Sudo's clip was a recent remake of the creepy "Last Kiss." It's one of about a half-dozen songs that immediately gets me to change the station. Call it "Waybrain" if you will, but I refuse to listen to someone blame God for a tragedy. I recognize "Embraceable You," of course, but I don't recognize the singer. George

Houston has a professional soccer franchise now. (From L.A., I think.) Anyway, they tried to pick a team name that couldn't offend anybody, so no Indian names, no animals, no nothing. They named the team "The 1835" to commemorate Texas Independence. So now what happens? Some Mexican-"Americans" are offended becuase Texas won its independence from Mexico. Sheeesh! I hope the Philadelphia 76'ers are paying attention. Some Brits might be peeved at their obviously "inflammatory" title! George

Let's see... I got reproved for NOT having intercourse with a young woman I was dating. I got reamed for leading songs (from the songbook) that NOT EVERYBODY KNEW. I was excoriated (I don't get to use that word much) by my BC for not selling the house I owned, free and clear, and moving sixty miles from work so I could be closer to twig. (Additionally, the TC at teh time wound up moving ANOTHER 60 miles away to be closer to HIS work!) George

I figured out Kathy's clip from teh clues. I actually watched the show regularly, though I admit to not remembering the theme. I don't know which soap Sudo's clip is from. My mom started watching "As the World Turns" when she was pregnant with me and watched until the day she died. She also watched a number of others as teh years rolled by. George

Can you say "Darrin Stevens"? Or for that matter, half the cast of "Petticoat Junction," etc. Cast changes were not that uncommon in the "old days." Since TV requires suspension of disbelief, anyway, how hard is it to believe the new actor or actress is the same character? George

I do believe the Strange one is correct. Who would have a jazz version of "Danny Boy" except Danny Thomas? I didn't realize that the show was on for 12 years, probably because I wasn't alive for three of them and probably only watched three years of TV before it was cancelled. George Oh, and nice song, Cowgirl!

Actually, Shelley was Nanette's niece. She's also the voice of Ma Kent in at least one Justice League episode! George

Sudo, your clip is the same as Kathy's. I thoght it was the main theme from NBC's Mystery Movie of the Week, but it appears I'm mistaken. It might be the Banacek theme, but I can't find it anywhere to compare. It's not McMillan and Wife. George Oh, I still watch several hours of TV a week, though it's almost all hour-long dramas now, instead of all teh sitcoms I used to watch. I watch sci-fi like "Surface"; super-hero stuff like "Smallville"; and a couple of cop dramas: "NCIS" and "Monk." The only half-hour shows I watch are Justice League and Batman cartoons.

Kathy, Was that the main theme from the "NBC Mystery Movie of the Week"? Each of the shows had its own theme, as well; Henry Mancini wrote the main theme. George
