  1. Kevin is right, Bill Gaither who wrote lyrics and music for Family of God found out, threatened to sue for copyright infringement when Farrell and Wierwille re-wrote the words without asking permission. Also Lanny Wolfe's God's Wonderful People.
  2. Native African hymns and Negro Spirituals use call and response, but adults singing children's songs on a regular basis is just plain stupid. Once in awhile is fine, but how often can you sing Jesus Loves me. Same thing with repetive Worship choruses like Lord I lift your name on high. boring
  3. Now I am hearing Hillsongs "The Stand by Joel Houston" but I enjoyed youalls silliness with kids songs,
  4. Here I am to save the day-Mighty Mouse now is in THE WAY
  5. no wonder his detractors called him "here Tick"(heretic) I know, I will never make it on comedy Central
  6. O God, another Jonathiam and Mike clone. Yes VPW has replaced Jesus Christ as the the Messiah returned. BTW, I find Bullinger, Kenyon, Stiles, Leonard, etc. more honest than Wierwille and most of them were Trinitarians. If the truth about him had been known back in the 70's, very few would have believed his "vision", the man was totally delusional, and how dare you compare him to Christ, Paul, Peter, etc. Slandering them by equating them and VPW.
  7. as for the sexual crimes of Wierwille, too bad the net didn't exist. Personally if VP had lived and all the victims had come forth to file a lawsuit similar to Martindale, "the Teacher" would likely been prosecuted and it is too bad Mrs. wierwille didn't file for divorce. You have not read the reports here on Greasespot. Maybe VPW, Geer, and Martindale should have been pedophiles like Sandrusky or closet homosexuals.
  8. btw, our chutch purchased the materuals and has it stored there for future use. Can PFAL or WAP make the same claim and say, alright DVD's, books, and meals cost nothing? Doubt it, too much a cash cow
  9. wish that had been true but another slick car sales man pitch
  10. to respond to John Juddess, Viola says he is beyond evangelical, neither religious right fundamentalist not left wing libertine. Christ alone and only, an obsession spiritually. Everyone is equally submissive and subjected to each other, no leaders(all are leaders and "ordained") and all do the same thing spiritually as mentioned above. More of hands on training where everyone mentors/tutors everyone else, other words everyone is pastor/deacon/teacher/apostle/evangelist/missionary/bishop who are spiritually mature "elders" even if they are in their 20's, spiritual guidance counselors and advisors. Which would mean you and other clergy would be permanently defrocked and have to find a secular job/vocation/career for work but could continue with other laity to baptise, consecrate communion, and perform weddings(telling county clerk of court screw you) but would be stripped of "ordaination". Viola 's other books include Epic Jesus and Eternal Purpose. final word on this topic from me.
  11. another thing that irked me was "reaching into Daddy' cookie jar". Bet his mother and father slapped his hands with the literal thing, and yet VPW wanted us to believe in stealing something from God, with/without his permission on the sly was honorable? WTFH was that all about? Father, I am going to threaten and bully you until you tell me everything about you and I want it now on my timetable, not yours? Wrong Father, more like the pharisees and Saducees that Jesus spoke about. He really was never or rarely humble to take reproof from anyone, including God. But you cross him, you were a dead duck.
  12. "It sits there like a duck", well if it walks and quacks like one, then Wierwille was right. Surprisingly, he spoke truth when he said Jesus Christ is coming back as the Lord God Almighty.
  13. Gigou is a French name that was used by the Waldensians, a precursor of the Moravian/Bohemian Brethern/Unitas Fratum. The name is based on Peter Waldo from northern Italy, the valdois or valley. Kevin is a distant 5th cousin to my late father through his 1st cousin's wife. Personally I hold no grudge against him or Sara(a victim herself in many ways)
  14. hey, HQ needs him spinning to run the fountain and all electricity there I think Dorethea/Dotsie is buried next to him
  15. I don't use wierwille's materials but have used the original sources at times, eg. Torrey, Kenyon, Bullinger, Wigglesworth, Lamsa and Errico,Stiles, Leonard, Vale, Mosley(but no longer Pillai)
  16. My church has shown Nicky Gumbel's Alpha course several times within the last 12 years, never asked for any donations for materials or food for meals. Not everyone stays for the entire class. We now have added other related materials from church of England, Lutheran, United methodist, etc. After each session, we break up into groups ranging from 5-12 people, allow new folks to ask questions(most have been Christian their entire lives though not necessarily Lutheran or Episcopalian). Some chose to join our congregation, others did not. One was a female Wiccan whose boyfriend was Christian. She completed the class but never has attended any denominational/institutional church, or independent house church/home fellowship/local spiritual assembly and still practices white magic(unfortunately her boyfriend ended up joining her coven). We now include Reality by Michael Green, Open Home/Bible, Christianity Explored, Beginnings-Rob Weber, Christian Believer, Foundations-Thomas Holliday, Powersurge-Michael Foss, etc. No fees for DVD and books, meals, or anything else. Too bad TWI, CFFM, S&TF/CES, TLTF, CR&F, etc. don't offer free classes. Hey, so what if no one shows up?
  17. Too bad Wierwille didn't follow that advice, Love God, love and serve others, finally love yourself(but don't be egotitical about it)
  18. Christian Research and Fellowship(late John Hendricks group from FL and GA) has a similar new re-translation bible that off shoot is doing. Not sure about Christian Family Fellowship Ministries(Kevin and Sara Gigou's group from Tipp City).
  19. Wierwille's false ideal premise was the military like West Point and boot camp where DI's, Mst. Sgt. were bullies to destroy individualism and create group think robots/androids. If any upper classmen or officer physically assaults a pleb or private, they not only get court martialed with discharge with dishonor but can and most like be charged in civil/criminal court and sent to prison. Wierwille, Martindale, Geer, Sommerville, and Linder would have likely murdered the drill instructors, sargents, and officers and to hell with anyone else. They would have drugged every human being and bullied every one. Wierwille had no bussiness background nor training to be a credible religion professor or administrator of higher education.
  20. was thinking more like Beavis and Butthead myself
  21. I agree with Java Jane. does that make Wierwille, Martindale, and Geer "seed boys"?
  22. reminds me of the Capitol One commercial which asks What's in your wallet? If that is TWI asking, reply it's none of their bussiness
  23. isn't that The Silence from Doctor Who, or was that a Weeping Angel?
