  1. Waysider. Some people (of whom I am one) do not experience their/our current "beer" as something to be savored. Some people have a sucky life, with more hurt and dirt than happiness and good times. I can understand why people without a longing for heaven and to see the face of Jesus Christ and to hear Him say, "well done" have no reason to live. Didn't we have a song, On Monday I was all alone On Tuesday my sins to atone On Wednesday well I cried and I cried On THursday, well I thought I would die. On Friday I took session one On Saturday well the fun's just begun On Sunday the heavens did part I got the love of God in my heart. No reason to sigh anymore No reason to cry anymore No reason to die anymore I got the love of God in my heart. I related to this. That's why I held onto twi so long. It wasn't Jesus Who rescued me but PFAL. vp never wanted to hand us to Jesus but wanted us in bondage to his cult. However, some were able to see His face and those of us who are with Him still have that love of God in our hearts and the reason for living through this valley of tears no matter how bitter it is.
  2. Only recently did I realize that vp's words did not have the flavor of truth in my brain. I am one who put the "Holy Spirit usages" into any Bible I got. Had many (too many) Bibles defaced in agreement with what vp said was correct. The sounds of the poems and hyms and biblical truths still are in the frame of vp's voice because I listened to PFAL and the SNS teachings so so so very much when I could hear and now that I am deaf the only wordy sounds I hear are those from the memory of my heart. (A deaf person does have lots of whisles and squeaks and rumbles and screeches from one's brain rattling around.) But recently I realized that The Bible itself is stronger in my. Such a nice "revelation" to have. And just because I remember something that vp said doesn't make it right. This is a big breakthrough for me.
  3. Here is a link to some pictures from Akiane Kramarik, This is her view of heaven: And her view of Jesus, which I find especially lovely.

    Just Some Quotes

Love others the way that God has loved you, with tenderness.— Mother Teresa
  5. Many (if not most) people have a sucky life, and life is full of tribulations, grief, sorrows, adversities, etc. etc. etc. The hope is what such people (of whom I am one) live for. I believe that the failure to have the hope of Jesus Christ is why suicide is increasing. Muslims have their hope of virgins and whatever for which they are willing to perform suicide acts to kill Christians and Jews. Christians will live and try to do good and live in the light of their/our hope of having the Lord say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."
  6. I think physical body is dead. When vp was insulting people who believed in life after [physical] death and ridiculed them with such things as "if they are floating around in heaven why do they need to come back to pick up a body?" imho vp routinely set himself up as our god, defining what we should believe. However, I don't exactly know, and trust the the Good Good (who is still much bigger and certainly more truly loving than vp ever was) has things under control. When Fred was dying I saw him walk from the bedroom through the living room (he had been having a rough time getting to sleep and I fell asleep on the couch), and as he walked past me I saw all the hurts and weights of time, the diseases and aches and troubles just "vanish" and he was better than when I first met him in college (he was 26). I called an ambulance to take him to the VA hospital, and didn't see him again in his right mind. I wish I had known that he was dying. WIsh I had prayed harder and maybe he would still be here. . . all those wishes will be resolved. Something like the guy who wrote Amazing Grace had to deal with all the sins of his life before he was called home to be with the Lord. My experience with Fred fits right in with what I have read in some of the I-was-in-heaven-and-this-is-what-I-saw testimonies (one of the nicest ones I like is "Heaven is for real" which is the story of what a small child saw when he went to heaven). From what I have read, in heaven there is no sickness, no disabilities, everyone is in their prime of life. And it was so comforting to see Fred like that, he had been deteriorating for so many heartbreaking years. the vision was clear and plain, as when other Christian people describe their visions and experiences with heaven. Nothing shadowy or unclear or scary or confused. It was simple and clean and wonderful. Writing this I got a nice laugh -- Fred didn't have to walk past me. He could have just gone straight up from the bedroom, but it was a kindness to me from him and God. That's the way God does stuff -- Kindly. Nice. My work today is to figure out how to live the best possible life I can today, so that my time when I get to heaven, whenever that is, will be some Great Fun!!!!! And I do look forward to having some good laughs and some good times with people and pets and flowers and trees that I have known here on earth, without the tears and sorrows and pains and griefs. What a day that will be, in my opinion.

    sandusky

It's a hard subject. My heart goes out to everyone involved, including Sandusky. Jesus Christ really did pay it all. And people such as Sandusky are covered by John 3:16, forGodsolovedtheworld...
  9. A dear friend said that Holy Spirit showed him his life like a 100-year football game, and therefore (he is late 60's) he is still in the 3rd quarter and the 4th quarter is where most of the major plays are made. So it should be with us. I am 66, went deaf, lost my husband, went deaf, am pretty close to destitute but the 23+ years I spent in twi, although they were "prime" years are receding in their proportion of my life the longer I live. I don't know if I will have a 100-year life which my friend is expecting (He comes from a long-lived family), but my dad and his brother lived into their 90s and late 80's, respectively, and my mom's side had some good long lived people there as well, so I am thinking I still may have time for a touchdown or two. I know I am responsible for living the best I can in the moments I have right now, and that the weight of the sins of unforgiveness, bitterness, and regret are too heavy to bear. God has not forsaken me and I still have hope and trust God for His kindness and protection, His care and concern. I am so very very thankful that God got me out of twi. WIthout Greasespot Cafe (and WayDale and Transchat) even though I was kicked out of twi I still might be kicking myself for my spiritual weakness which caused me to be "marked and avoided"!!! But because of God's mercy and kindness and the work of all the kindhearted people who have shared their/your life stories, I have been able to keep growing with the Lord and in my life with the Holy Spirit, but it definitely requires leaving bitterness etc. behind.
  10. Found this on the Internet and thought it was too cool for words. Also enjoyed the current validation that the kindness of God was not the private property of twi
  11. As soon as you quit your body starts to heal itself and recover.
  12. Received this which highlights the forgiveness of the Lord (which I believe we are called to do likewise)
  13. For some, this type of stuff was and is our life. The Bible is a most precious love letter from God. When the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit came around a number of years ago I was able to go, and seeing that scroll of Isaiah and how some guys had "penned" it so carefully, and rolled it and put it in that jar, sealed it up and put it "just so" (where the Holy Spirit told him) so that it would escape the ravages of time, weather, treasure hunters for all these years. Every Bible we have has a story of God's kindness by the hand of people who truly cared enough to send the very best (Hallmark didn't dream that up, God did.) Thought you would like this.
  14. Awesome. makes sense to me. Love it. Thanks surguessalot :) i think that a person cannot become forgiving without the presence of the Holy Spirit because He shows what is on the other side of that door. I really liked the picture of the fingers touching in the cistine chapel which Waydale used so much. The touch is the Holy Spirit. We really do what we can, and then the Holy Spirit makes the connection. There is a promise of a special crown for those who suffer the Martyr's cross, and it looks to me like that's because of the depth of forgiveness which one who has endured such persecution can offer as his/her sacrifice. for those to whom eternal rewards are the goal, then forgiveness is definitely a high water mark.
  15. Excathedra. I don't know what is the relationship of bitterness to unforgiveness. From what I could see in the Bible, bitterness can come upon us (like it did with Naomi). But Naomi appeared to go with the flow of God's kind deliverance and although she told her family and friends when returning home from Moab that she should be called "bitter," there is no indication that her name was changed to "bitter." And Naomi was the one who knew that Boaz was a good man and would do right by Ruth. I wonder if Naomi knew she was performing as a prophet -- guiding Ruth in the way to go so that the Christ line would not be lost. (Something else to find out about once I get to heaven, if I haven't found out before then.) So it now appears to me (and this may change because it's an "opinion" formed from reading between the lines that I know) that unforgiveness is something we must consciously and continuously work at and that bitterness appears to be like a "disease" which comes upon us and which the Lord can heal when we trust Him. From Francis Frangipane regarding how forgiveness helps us not get deceived in our "discernment"
  16. Dave Anderson had a nice story of the race yesterday. Thought you might like to see it. God is so kind of funny to us. Kit (still hoping and praying to be able to hear before the gathering together)
  17. smoking killed Fred and and two other dear friends... It's a killer. I have cried too much for this. What a waste of money. Makes life wasted. So sad.
  18. Face too ugly to look at. I could not bring myself to play it.
  19. I love to tithe and give special offerings. It's a Godly principle that works and helps keep me ever mindful that without the Lord I would have nothing. Without the Lord this place would collapse, and paying my tithe is a personal affirmation of that oh-so-dependent relationship. The actual wickedness, in my opinion, is that veepee doctrinalized Godly principles without the Holy Spirit's annointing, and he used his ill-gotten gains in most despicable and definitely unChristian manner, and thereby he made God's blessings on us and for us appear detestable to us. Reading the Bible, going to Church, and paying the tithe are not the problem. Doing these things or anything without the presence of the Holy Spirit is the problem. Anything done without the presence of the Holy Spirit leads to the hard heartedness which is without profit before God. When Jesus is chastising the Pharisees for their hypocricy, he says that they should not abandon the tithe to do [Godly] judgment and the love of God. He said, "these things [judgment and the love of God] ought you to have done and not leave the other [tithes] undone. (Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42). We bring the blessing of God when we do the things He says and we bring the wages of sin, which is death, to any area of our life when we ignore His direction and run into the brick wall by disobedience, in my opinion. God does not promise a way free from troubles if we tithe. Troubles come upon us all, but the way we deal with them is the demonstration of our relationship with the Lord. There is a Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani who is currently in Iranian prison for becoming a Christian. He has been imprisoned for 2 1/2 years and was sentenced to death and pictures were distributed over the Internet showing him standing before the gallows ready to be hanged. However, the latest news of him states that his son spent his birthday with him on April 2, 2012, and then on April 11, he spent his birthday with his wife and two sons (story here) TWI ignored (among countless things) the lesson learned by Job and others in the Bible -- that God does things in His way on His timetable, and a trouble free life is not a testimony of godliness. A legacy of godliness, such as was left by Chuck Colson, BG Leonard, JE Stiles, Bullinger, Norman Vincent Peale, Thomas Kinkade, and so many many others, including the nameless ones who lived their lives in the presence of the Lord Jesus but never stood before crowds or wrote famous books. veepee and his wickedness will be resolved by the Lord, and, in my opinion, the task before us is not to try to judge veepee -- that job has been (or will be soon depending upon how the timetable of things is played out) performed most perfectly by the Lord. It behooves us, rather, to make sure that the life we liveswill allow us to stand before the Lord unashamed when we meet Him face to face. That's what I try to do.
  20. Received an email today with the lesson of the Honey Bee as a comparison to anger and how anger destroys the Honey Bee. The honey bee (or any bee I think) in his wrath sticks his stinger into a person who will get a little bump in most cases (yes there are some who are so allergic to the sting of a bee or wasp he or she could die, but this is rare. We had lots of bees around when I was growing up and bee stings were usual and customary occurrences.) The bee's sting is always fatal to the bee. And this analogy can be carried to unforgiveness, in my opinion. Our wrath may sting our victim more or less depending upon the sensitivity of our target, but unforgiveness is always fatal to the one holding the grudge. That root of bitterness grows within and destroys the fruits of the kindness of God, and the promise of God's Word in II Corinthians 2 documents that lack of forgiveness is the primary way satan gets advantage of us.
  21. Basic something, in my opinion, is that when vp or anyone steals spiritual lessons etc. the power of the Holy Spirit does not come with the stolen material. Holy Spirit is precious and His presence is with those who walk in the kindness of the Lord. Therefore, to get the stuff in it's original context you must obtain it lspiritually legally (so to speak). In order to get the impact of BG Leonard and JE Stiles and so many others that have been cited as veepee's "source material" you must get that stuff in the original, in my opinion.
  22. Thanks cman. That's really close to what I was aiming for => Our Lord gave His life and bore the sins of the whole world, including mine. What is so precious to me of biblical research is that it brings me into the deepness of the scriptures where I can see more of the face of the Lord and feel His breath, that pneuma, that ruach of the cool of the day where God meets us and shows us He loves us beyond what we could know without His help. We require the Holy Spirit to understand what the Bible is saying, and biblical research should bring us into greater life with Him. All the details of the crucifixion (or any other subject matter of the Bible) should all fit together. Because each of us knows in part our works should help each other understand more and more of the Lord's presence in our lives. That's the goal, in my opinion.
  23. I received this from a dear friend. Below is my Acts 17:11 response. Please feel free to add whatever you find. Kit Sober. Six crucified with Jesus? Hmmmmmm The cult many of us came from arrogantly and adamantly held certain doctrines (Biblical opinions one feels are inerrant interpretations of the Bible). Many such doctrines were at odds with mainstream Christianity, which is what a cult requires to build and support the isolation it needs to insulate itself against outside influence. Doctrines such as Jesus was born September 11, died on Wednesday after 3:00 pm, but before sunset (the end of the day in eastern culture) and was raised exactly 72 hours later Saturday evening, before sunset, before the Passover (three days and three nights), and there were four crucified with Him were droned into us. Such doctrines (and many others), which may or may not be the "final" word on the subject, had the primary effect of enhancing and ensuring an arrogance and adamancy that prevented the most precious (in God's eye) intimate relationship affection with other Christians (the blood flow of the Body of Christ) so that truth, if any, in the Biblical research performed by said cult could be worked through by other Christians with differing opinions and strengthen the whole Body. The isolated cult mind-set also took all the fun out of finding stuff in the Bible, which was a most happy playground at one time for many of us. (I even got reamed for laughing while praying with my children). There are many scriptures that support the multiple crucifixions, in addition to the spectacle of death culture of the Romans in charge of the day which also supports a mass execution scenario. Let's see if I can remember some of this stuff. (I threw out all those books because of the dirt mixed in with truth and that the guy who claimed authorship actually stole the research of others. I know it was the baby-with-the-bathwater stuff, and I am sorry now.) Regarding the guys crucified with Jesus, the following is what I find: -- duo kagourgai, wicked evil doers, "malefactors." Two malefactors led with him to be put to death (Luke 23:32, 33) One of the malefactors said "...Lord, remember me...." -- duo lestai λῃστης -- two thieves. These noted two thieves were crucified "then" (Matthew 27:38) after all the events preceding. The noteworthy first usage of thieves is this is what Jesus called the guys who made the temple "a den of thieves" (Matthew 21:13, Luke 19:46). Also the man rescued by the "good samaritan" had been attacked by lestai (Luke 10:30 and 36), Bothlestai, thieves, "cast the same in his teeth" at the crucifixion. (Matthew 28:38 and 44, Mark 15:27) I don't know what that figure of speech is, but it sounds terrible, and God uses figures of speech for emphasis. Also, Barabbas, who the crowd traded out for Jesus, was a lestai (John 18:40). From looking at this word lestai, it appears to me that those who rob God of His people do the same thing spiritually as these physical robbers do to their victims, and Jesus used lestai in his parable of the good samaritan and it was lestai robbers who made the temple (today it's His church, the Body of Christ) a den of thieves. Robbing God of His people is a most heinous crime. "People overcomers" is what I believe are the "Nicolaitanes" of Revelations 2:6, and 15, not people from a city so called, but a description of type of person that God hates. "God hates" sends chills down my spine to think of. "Nicolaitanes" is a combination of niko (overcomer, like Nike tennis shoes) and laos people. I didn't figure this out but read it from a guy, Dale Sides, who is still in ministry who left the same cult and his interpretation fits with the rest of the Word I know and have searched it out a little. These nicolaitanes strip people of their goods (their love of God and love of God's people) and leave them for dead. That's certainly what they did to my son Kevin and other precious people I have known from that cult. The only usage of lestai outside of the gospels is II Corinthians 11:26 where Precious Paul speaks of his perils, which include "in perils of robbers" which I now believe references that Paul contended with the "nicolaitanes" as well. In summary of the number of men crucified with Jesus: The cult I was in documented four, but there could be more. There needed to be more than two for a number of reasons: -- both robbers cast the same into Jesus' teeth, one malefactor said, "...Lord, remember me...." -- when the guys were doing their breaking of legs, they broke the legs of at least two of the convicts: They broke the legs of the "first" then the other crucified with Jesus (one of the malefactors), and then they came to Jesus and pierced His side (John 19:31-28) whcih doesn't make sense if there was only two. -- If there were only two crucified, Jesus would be "between" and not "in the midst" (John 19:18). Further research of "midst" reveals that it references the presence in a large bunch of stuff. John 19:18 could be a verse that shows that there were some (two?) crucified already before Jesus got there. The first (and Most Noteworthy) usage of "midst" in KJV is Genesis 1:6, where God said, "let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters." "Midst" always is within a bunch of stuff, which further supports that there could be more than just the four others crucified with Jesus. The last usage of "midst" is Revelation 22:2, which is pretty close to the end of the Book and shows some great stuff to look forward to. A most stunning statement that Mel Gibson made when he was questioned about "The Passion" was when he was asked something like, "Why did you show the torture of Jesus in all its bloody gore?" and Mel said, "I didn't." One of the most precious affirmations for me in this thingm "Jesus reveals details of His crucifixion," was of Jesus' mother, Mary, which the cult I was in degraded and they ridiculed Catholics for their love of her. Jesus said "by your love they will know you are My disciples" and so anything that builds love and affection is from the Lord and anything that does not is not, as far as I see it now. This was really nice to review because the bloody trail of the Lord is our life line. I also really like "satan and his demons who had infested their souls." That is such a great picture of how they work. Like termites eating out a house. I saw some huge cockroaches eating out palm trees in Florida. Ugh!!!!!! And there is nothing left when they are through. That's how those filthy things get people to turn away from the Lord!!!!!!

    Beating the Feet

Praying for your strength and stamina and that your road is smooth. I remember some guy who had one foot named "Glory" and the other "Hallelujah," and when I think of it I do the same to keep going when the road is tough. Praying for you from Reno Nevada.
