Yes, you have the right to LIE to others about what you claim I did/said... oh, wait, you REALLY do NOT. "like protecting" is nonsense. I did NOT defend him. I called your poor judgement in question. In response to YOUR expression of interest in him, I called into question why anyone would care, since he had resigned his office the day before. THAT is NOT defending him. Instead, what occurred is that in order to divert attention away from your obvious lack of common sense, you attempted to shift reader attention to me, FALSELY claiming that I was defending him. THAT is a demonstration of YOUR inability to be HONEST about your own conduct. You continue to demonstrate same. And you're doing quite the tap dance trying to convince everyone that you're interest in Nifong's situation was NOT political. That is COMPLETE bunk. If Nifong had gotten disbarred for something he did either in his private life (like commit a felony... rob a bank, domestic violence in his own home, bank fraud, arson or whatever...) THAT would NOT be about his politics. This guy got in trouble for -- as YOU also indicated -- abuse of power. What role was he attempting to fulfill when he abused power? Did he abuse power while he was acting in his role as a public official, in an office usually filled by an ELECTION? Can you answer NO to that? (Not truthfully). You want to pretend this is about an aspect of Nifong's life that is UNrelated to politics... go ahead. There's no law requiring you to act with common sense. We get Yogi-isms fairly regularly here in the desert because his buddy Joe Garagiola Sr. lives here and still fills in for Mark Grace on TV broadcasts when Grace goes on assignment for Saturday Fox broadcasts... Still younger than many of us... btw, during one summer in HS, I worked at a plant nursery store, watering the plants in containers... and delivering pizza (summer before my senior year in HS, 1971)... I have no idea how much I made doing either of those.... and the summer after graduating HS, was a "soda jerk" at a drug store that had a genuine soda fountain counter like in the movies (maybe like American Graffiti?)... but I also delivered Rx's to old folks nearby the drug store...

I had a paper route, age 12-13. My first entrepreneurial venture was around that time... I bought a used lawn mower with my paper route earnings and mowed lawns in the neighborhood... this was in Rochester NY... so, the mowing was definitely seasonal. Did some baby sitting... don't remember when I started, but did so probably until I was 14 or 15. At 16, started working at a fast food place. I think I was making about $1.10/hour - $1.40/hour at a couple of places before going to college and doing some part-time work study job for/at the college. First FULL time job -- age 18. Air Force recruit, basic training, rank -- E-1 (Airman Basic), 1973. Monthly salary -- $307.00/month.

Yes CHEATERS. Endorsed, after the fact, by the NBA commissioner. Tell me that the Spurs championship would NOT mean MORE if the Spurs had won with Diaw and Stoudemire PLAYING the game they had to sit out. That means, NO legitimacy to ANY claim by the spurs, thanks to Cheap Shot Bob WHOREy, to this season's championship... It was WHOREy's CHEATING that destroyed ALL credibility to said claims this year. His action was intentional and it was illegal. And even IF it was NOT the difference in the West final series, we will NEVER know. That's why those who lost the MOST by WHOREy's cheating are WHOREy's teammates.

NO... I mean they CHEAT. The San Antonio Spurs are a despicable disgrace. The ONLY way I would watch ANY of those games in the final is if Robert Whorey were IN the game after having had ALL of his teeth knocked out ON the court during the previous game. There is NOTHING of CHAMPIONship caliber about a team that can only get to the finals by CHEATING. And that cheating was endorsed, after the fact, by the GODDAMNED commissioner of the NBA. HE and THEY are worthless as teats on a boar hog.

Oh? I spent 7 weeks in San Antonio in the summer of 1973, and I'm NOT impressed.... ... especially since the Spurs had to cheat to beat the Suns. This season's Spurs are NOTHING if forced to play clean.
