  1. I'm trying to help a friend with their computer. They had dowloaded the annoying bonzi monkey. After uninstalling the annoying little bugger, the sound and voice still remain. When the sound pops up (at any time and never the same time) it gives error messages like kernal such-and-such and others. Any idea how to get rid of the last of this annoying monkey?? Thanks
  2. I once did a long indept paper on friends vs. acquatintances... You can know someone 20 years and when the chips are down they don't stick by you.. An "actual" friend will stick by you no matter what you are going thru or what they are going through. They WILL be there for you NO matter what. It's kind of interesting to see when you are in a position to have a "need" or see someone that has a "need"..how you react. Or a position where someone tells you a secret.....and how you react. "Friendship" can be a very sacred thing...or miss-used greatly. What are your thoughts? ..............."ME? I would stick to them like a brother if they were honest." YOU? Or your thoughts
  3. Mine described me almost to a "t"....just a few that seemed inaccurate to me. Was a fun site though.
  4. I would nominate RumRunner cause he wouldn't take any shi$$ but would try to make things right....if it meant tearing it down and rebuilding or whatever.....he would do it.....

    i'm bummed

Agree with supply and demand....but there are times that you don't need to pay for it. People still make money when pets are required to go to a vet for a condition.....but there are resources now that people can get answers and not have to spend that money (especially when they don't have it and love their pet) :)

    8th Corps

    I replied.....not showing me tho
  7. I don't think it can be salvaged NOW. I just "scanned" this post....sorry....so if my response is inappropriate just ignore it. I think back in the late 60's and early 70's it was extremely valuable to people. I think people were searching---drugs, alcohol, freedom, God. I think it was very very very valuable back then. But it changed over time and years. What it even was in the mid-80's wasn't close to what it was in the early 70's....like two different places, two different houses so you can't compare. I can understand, actually, kids that "grew up" there....least if they grew up in the late 60's and 70's that would want that "feeling" back....but, no, they won't be able to restore it no matter how hard they try. They might "miss" that era, but that era is gone forever. They won't be able to re-create it, what I think (personally) is why they would want to "salvage" it. You have a time period in your life where it's uforic (sp)....and of course we would all like to live in that fantasy, but reality in the world doesn't make it so. So, I can see how they would want to "salvage" that feeling, memory; but it will never happen and they can't re-create it. It's gone.....as is the 70's.

    8th Corps

I'm here too . NIce to see ya'll....Lifted :) , Rum, Kansas, Marx, etc., etc. . I'm still around....just dodge the bullets like probably a lot of ya . I'll try to keep the thread going too :) . Overall, from knowing MANY Corps from 2 - 13, I think the 8th had more shi$ together then the others...but, of course, no prejudice there or anything...LOL.

    i'm bummed

I, too, know how you feel. I grew up poor and my goal was to "get out of that area of my life." However, my house is also needing much, much, much needed repair and I have 3 dogs and a cat. The one dog is like 15 years old and the cat is 10. When both were sick (different times), I went to this web site. This site has people that raise animals and actual vets that will respond to you. If you explain what's going on with your pet, they will tell you what you can do personally to help it or if it's a situation where you actually need to take it to a vet. I would think it is worth checking out because it might be something you can simply medicate at home. http://forums.pethobbyist.com/index.php Hope it helps! They helped on both mine and I never had to take them to the vet.
  10. Happy Birthday Raf! Hope your day was super duper special!!
  11. I'm surprised they let her have her name on her drivers license. You'd have "thunk" they woulda made her change her name before they'd issue a license.
  12. What are you looking for? He boinked me? He used condem...he didn't use a condem? He sucked my tits or didn't...he gave me alcohol or didnt. What is the POINT???
  13. Why is this so important to know? Or why are you obsessed by it????
  14. Glad you're back and healthy Rum!!!! Won't ask for a dance as my card seems to be full.... as is yours
  15. One of the fun times for me while being involved with TWI was sitting on the porch at Don's (who owned the gas station in town). His house was right next to the station. His son, Denny, and my roomie, DeeAnn and I used to sit on the swing on that porch and drink beer and yell "WAYER" to cars that went buy with a bumper sticker on them or cars we recognized. (DeeAnn and I were both on staff at that time too). VP would get calls at 2 and 3 a.m. about us. He called us into his office once at 2:30 a.m. from yet another phone call & asked what we thought we were doing. Wittnessing, of course, was our answer as we laughed our butts off. He just chuckled & sent us on our way. That is just "one" of the fun memories I have.

    save on gas

If you actually want to save on gas when you have to fill up, click on or type in this link. It will ask for the zip code in your area. When you put in your zip, it will show you by price (lowest price first) what each gas station in your area is asking for gas so that you can find the cheapest station near you. It is updated everyday. http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations....p=&src=Netx

Happy Birthday BB!!! Hope you have the most wonderful day yet!!!
  19. I checked out www.e-sword.net today. I've heard some really good things about it and it is a free download. Just thought someone might be interested in another free-be.
  20. Just get tired, really, of the original getting bashed. Then and now are like today and yesterday. Can't compare, but don't put them in the same jar because they won't fit. I don't post a lot unless it is meaninful or annoys me greatly. Just don't trash it all...two different times is what I want folks to see. Can't incorporate the two different times.
  21. You want clips or details how he dealt with people in bed and how he got them there?
  22. Then "current" corps has nothing to do with me....just get tired of the bashing. Some of us I don't think were asses. The Corps had it's good points, if you accepted some and rejected what didn't fit -- personal choices. Just get tired of everything being bashed. I still think it saved some people.
  23. Scanned...and just get so tired of the early folks getting bashed at all points. Just two different administrations going on.
  24. During the 70's......I re-wrote the AC syllaubs with the direction of VP and LCM. Auh, the 70's.
  25. Not EVERYONE before the 80's was in as an foot ..... I went in for personal reasons....to get more knowledge....but I didn't swallow everything that was dished out to me. I made the choice...swallow or put in the garbage can. I know later years were different, but it's apparently two different Corps-type administrations. Please don't group ALL the Corps into one thing on someone's plate. Not all of us were taught, reacted, or did what those in the 90's did. There is a distinction....I would appreciate if that distinction were at least acknowledge if not respected. Some that post here are in the 70's, 80's period. Some are 90's and up. It was different then, so please don't put everyone in the same soup pot.
