Hi TF! Yeah, the least he could do is extend to you some amt. of professional courtesy. Sorry to hear he hasn't. He played a lot of games with me, or tried to. I was not impressed and just looked at him funny. One day he called me over to his "lodge." When I got there, Arlene didn't know what to say so she was quiet and told me I could sit down and wait. After about 10 mins., I asked where he was. She said he was in the john. I heard the flush but he never came out. After about 20 mins., Arlene said she guessed I could go. I looked at her funny, gave her one of those fake way smiles, and left. He never did say what he wanted, and I surmised he was just playing with me. Sigh. Later, the next block, he was at E teaching something, so I went up to the stage after the teaching and said hi. He looked right through me, never acknowledged my presence, and never spoke to me. Haha. Poor guy.

Toadfriend, I emailed Lou and he emailed me back. Very friendly. Wanna go up there sometime this summer? wb

igotout, I know. We would have bought one, under normal circumstances, but I have been in grad school and working part time most of this year. What do you recommend that doesn't cost much but is good? Can we get one for $200 yet? We have a year old monitor, ELEMENTS brand (sounds kookie, but works fine and it's large). You are right, I just don't have time to keep fiddlin with this thing all of the time. The last time I checked, a good computer costed more around $900 at Dell. Any ideas? wb

Thanks, guys. Yes, the last time I ran all of those things, I wasn't working that week and it took me 2 days to clean it up, REALLY. It took a lot of time. Maybe I should just start putting those things in my planner, e.g. Mon. run Ad Aware; Tues. Run Spybot; Wed. defrag, etc. Otherwise, it takes too long.

Does Trend Micro have a firewall? I'm not sure. The popup just says, "You have 82% free space" or something like that everytime it pops up at startup.

Does anyone know how to stop this window from popping up everytime I start up? Thx!

Thanks, WW. I went to Add/Remove software earlier and removed it before seeing your msg. When I rebooted, it was gone, but the computer still started to run very loudly for about 5 mins. and then stopped. Do you know what could be causing this? Also, is there anything else I should do to get rid of anything else that might be left behind? I have windows 98. Thanks! You're great!

I want to get rid of it because it somehow got into my startup and is slowing down my computer. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, wb
