post-548-1165187802_thumb.jpgI thought I would show a pic of one of the five bushes I have on the side of my house.Ok, this may be corny, but this is how a Holly plant really grows. Its about 5ft high and 10 ft in circumference..this is for those who have never seen one, like me, till I moved here.

math teacher in high school mrs. holiday -- named her daughter happy

weird right ?

My chemistry lab partner at college was one Don Hock.

He introduced me to the Jesus freak group I was in before twi.

Coupla years after I met him and the group -- he married a woman named Maggie.

Their first child was a daughter --- and they named her ---

Holly.

(Nice pics Likeaneagle. :) I don't think those grow up here).

No parents were ever more mean (or more naive) than those of (may he rest in peace) Harry Cox. What a cross to bear for a young guy growing up. I would have changed my name.

Back to the topic...

We had holly growing wild in Washington when I lived there. I loved it! I love its shiny leaves.

Back to the derail: I used to have a gynecologist named Dr. Butt. When he got me all doped up for surgery, I told him he needed to change his specialty. He didn't laugh...prolly heard it a zillion times before, but the nurses did.

Re-rail...

This thread reminds me of a song I learned in high school choir...the holly and the ivy...la la la la la la,

of all the trees that are in the wood, the holly la da da. Wow. Flashback! But I think LAE is right...I think it is a bush, not a tree.

continuing :offtopic:

I went to school with Penny Dollar and Dawn Rising.

My podiatrist is Dr. Funk.

My pyschiatrist is Dr. Saini (pronounced Sane-ee)

My therapist is Dr. Grimm.

No wonder I'm

Rerail:

I remember some men recommending that I plant holly bushes around my windows for protection when I got divorced. Ummm..... no thanks!
