In a month, we will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of GreaseSpot Cafe. The current site is 4 years old. We are in the process of redesigning the whole site.

The Front end of the site will have the most change. And there is a good chance that the forum will be changed drastically also.

As we are evaluating options, I wanted to open a discussion letting you suggest things that you would want to see in the new site.

Some things we are looking to add is a new chat room; a calendar; an image gallery; a knowledgebase for computer help and some new article sections.

So if there is something that you would like to see, let's discuss it. Many of the things are going to be done to speed the site up.

Paw -- to me this site is a *light in the night*. Do whatever you need to to make it better. (I don't know what all that entails) -- but do what you have to do, to make it meet your specifications.

A long as I can access it -- I for one will be happy. I have met many folks here on both sides of any given issue, and I am proud to call them all friends, and would sincerely miss that if I could not access the site.

Like Cowgirl said -- I am just getting used to the way it is working now -- but if it changes -- well, I guess I can get used to that too. smile.gif:)-->

Wow....5 years....(((((Pawtucket)))) thankyou.

dmiller said it well 8this site is a *light in the night*

It is as important to me now as it was when I tentatively walked through the doors when you opened.

So much healing, so many memories....sigh

I think that the site is awsome as is.....but will eagerly embrace the improvements.

Thank you, Paw, for Greasespot Cafe. It has changed my life in someways and I appreciate what you continue to do very much.

How about adding a *yellow highlight* icon that we can use when we are posting things?

That's all I can think of right now.

Like this? yellow

That's not a bad idea, but I think that people should at least have 100 posts before they can do that! Make sure they are regular contributors and not fly by nights.

I Worked hard for my "Brat" title!!!!!

Most of my suggestions are probably in the works.

They all relate to the ability of new arrivals to be brought up to

speed.

(Except I'd rename "WayDale Documents" as "Documents".)

I'd like a set of articles for the newbies that give thumbnail

sketches of the history of twi, decade by decade

(one for the 50s, one for the 60s, etc, thru the 00s.)

Nothing book-length, just enough so that they get an overview of the

major events of that decade.

I'd like to see an organized glossary of terms of twi-speak and

GSC-speak, which means someone would need to organize the thread

we have on that and present it in some sort of coherent order,

say, alphabetical, with each term's information all grouped together.

It probably would be of benefit to include a tally of twi's

moneymaking enterprises, and how much each costs/costed, and when.

It would help if the links for where to go if you need professional

help were easier to find off the main site.

I'd like to see an article on the history of the "Corps Chalet"

and so on.

I'd like to see a rundown of the books vpw recommended or carried

in the bookstore, and their contents

(Hunt Close, Myth of the Six Million, etc.)

I'd like to see a nice breakdown of the authors vpw ripped off,

with examples (Leonard, Stiles, Kenyon, Bullinger).

I'd like to see an article on the various luxuries of twi-

"your ABS at work", like the planes, snowmobiles, etc,

including when the catowner said people should get rid of their cats.

I'd also like to see a side-by-side comparison

of what is required of lay-leaders in a Christian organization

vs what's required of a twig coordinator/Advanced grad.

====

That's what I'd like to see, anyway.

Let me know if you need me to work on that glossary.

WB there is no icon you have to use HTML

Scroll back up to Paw's post and copy and paste the code he posted for you.

If you type this or copy and paste it in your post it will highlight. Where it says "#FFFF00" you can change it to any color To change it type in pink or blue instead of #FFFF00 Where It says "something like this" you can put whatever you want to say between the brackets >
