krys..."no men" as in "if there are going to be men, the men are going to be wearing g-strings under their pants and we're going to stuff those pants with dollar bills hoping to get to the g-strings". It's Kansas City, girl! LOTS of options for flirting...hehehehe.
Safari Vista...hmmm...well...how Gone Wild can a girl get with kids in tow? ;)
Tom...WD...jealousy does not become either one of you!
krys..."no men" as in "if there are going to be men, the men are going to be wearing g-strings under their pants and we're going to stuff those pants with dollar bills hoping to get to the g-strings".
Let's see here --- I have 32 G-strings at my house.
Problem is, I'm part Smith, Brown, Jones and Williams and have vowed to never miss another family reunion if there's any way at all that I can be there. I missed too many of them when I was a TWIt and married to one. Now I'm saving my vacation days and spending money for those events.
The Jones Reunion is tentatively set for June 10th week-end
The Smith Reunion is June 23-26
The Brown Reunion is July 7-10
Haven't heard from the Williams side yet
Don't plan around me, but know that if there's any way I can be there, I will.
Don't count on me to come if there's no men! Who would I flirt with.
....Aah Krisylis, you are my kind of a gal!
But then again, like Tom said; I thought you all were heading out to Heidi Fliess's Stallion Ranch. Chickenin' out? But then again, it was that "Naughty Rottie Girl" who started all of that!
We've just run into a bit of trouble with the authorities..... :unsure: Seems someone alerted them to the dangers of having all us wimmin' from here in one place. So we're having to get a "Party Permit" or something like that...and now the cops want to make sure that we know the proper procedure for placing dollar bills in thongs. There's a class we have to take where they strip and assess our pay placing techniques to make sure we don't go crazy and mob the poor guys.
LOL! Tom, I tell people I'm as plain vanilla as you can get.
Alright, ladies. We now have a tentative date. As June was so busy for lots of folks, how does
JULY 14 THROUGH 16 sound?
Please post and let us know who can attend. Right now it's Cool Waters and me for sure, and maybe Belle and Shellon Fockler-North. Any others out there - sure hope so!
I'm going to try to get some bonus points together to use for a suite up there for our lodging. Should have a kitchen so we can do some simple breakfasts and lunches. Maybe eat dinner out one night.
awwright, WHO sent the singing stripper cop dude with the flashing red and blues on top of the squad car into my quiet little neighborhood last night right after the Assembly of God church down the block let out from their Monday night prayer meeting?
I live less than an hour away from Kansas City! What great luck! What can I do to help? July 14-16? That ought to give me plenty of time to select who gets to keep the princess that weekend. Yep, count me in!
Suda you are too terrific for taking things in hand, setting this tentative date, getting your bonus points together for lodging...and all that you're doing!!!!!! TYVM!!!!!!
I don't know how much anyone wants to spend for lodging...what you all want as amenities with the lodging (besides a kitchenette), and such. Let me know...so's I can do some 'local' snooping around. (My personal recommendation is probably far, far below you all's standards.)
If one does the 'touristy' stuff in KC, one will be taken to the cleaners for their cash, plastic, first-born child and grandchild, the mortgage on their home, the pink slips to their vehicles...well, you get the idea. Hehe.
Anyway, on Friday and Saturday nights from probably May forward me and hubs have a commitment from about 4pm-about 2am. (Hopefully. I will know more in a couple of weeks if this project is a go or not.) But that commitment is in the heart of historic Westport...and if you all can't find something to do in Westport, then you all aren't looking! :) And...that commitment will be a form of night life...so dropping in to see me every now and again would be simple...and expected! LOL
So you all let me know what you're thinking of doing for the weekend...and then I can better guide you to the best of the best in my wunnerful city! :D
As for cooking/dining...
There are sooooooooo many excellent but inexpensive dining opportunities in KC that it is often the case that buying groceries, preparing meals, cleaning up, etc. ends up being more expensive and time-consuming than it is worth. In Westport alone the dining opportunities range from street vendors to fine dining. And the Plaza? Good gawd amighty! The Plaza is nothing if it isn't a dining and drinking mecca! LOL Then at Union Station and Crown Center (right across the street from one another) there are absolutely terrific little cafes and shops. And delivery and 'happy hour' are like art forms in KC. LOL
So let me know.
And oh! There's bowtwi chiming in!!!! Between the two of us I don't think cooking will be necessary. And I am sure nobody will get bored! :)
Sure, I can easily cook something and bring it along. We do a lot of traveling and oftentimes I fix a meal or snacks here at home and bring it up to WI, so I have what it takes to travel with food. Of course, if sudo is so inspired as to entertain us with his stew, who are we to argue with perfection???
I'm flexible. I'll start looking around too for possible things to do that weekend.
Well...you can cook if you want...I'll be cooking some stuff myself...I was just thinking that for those coming in from out of town and staying in hotels/motels, a kitchenette probably wouldn't be a requirement...between what you and I would bring (and maybe what Sudo would send with Suda...hehehe) and the plethora of scrumptious dining opportunities here in KC. :D
I think I'd like to go out to Basehor or one of the other wineries in the area. Whaddya think? Also, City Market is a must do, IMO. Winslow's BBQ (right in City Market) is to live for, IMO, and Winslow's always has some really great local blues/jazz/rock bands performing live out on the patio.
I've been looking at things like Starlight Theater, KC/Swope Park Zoo, all the art galleries and museums, and such...this stuff is unbelievably expensive these days! And not real entertaining/exciting, either...IMO. Whassup with that????? Shoot! Even a carriage ride around the Plaza costs a king's ransom these days. Sheesh!
Well, with a couple of seasoned locals like me and you, the tourist rip-offs can just forget about ripping off any GGGW gals!!!! Hehehe.
Also, the date was picked to avoid any Royals' home games. But if anybody really wanted to go to a game (hint hint LOL), I'm sure lodging could be found this far in advance. KC Metro is quite a huge area...
Whatever you all are into, I'm sure me and bowtwi can figure out a way to get you all doing it. :D
Cool, the carriage girls will wheel and deal with you they make nothing if the horses are not moving. Never pay the ticket price. I've taken many a date for rides and never paid full price. Of course the limo is better cause it's a little hard to fit the bar on the horse. Then again Rascal may try to take the horses home they don't much like that. Dang this could be fun You will be in flying range. Ok men time for the sneak attack party. Don't forget Parkville........
I'm setting my SW "Ding!" to be watching for flights!!
I 'spect that we don't need to waste much time on touristy things..... Knowing us gals, once we get together all we'll really want to do is sit around and visit. That's what we did at the Weenie Roast and I wouldn't have traded a second of that time for sight-seeing.
You told that cop where we'd be, didn't ya, BOWTWI?? We don't want him going to the wrong address!

Let's see here --- I have 32 G-strings at my house.
3 of them on the fiddles;
2 of them on the mandolin;
4 of them on the banjos;
2 of them on the bouzouki;
2 of them on the guitars; and
19 of them on the piano.
None left for me -- so I guess I ain't invited.

Westport is also very near the Country Club Plaza, Union Station, Crown Center, Isle of Capri Casino and many, many other fantastic places to hang out, shop, dine, drink, and everything a bunch of wild and crazy girls could want. :D
And that's just a small area in the heart of KC.
So you all let me know what you're thinking of doing for the weekend...and then I can better guide you to the best of the best in my wunnerful city! :D
