  1. so everybody else wasn't, Galen?? you a mind-reader?? you all-knowing, like God?? what is the point of your smart crack, then??
  2. it wouldn't really be a thread without some Grade A obfuscation from waddahayseed...thanks for comin through, big fella... --> --> :(-->
  3. over-emphasis on "freeing ones-self" was the road down for twi...a shame it took so long to accept that, speaking for my own life and walk...
  4. I would correct that, om ---- God was the source, working through various people, NOT some organization. Mistakes such as that led to the debacle that twi very quickly became. Why do you suppose you suffered what you did when you were told to take a hike from the kork program?? certainly not because twi was the source of so much "blessing", that is for DAMN** sure...
  5. Mr. H -- I agree completely and just wanted to see your statement again, in toto, on the most recent page. This bears repeating, over and over and over and over... well, you catch my drift. HCW -- your last post was spot-on and is only, probably, the dozenth or so time Mike has been confronted with that material but he seems to have an orange colored vegetable in each ear...or sumpn'... :D--> -->
  6. and what the f*** if I do??????? do I lose my secret PFAL decoder ring?? how do you understand 1 Corinthians 13:9??? You know it all cuzza piffle?? puhh-leeze!! How in h did BG Leonard and JE Stiles learn all they did about receiving the gift of holy spirit without piffle??? why it boggles da mind.... --> --> :o--> --> --> :P-->
  7. I'm with excy I could give a rat's patootie about what "they" think...I'll criticize any damn thing I have a mind to... vpw sure as hell did, didn't he?????????
  8. laleo, interesting about vp's canceled visit. Would you mind saying what state you were in or am I asking too much?? just wondering?? by the by, I believe your church will(would??) be a screaming success -- I could definitely make the effort to show up... :D-->
  9. Belle .. I think you are thinking of someone else, this was Gerald Wre*n and his wife Sue, both 2nd kork and the year was 1977/78 at Emporia. Long, long time ago. never had careers before going into kork...too young at the time, fresh outa college for G. and not sure about S. alfakat ps now I know who you mean...J and P Wrenn or perhaps Wren, 7th kork couple, still with twit as of at least a year ago or so. P was a real sweetheart back when I knew her, but that goes back a ways. J was from San Francisco, former long-hair hippie fella, really genuine good guy. Have had no contact with either since before 85 and vp's death.
  10. more so'n GW and much more so than what he became as years rolled by...
  11. GW as kork coord. is another sto-owwree for another day. LCM was no longer the day-to-day campus guy anymore by then, lifted. he was the 6xxkkppthh kork's first year...
  12. hey, sky, when was that incident, approx.??? Did j split back to Colorado? or do you know?? thanks...
  13. psalmie -- we gave kity downers, from the vet, to our cats for the 8 hour drive from soCal to noCal 6 years ago...worked just fine. Ask your vet, if you see this before it's too late...
  14. Great today, Paw! last week or so, -- 'orrible!!
  15. sky.. vic was slick, he contradicted himself a lot. Read the profile of a sociopath page link. He would scream and shout, then come back with his charm and say aww, you're still not mad at me, are ya?? after he just chewed ya a new one. He kept people off balance and sold 'em on "THE CAUSE". All stuff way over lcm's head and abilities. Vic knew how to get people back to fawning, slavish adoration--not so for lcm...
  16. There were moments, Frankee, even during the insanity. My first year in rez, in 75/76, we had no elder korks atall! :D--> :P-->. we just had 3 5th kork guys(interim year) who had full-time staff jobs and also were the "area" coordinators(leadership) for the way tree structure in res. Plus, lcm was not yet the addle-brained, loogie-hockin big forehead he was to become... It was actually challenging without being a "rat-out-your brother" kind of thing like I know it became in later years. Of course, it was still to ultimately churn out good little class-runners and there was a fair amount of questionable, "inner-sanctum" krap going on too. But far superior to how regimented it was our final year, esp. under G Wre*n at emporia... :o--> -->
  17. Thank you, Tom. That is kind of where I am at right now. I know that I know -- that I know only in part but then...when we have all that He has now, then i will know in full. I am weary of the whole have to know everything in every detail approach...we CANNOT know it all, or even very much at all, at times, it seems. But I have come to Him and that is more than knowing the "ALL" of knowing it all....
  18. I would just add, Abi --- any other anti-vi program is superior to mikroKrap's ...sorry if some are offended but tis true... AVG makes a good, solid, FREE Anti-Virus.
  19. Jardi -- glad you are up and running and happy b-day, by the by... :D--> Since I began my quest to change careers in 99/00, I have tried *most*, but not all, security stuff out there. I have found, that for the most part, free stuff works better and generally has a smaller memory "footprint" and plays better with other children(software :D-->) I presently run, on Win2k, AdAwareSE, Spybot Search and Destroy, SpywareBlaster, AVG anti-virus, a-squared Malware scanner and Sygate's Personal Firewall. Zone Alarm, at least the free version, used to work well but has had problems making nice and I gave it up about a year ago or so. Norton and MacAfee have been problematic in a number of areas AND they always want MORE money...nuff said there. I also use Mozilla, Firefox and Opera browsers -- I never use IE for anything 'cept Windoze updates. I have used mozilla mail and thunderbird; both good AND FREE...I still use Eudora also and just like the feel of it, also has a free version... ;)--> Avoiding MikroKrap when possible is a qwik and eazzzyy way to avoid many, but not all, wares, be it spy, ad or mal. as always, YMMV. and all these work fine with XP, as well.
  20. touche, George. :D--> of course, Alfas, esp. the Spiders, were almost the perfect car for smarmy used car guys to palm off when they were poorly maintained...which most were, I guess... ...which is why I have only owned coupes and sedans?!! I guess...
  21. George so would that also apply to car salesmen????? ;)--> :D--> :P-->
  22. Mr. H -- well spoken. This is waddahayseed's MO here -- come in declaring, by fiat, his total understanding of ALL things and his reproof for ALL. I guess he thinks he is JC's little bother or sumpn'.... His gassy, wind-bag diatribes are perfect examples of why twit, piffle and vpw are yesterday's news, old and tired. waddahay-- where is your great ministry of deliverance??? with all your smarts, certainly you can do far more than vp...... ""Why should anyone give a rats a** what you have to say ... anyway – good or bad?"" eat your own words, klown...guess you cannot count high enough to know how many fingers you are pointing at yourself, eh??? ps after re-reading your little self-styled "Jeremiahd" you might want to tone down the volume a tad -- you sound a lot like those attempting to pick out motes without the benefit of self-cleaning first....YMMV
  23. I found some of the other info on the Armstrong father and son combo to be similar enough to warrant comparison. I am sure that the Worldwide Church of God has it's absolutely convinced supporters of HWA and GTA who can only babble on about the wonderful knowledge they received without considering the evil that was perped on other fellow-believers. Downright eerie, almost... check the letter at this link.. Does this sound familiar like twi 86-94???
  24. I realize, of course, that this topic and info have been brought up in the past but on another page WordWolf has a link to a site that has some great info on another(allos, I would say) cult of our times with remarkable similarities to good ole twi-t....YMMV Profile of a Sociopath A number of mind-manipulating cult leaders may exhibit many of the behavioral characteristics of a sociopath--an outstanding ability to charm and seduce followers. Since they appear apparently normal, they are not easily recognizable as deviant or disturbed. Although only a trained professional can make a diagnosis, it is important to be able to recognize the personality type in order to avoid further abuse. These traits also apply to a one-on-one cultic relationship. Glibness/Superficial Charm Language can be used without effort by them to confuse and convince their audience. Captivating storytellers that exude self-confidence, they can spin a web that intrigues others. Since they are persuasive, they have the capacity to destroy their critics verbally or emotionally. Manipulative and Conning They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They dominate and humiliate their victims. Grandiose Sense of Self Feels entitled to certain things as "their right." Craves adulation and attendance. Must be the center of attention with their own fantasies as the "spokesman for God," "enlightened," "leader of humankind," etc. Creates an us-versus-them mentality Pathological Lying Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and able to pass lie detector tests. Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way. Shallow Emotions When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion, it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises. ....for the rest of the story and other interesting info, see... sound familiar, hmmmmm???
  25. BINGO!! Def, my thoughts exactly...Secret Knowledge is NOT the key to the Kingdom, with Old Leader Grads "Leading" the way(?!?) Jesus IS the Way, not some amateurish, sophomoric re-writes of other men's inspired understanding concerning the Master. All the knowledge about Jesus in the whole world is no substitute for the real deal. Picking over nits will not increase your fellowship with him. Period. End of story. Take your piffle worship to someplace where someone cares, Mike........
