Hi Volchic! Welcome to the Spot! And, thank for sharing some of your story. I agree with you, that “working out” some of the confusing and cognitively dissonant experiences in your years with TWIt is important. The old adage, “If we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.”, aptly applies here. I think as time goes by, and you take your time here to gather info, make new acquaintances, and, most importantly, continue to dialogue with the other members here about your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and psychosocial interactions during your time in TWIt, in order to effectively sort through “the good, the bad, and the ugly” of your TWIt year, will be an important beginning in your full understanding of what TWIt was, and how it affected you. Doing so will relieve any anxiety, embarrassment, guilt, or shame, which may accompany your self-reflection and your journey of self-identity. At the very least, I think GSC will provide a great launching point for your objective inquiry into the whys and whats of your involvement with a destructive, fundamentalist “Christian” cult. The very first step is overcoming that twinge of discomfort that often hits when confronting the denial which usually comes with the realization that the words, “The Way” and “a religious cult” are synonymous. I’m sure you will find the compassionate support and understanding so freely offered here among those of us who have made and are making the same journey you are. I bid you Godspeed in your exciting, self-determined new journey!

When the late Mark Gluckin finally left TWIt, he had personally and singlehandey amassed the most complete collection of vpw tapes, transcripts, photographs, Way magazines, PFAL materials and syllabi and tapes of all the Advanced Classes and AC Specials run at New Knoxville from the first one. His son, Victor Paul Gluckin, is the Co-leader with Sean Finnegan, of Living Hope Minustries International, phony Beence Feenegan runs. However, victor’s late mom Barbara, lived in St. Mary’s, OH until she died. There were several people who wound up in TN (Nashville or Knoxville area) who compiled, catalogued, sorted, and printed as many of these as they could. I do not know who the individuals involved are, but, Barbara Gluckin was married to Mark Tompary until she died. Mark is the 7th corpse grad brother of Pam Tompary Craley, a 5th corpse grad, who was the official historian at TWIt after she graduated, and married to the Editor-in-Chief of the way mag at that time. It would not surprise me if there was some collaboration between the Tomparys, Gluckins, and wierwille worshippers in TN with computer publishing skills who put the thing together. I found it as a part of “rev” Jurry’s FB Page a couple of years ago. That’s all I know about “ Eternally Bleesed”, and that’s all I’ll ever need to know about them! LOL!

That was written by none other than the “Rev” Jurry Wrenn. It used to be the header on a page he put together with some wayfers in TN at the very beginning of his minustray. It included the same kind of awestruck “bios” of other dictor paul plagiarism victims like E.W. Bullinger, George Mueller, and even Grace Bliss. It tied into ”Rev” Jurry’s “speak to me father” FB page. It even included “grapevine letters” from Emporia in-Rez corpse days which Jurry wrote when he was in-Rez corpse cord at Emporia! LMAO! I don’t know if that page is still active, “rev” Jurry sure is. it was the reporting of the garbage on these pages here at the GSC that blew it all up and caused poor “rev” Jurry to wonder why all dem debbil spurts were persecuting his sorry arse! LOL!

There is a thread somewhere here, in which I document the events leading up to my being thrown off dictor paul’s motor coach on I-35, at a rest stop on the way to WIBAP 1982 in Kansas City. He demanded that I take the lead on “fighting those fucking Jews in KC who are gonna picket me at WIBAP!”. When I responded, “Dr. (sic!), what does that have to do with moving the word over the world”? That’s when the purple-faced, neck-vein-popping order was barked out to Kramden Geer, the bus driver, to “pull over and get rid of this sonofabitch!”. Thankfully, by serendipity, we were within 2 miles of a rest stop, from which I called Emporia and begged a ride from another wayfer heading toward WIBAP. What a shitshow!

There are numerous posts here in the archives somewhere which include quite a bit of history and eyewitnessconfirmation of wierwille’s pathologic Nazi Aryanism, abject racism, and agreement with the basic religious ideology of the Third Reich. There was of course, a warped spiritualistic theology which accompanied the Nazi “mystique”. Well documented and quite interesting, you can find many vetted documentaries on the religious and spiritualistic rationalizations made for Naziism. The bottom line culmination of the matter for me, is wrapped up in the oft repeated quote during my 2 years of in-Rez corpse indoctrination, which wierwille himself spoke often in the fake safety of “nite owls with da corpse”........: “ Hitler was right. He just went a little too far at the end. We fought on the wrong side in WW II. We’re still paying the price!”! What more does anyone need to know?

Maybe he’s totally FOS? Self-delusion, especially Messianic Complex types, is clinically obvious, but worse, the Elmer Gantry con-man spiel to cover-up gross hypocrisy is on rampant display. This guy is dangerous, especially to women. Be careful ladies!

Hi WW! It is possible that in the stress of the situation you were in, that you may have misunderstood medical information given to you quickly in an emergent situation. Broken ribs are very difficult to treat. #1 issue to be addressed is pain. #2 is incentive spirometry in order to PREVENT pneumonia, not TREAT it. Without adequate pain control, incentive spirometry is compromised. Problems? Broken ribs cannot be “casted” or mechanically repaired. The pain with inhalation, coughing, laughing, can be debilitating. Unfortunately, the number one side effect of the narcotic analgesics necessary to treat the pain is respiratory depression, i.e. shallow breathing with a low respiratory rate. So, the incentive spirometry, which is basically therapeutic exercise, is most important in preventing pneumonia, as is ambulation as soon as possible. As for question C, from your account of your care, it does not appear to me to have been incompetent. As to whether or not your parents “really didn’t care that you were getting bad care”, I really can’t speak to that in any clinically proper manner since I never met or knew them. Hope the helps clarify things a bit more for you. I do not mind your questions at all.

The Sidney House was dubbed “The Fine Arts and Historical Center”. The first “coordinators” of the place were Pam Craley (5th corpse), and Mark and Ann Carli (6th corpse), who lived on site. It was a beautiful mansion in Sidney with 3 floors, including a full formal ballroom on the third floor. There were kept Dotsie’s diaries all the way back to the Youth Chimes Caravan Hour and the infamous trip to India. There were a substantial amount of old documents of the early daze in TWIt that were housed there. The original incorporation papers of The Way Inc., minutes of the Board of Directors meetings of the early 60s before dictor paul disbanded it. Pictures and accounts of the building of the BRC, pictorial and written essays on the life of K.C. Pillai and George Lamsa, the early PFAL syllabi, intermediate and AC syllabi, “manuscripts” of Are The Dead Alive Now, JCING, RTHST, PFAL, The Dilemma Of Foreign Missions MS, and numerous other “historical” documents involving Dotsie’s and Dictor’s journey to cultism. It was a beautiful mansion built by wealthy local citizen patrons of Sidney. It was among the first properties to be sold off in dem Fawg Years.

Allan..... your response to the FACTS of this “case” seems a bit biased to me. But, I could be overly concerned with FACTS I KNOW, which you don’t, and also my personal knowledge of the recurrent incidents of severe physical abuse. If you wish to excuse past Un-Christlike behavior as something in the far distant past which, unrepented of, remains a CURRENT issue, that is your prerogative. I have no problems with testimonials. They’re everywhere for anything and everything! I DO have a problem with the smarmy charm and the slick rap of a “spiritual” grifter for self-dealing. That is NOT a testimonial. It is a con. And, in this case, a necessary cover-up of criminal, anti-Christ behavior over a long period of time. WW......pneumonia IS an infection of the lungs. It is inflammation and infection (viral or bacterial) of the pleural sac and membrane which surrounds the lungs. It doesn’t “cause an infection”, it IS one. It produces purulent drainage which invades and compromises the lung tissue. Sometimes this pus must be physically drained via thoracentesis. Respirators do not “prevent” pneumonia nor do they “treat it”. Respirators supply the mechanics of breathing in order to support life. Antibiotics, specialized respiratory therapy techniques, and thoracentesis or surgery may be necessary to treat pneumonia, not merely the life support equipment necessary to allow the treatments time to work. Hope that clarifies it for you a little more.

Hiway29! You are correct! The “Cultural Center” was in New Bremen, NOT Minster! Thanks for the accurate correction. I confused the Minster Theater, where we did the first weekly Joyful Noise/Way Prod shows in 1973-1974. It was the movie theater in Minster which we rented during the weekdays for rehearsals, and when we did the shows there. Lotsa fun in those early beginning Joyful Noise daze! Nothing was ever recorded there except bad audios of the shows from the mixing board. The refurbished old church which became the Cultural Center was in New Bremen. Thanks hiway29!!

Wrong, Thomas. Minster was where the “Cultural Center” was. It was an old church in Minster, OH which was refurbished, remodeled, and turned into a theater style facility. Way Productions never audio recorded any of their albums there during my entire time at HQ which ended in 1986. There were several High Country Caravan video productions recorded there, but it was completely replaced by that 800lb gorilla called the auditorium. Up until then, all way prod albums were recorded at various professional recording studios around OH. I know because I worked in them.

All good questions, WW. Thanks. Yes, the stomach contents DO actually infiltrate the lungs when clinical aspiration takes place. The obvious immediate threat is respiratory arrest, but the intubation quickly obviates that. The major concern for the patient post-aspiration is pneumonia and sepsis. Unfortunately common and definitely lethal. Aspiration means that the epiglottis, a thick, fibrous membrane flap separating the respiratory trachea from the upper GI tract into the stomach, has not functioned thereby allowing the gastric contents into the respiratory trachea and into the bronchi and then into the lungs themselves. Respiration is critically compromised. But NONE OF THAT causes the lungs or bronchi to “disintegrate”, which is not compatible with life. No intubation of any kind is possible if the bronchi and lungs are “disintegrated”, let alone, 15 days of intubated respiratory support without pneumonia or sepsis. As I said, the fake condition of “disintegrated lungs” is not compatible with human life. [Personal information deleted by moderators] The next time I heard about JJ was when MikePatten, 10th corpse, was briefly a STFI BOT member and had strong support from JJ at that time. There was the usual STFI “leadership” clusterfuck, and Schoenheit fired Patten along with his own sister and brother-in-law, and JJ ran with Patten and his offshoot for awhile. That’s the last I heard of him until his recent arrival a couple of years ago here at the GSC. Since his arrival, I have watched his posting patterns and self-promoting posts with mild disgust, but this recent round of horseshit was just too much to allow him to remain “incognito”. Hi WW! i am not “yelling” at anyone. I know Jack’s history in TWIt. As I closed my previous post, I have NO respect for him, nor anything he says. He’s a self-promoter and self-aggrandizer. He’s a “player” in the alt-right “Christian nut-job” category. So, I will ignore any references to, or comments from him. Regarding the purported “disintegration of the lungs” reported by Carol as “the cause of death”, NOT ANY attending physician. To help you get past the completely incoherent, inaccurate and garbled “medical speak”, allow me to properly interpret the complete BS Carol and Jackemeyer promulgate. Obviously, Glaube experienced a major cardiac event which nearly ended his life and required a 2 week CCU stay with intubation and complete life support. Obviously Glaube’s wishes included “Full Resuscitation and life support”, and most certainly he was not a DNR. The patient received full resuscitory care and was intubated prior to his OR procedures. Because of his respiratory failure, he aspirated his stomach contents, which required immediate intubation. As the Anesthesioligist intubates a person who has aspirated, most use a tracheal endoscope to guide them into the lungs and avoid the stomach and GI tract because sepsis is the major concern. From the layman’s description offered by Carol and promoted as a “miracle” by JJ Gantry, as the Anesthesiologist was performing the intubation, he noted for the record, the stomach contents had been aspirated into the cardiopulmonary system. The “disintegrated grey matter” is completely made up! Aspiration does NOT disintegrate the lungs, bronchioles, or bronchi. That is COMPLETELY FALSE. No such thing occurred. If the lungs “disintegrated” intubation would be meaningless, as there would be NOTHING TO INTUBATE! Hence, no respiratory gas exchange could occur and the patient would immediately expire. I suppose it is this phony set-up and red herring of the “disintegrated” lungs, upon which Carol and Gantry hang their “proof” of a Jesus miracle. What it is in reality, is a miracle that anyone with a functional brain would NOT pay any attention to, as this is nothing more than an oral urban legend. Hope that helps WW!

Well done Raf, WW, and Rocky! It is glaringly obvious who is preaching “truthful hyperbole” and who is relying upon reportable FACTS. I have a fun time viewing this miracle “stohree” from both a Nursing/Medical perspective, and the perspective of a “believer”. The dichotomy is also glaringly obvious. First of all, clinically, the patient was never pronounced dead by the responsible physician present at ANY of the occasions Çarol reported him as having “died five times”. Secondly, NO RN reports the death and cause of any patient to next of kin without the direction of the responsible physician. HIPPA violation!! Also, I have participated in numerous OR situations both as a Scrub RN and Circulator RN. As RNs we NEVER talk to family in terms of potential survival percentages of their loved ones. That is strictly the job of the physician. We explain the procedures and the process of performing them. Then we do them. EVERYTHING is documented, recorded, double/triple checked, counted, and methodically disposed of and, again legally documented. The ”3 percent chance” line about the aspiration was total BS. As was the entire fantasy about the “lungs disintegrating”! Ridiculous nonsensical and grossly false. Simply “made up”, so much so, that it cannot even be “taken by faith”. LOL! This makes the reporter and the claimant look completely foolish and childlike in their understanding of life. No wonder not one MD, RN, or hospital professional is ever interviewed or quoted! Not one that I know would participate in such immature foolishness. As a “believer”, I was most disgusted by the following statement: This was a quote of JJ's closing sentence, which sterlingly witnesses his incredible love for his Lord Jesus, who raises people from the dead. What it actually witnesses is the old Midwest Wierwille conman “charm” the core of which preaches, “the ends justify the means”, NOT THE TRUTH OR FACTS!
