  1. We're getting off-topic here, but since you asked... The first post mentioned "Church of Christ" and the 2nd replied with "CoC." It's another independent religious group that reads the Bible and meets in homes sometimes. It apparently had a splinter group, "NYC Church of Christ" that resembled young twi a LOT more, with pushy evangelicals and high turnover and lots of arrogance. (I would have been a lot more forgiving of the arrogance if they were really as hot as they thought they were, but it really was a lot of hot air and Sociology.) So, in NYC, there were at least 2 groups using "Church of Christ" as their name, one with "NYC" in front, and one not. The initial poster and I had run-ins with the "NYC" branch, and Raf probably never realized there were 2 similar groups with almost identical names.

  4. So, Sue's familiar with the course of action?
  5. Actually, they did NOT make a beeline for the NYCoC. They made a beeline for the CoC, the NY section. The NYCoC was a completely different organization from the CoC. The NYCoC was those people I brought you to a Sunday morning meeting-more for amusement than attendance. (I wore a PFAL t-shirt and we sat near a stranger who fell seriously asleep, if that triggers a memory.)
  6. IIRC, this is "I Want To Know What Love Is." and it's by FOREIGNER.
  7. You were correct- Men at Work did "Overkill" and "Who Can It Be Now". As for yours, I'm trying to remember the artist.
  8. In God We Tru$t Richard Pryor The Muppet Movie
  9. Ok, changing song, but keeping the same artist..... "Is it the men come to take me away? Why do they follow me? It's not the future that I can see- It's just my fantasy."

  11. BTW, I actually wrote a lengthy breakdown on the Commissioner Gordons, but my GUI ate it when I had to reboot it. In short, Lyle Talbot played him in the old 1940 Batman serial, Pat HIngle played him in the 80s/90s alongside Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney, and the others were lots of voice actors, mostly in chronological order from oldest work (Ted Knight) to newest. J.K. Simmons has already been cast for the upcoming Justice League theatrical film.

  13. Looks familiar to me too, but nothing's clicking yet. I keep coming back and hoping it will come to me.

  16. If anyone's got one, they can take this turn as a FREE POST.
  17. "I can't get to sleep I think about the implications Of diving in too deep And possibly the complications Especially at night I worry over situations I know will be alright Perhaps it's just imagination." "Alone between the sheets Only brings exasperation. It's time to walk the streets Smell the desperation. "At least there's pretty lights And though there's little variation It nullifies the night"
  18. If you attended ROA 89, I'd love to chat about that. That was an experience-and-a-half. If you're ok with it, either a separate thread (if you're ok with discussing it publickly) or a private message would work (if you prefer more privacy.) AFAIK, almost nobody at the GSC was there for that-me and Raf and that's about it.
  19. You should probably post the next one whenever you're ready.
