Poor Way Productions... they need some help.

Maybe we can write a song for them - something that won't make The Soup (formerly known as Talk Soup).

It can't be that hard right...

I bet we just need to start with a bunch of cliches....

Two by two

Each one reach one

Speak the truth in love

All nine all the time

Renew your mind

(etc., etc., etc.)

and then... the next poster can start a line of lyrics and then the third poster can add the next line, etc.

This could be great.

And what a great cause!

Okay.... next!

Chas, where is Brian Bliss, Ted Ferrell, Dean Ellenwood, Paul Vergilio? They used to write half way decent lyrics. Maybe they could use John Tesh for help. Or are you just kidding, pulling the wool over our eyes? Maybe Hillsongs could help. :biglaugh: .

yeah right.

I will agree that Good Seed did some good stuff, and I used to go and listen to them at the Patio here in Indy. I put one of the albums that was produced by TWI on once and I thought it was not all that good. There was only one song that came out of TWI that I thought was pretty decent - Star of the Show.

Ok, heres my humble contribution ........

Sang to the melody of "Clementine"

In an Cornfield. In Ohio

We're still standing on the Word

Live is great here. Fruit abounding

Don't believe the things you've heard

Chorus

Serve with Gladness

Serve with Gladness

Serve with Gladness everyday

Holy Household live forever

In the land we call the Way

-----------------------------------------------

Ok now. Certainly y'all can add some more verses.

To the tune of Safety Dance.

S-S-S-S-I-I-I-I-T-T-T-T

We can SIT if we want to

We can leave your friends behind

'cause your friends don't SIT and if they don't SIT

Well, they're no friends of mine.

I say, we can go where we want to

A place where they will never find

And we can act like we come from out of this world

Leave the real one far behind

And we can SIT

They should have a new President's theme song. Something more "fitting.."

She'll be coming around the cornfield when she comes...

She'll be coming around the cornfield when she comes..

She'll be coming around the cornfield, she'll be coming around the cornfield-

She'll be coming around the cornfield when she comes.

She'll be wearing curlers and pink pajamas when she comes.. (eeeewww..)

She'll be wearing curlers and pink pajamas when she comes... (eeeewww..)

Here's one for promoting the class – to the tune of the Ramones' song

I Wanna Be Sedated

Thirty-Thirty-Thirty- six hours to go I wanna be sedated

Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh I wanna be sedated

Just get me to the class and put me in the fast lane

Hurry hurry hurry before I go sane

Just take control of my life since I turned off my brain

Oh no no no no no

Thirty-Thirty-Thirty- six hours to go....

I'd thought I'd add my song lyrics I've done over the years as a jump start for Way Production numbers.

"Still Way Brained After All These Years"

(In the style of Paul Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years.)

I met my old Twig coordinator on the street last night.

He seemed to glad to see me, I just smiled.

And we talked about some old times and we drank our selves some beer.

Still Way-brained after all these years.

Oh, still way-brained after all these years.

I'm not the kind of man who tends to spiritualize.

I seem to lean on old biblical ways.

And I ain't no fool for church groups that poison my peers.

Still Way-brained after all these years.

Oh, Still Way-brained after all these years.

Four in the morning, kept up praying.

Speak in tongues my life a--way.

I'll never worry why should I?

He's coming back one day.

Now I set up my living room and I string the chairs.

I need to make some coffee for the twig.

But it better not be bitter, or my crown of life disappears.

Still Way-brained after all these years.

oh, Still Waybrained....

still way brained....

Still Way-brained after all these years.

I have more somewhere,

Seth

Sang to the melody of "Clementine"

Verse 1

In an Cornfield. In Ohio

We're still standing on the Word

Live is great here. Fruit abounding

Don't believe the things you've heard

Chorus:

Serve with Gladness

Serve with Gladness

Serve with Gladness everyday

Holy Household live forever

In the land we call the Way

Verse 2

Doctor Wierwille. Was our hero

Man of God. He taught us well

Glassy-eyed. We blindly followed

Holy Lock Box. Never tell.

Chorus:

-----------------------------------------------

Ok now. Certainly y'all can add some more verses.

Here's another one about the value of the class - to the tune of Lucy in the Skies with Diamonds

Picture yourself up a creek and for a paddle

A PFAL book riddled with marmalade lies

Somebody calls you she's taking attendance

A girl with those Green Card eyes

Cellophane wrapper – on books blue and green

Crinkly sounds of brain cells gone dead

Look for the dude who took your money for the class

But he's gone

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Ah… Ah…

Follow them later to a Twig at a home

Where "abundance" is said in such desperate sighs

Everyone smiles as you pitch money in wicker horns

HQ's coffers grow incredibly high

Sponsorship flunkies appear at your door

Whisking your dollars away

Promise you more secrets from the first century

Then they're gone

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Nonsense in disguise as diamonds,

Ah… Ah…

[note: if you play this tune backwards you can hear I buried PFAL]
