A stealth 5-movie title (don't expect a long title.)

In this 1986 (2011/1975/2005/2015) movie,

an agoraphobic is released from prison (solitary, obviously) for killing a man who tried to kill his best friend.

Being released to the world brings personal and financial problems-including how his best friend tries

to get him into entirely new troubles. He falls in with a plan to accompany some World War II GI's in search

of hidden ex-Nazi loot in East Germany- just in time to escape his sleepy hometown being disarrayed by a

mysterious doctor who does strange things.

Critics are split as to whether the movie's mechanic of personifying the protagonist's emotions with animations

just complicates the story, or is a daring artistic move on behalf of the director and writer.

Stars include:

Elliott Gould, Howard Hesseman, Jennifer Tilly, Meshach Taylor,

Parker Posey, Bruce Dern, Paul Levesque, Michael Rapaport,

Telly Savalas, Robert Culp, James Mason,

Eriq LaSalle, Steven Weber, Russell Wong, Nia Peeples,

Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and Mindy Kaling.

The 1986 movie.

(Agoraphobic goes into the world and deals with problems/life.)

The 2011 movie.

(Released from prison, killed man who was after his best friend, that friend tries to get him into schemes.)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073174/?ref_=fn_al_tt_5

The 1975 movie.

(WW II vets after Nazi gold in East Germany.)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386534/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4

The 2005 movie.

(Mysterious doctor arrives in a little town and does odd things, discombobulating the town.)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2096673/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

The 2015 movie.

(Disney Pixar animated movie with emotions represented as characters in each person's head.)

The partial casts are listed above, in the same order I just gave.

I had actually found a SIXTH, but it was a LOT more obscure than the others.

The whole thing was an accident. I was looking for movies to link with the animated one,

and found a bunch of movies titled identically. My sanity had stepped outside for some

fresh air, so I gave it a shot.

A bounty hunting scam joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a less-than-attractive woman who finds herself surrounded by glamorous models while trying to make her mark at a fashion magazine.

The only bounty hunting scams I've heard of that two men were able to make an uneasy alliance were Charles Grodin and Robert DeNiro in Midnight Run and......well I don't know any others. Is Barbars Streisand in any part of the other clue WordWolf?

If you don't play soon on the tune thread I will be forced to.

This is not a "stealth" round.

(It is, however, a 4-parter.)

In this movie,

an athlete who dies prematurely returns immediately as a peasant squire who steps up as his teacher

dies unexpectedly. He protects a recently-blinded woman from criminals who think she owns something

they want. Later, he must decide if he wants to continue by protecting his city from a violent madman

sowing chaos in the streets.

(No, the titles are not "in order" of the description.)

Looked through all the imdb descriptions and I'm crying foul.

The "squire" bit is from A Knight's Tale, making the correct answer:

Heaven Can Wait Until Dark Knight's Tale.

Ok, that explains why I started by saying it was a 3-parter.

For some reason, I read too fast when I went back to look for the casts,

and figured I MEANT to add a 4th but didn't.

Yeah, that last one was correct from the original description.

I should have included cast for "A Knight's Tale" at the end,

Alan Tudyk and so on since Ledger was mentioned already.

(Played the hero in this one and villain in "Dark Knight." :) )

As far as I'm concerned, either of you can take it for the round.
