So Kathy, you are a "carnivore" I see...

Well, I always love a good steak myself...

And so yeah, Kianu Reeves is kinda quirky to me. Kinda like Johnny Depp is as well. But I have seen them both act very well in certain movies. But in other movies I could not stand them.

Another "chick type flick" that I liked was "Don Juan De Marco" starring....Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando. To me this was a deep and moving story with an excellent sound track. Have you ever heard the song from this movie called;

"Have Ever Loved A Woman?" by Bryan Adams?

What a love3.gif song.

But I think Jonny Depp is way weird...

CK,

No, I can't place the lines. Maybe a hint?

BTW, it was "Speedy" Alka-seltzer who spoke those immortal words "Be careful what you eat".

He was such a worry wart...

Sharon,

Good call on the "Old Gold" slogan. I thought I was the only one left on earth who knew that...

Sorry Bluzman, different song altogether. I mis-represented it by leaving out a word. "You see, if you leave out even one word it changes the whole thing and you don't have the Word of God anymore!!"

Oh wait, sorry 'bout that Bluzman, I got carried away..

But anyway, I left out the word "really", and it is a different song than the one by Clapton. I am sure I would like that song as well. Anyway, here is that other song I was talking about...

Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?

( Bryan Adams )

To really love a woman,

To understand her,

You've got to know her deep inside ...

Hear every thought,

See every dream,

And give her wings when she wants to fly.

Then when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms ...

You know you really love a woman

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's really wanted.

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's the one.

She needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever.

So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

To really love a woman,

Let her hold you,

Till you know how she needs to be touched.

You've got to breathe her, really taste her,

Till you can feel her in your blood.

And when you see your unborn children in her eyes ...

You know you really love a woman.

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's really wanted.

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's the one.

She needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever.

So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

You've got to give her some faith,

Hold her tight, a little tenderness.

You've got to treat her right.

She will be there for you taking good care of you ...

You really gotta love your woman.

And when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms,

You know you really love a woman.

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's really wanted.

When you love a woman,

You tell her that she's the one.

She needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever.

So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

This alone is wonderful!

geo.

In a scene that would certainly be more chick than guy thing the powerful presence of this man said to a woman while sleeping...

"You must make your own life amongst the living and, whether you meet fair winds or foul, find your own way to harbor in the end."

Shortly thereafter he vanished.

It was a strong male lead IMHO for that time.

your welcome for breakfast, my 7 year old enjoyed it as well..

the movie is The Pawnbroker, which is what I am

and talk about tons~

Tom Green really brought a bull into our store in NJ, for a gag.

The Pawnbroker, was the first movie to focus on the Holocaust and what happened to the survivors of the camps, if you haven't seen it, I recommend it, not a feel good flick, but one that will make you feel.

I will. Goodness I'm getting a nice list going. Looks like a movie every weekend for awhile, now what a terrible thing to have to endure.

You rest well girl! icon_smile.gif:)-->

Sharon,

I saw The Pawnbroker. Very good movie. Rod Steiger was the consumate character actor even if he DID appear in some really bad films. Did you see his performance in The Chosen? Gawd.. I didn't know it was him until the credits rolled! I was thinking that they had cast an actual orthodox Jew to play his role! I was truely impressed.

I see from your posts that today is וֹם הַשּׁוֹאָה.... Yom Hashoah. I have a tune from a film you might be familiar with then as it concerns Nazis and WWII. This is a beautiful song is it not?? It might sink in what its about when you get to the words "fatherland". Good movie, too. Click HERE! And since the subject is Jews... here's one that rocks. Sorry.. didn't convert it for all you with dial-up because it just ROCKS in the original MP3!! Click HERE! I'm so glad I went and got myself some really good speakers for the computer!

If you mean, you were never in twi and want to join GS, heck no, you don't have to have been a member to sign up on GS. Now, if you mean just this thread, well hell, they let me join, that means they will take anyone! icon_biggrin.gif:D-->
