Which is why we need Ted to help us with the rest of the words...somebody gots to have a copy on an old tape somewhere! Please? It's bugged me for years to not remember all the words.

Good news and bad news. First the good news. Ted does have the tape & words. Now the bad news. He's in the middle of packing his house to move and has already packed all the tapes.

Okay..it is the next month. What you got now?

I make music with little people. Red Grammar is one of my favorite children's artists. Puts on a fabulous concert getting all the adults moving too. Even has folks come on stage and sing with him. Though this song is not a birthday song, I sing it as such.

Couldn't easily find the lyrics....so excuse any typos. :)

THE ABC's OF YOU

If I wrote down all my feelings for you

I'd probably fill up an ocean or two

So in the end I decided to

List the ABC's of You.

I think you're...

A-1, Grade A, beloved and beautiful

Capable, caring, delightful, dependable,

Enjoyable, excellent, fascinating, fabulous,

A gift, a gem, genuinely generous,

Honest, highgrade, impressive and interesting,

A jewel, a jackpot, kindhearted, and a king,

Laudable, likeable, marvelous, magnificent,

Naturally nice....

One of a kind, pleasing, priceless,

Queenlike in quality, rare in radiance,

Scintillating, splendid, superb, sensational,

Trustworthy, talented, tender and tasteful,

Unique, unprecendented, very, very valuable,

Worthy, welcome, Xtraordinary, Xceptional,

Yes! Yes! Yes! You! You! You!

You're one in a zillion!!!!!!!!

Gee Ted has enough to do .....

Ok hear it is from the tape Electrified - Brian Bliss

The Captain of Salvation

Like a ship so far from home

Drifting aimlessly alone

Storm tossed by the troubles of this world

Driven by the torrent and the mutiny of sin

There I alone, alone a sinking man.

Then the captain of salvation

Like a lighthouse in the night

Guided me into the harbor of God's love

He gave me shelter from the tempest

He's the prince of peaceful sea's

Anchored in the harbor of God's love

With a cargo of deliverance

And the compass of God's Word

Setting sail in search for others lost at sea

Some will sink! but some will swim and we'll rescue them for him

To the safety of the rock in the harbor of God's love

Then the captain of salvation

Like a lighthouse in the night

Guided them into the harbor of God's love

He gave them shelter from the tempest

He's the prince of peaceful sea's

Anchored in the harbor of God's love

Yes the captain of salvation

Like a lighthouse in the night

Will Guide you to the harbor of God's love

He'll give you shelter from the tempest

He's the prince of peaceful sea's

Full sail upon the ocean of God's love

Full sail upon the ocean of God's love.......

My theme song for life is: Bono's song on The Joshua Tree

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

I have climbed the highest mountains

I have run through the fields

Only to be with you

Only to be with you

I have run I have crawled

I have scaled these city walls

Only to be with you

But I still Haven't found

What I'm looking for

I have kissed honey lips

Felt the healing in her (his) fingertips

It burned like fire

This burning desire

I have spoke with the tongues of angels

I have held the hand of the devil

It was warm in the night

I was cold as a stone

But I still haven't found

What I am looking for

But I still haven't found

What I am looking for

I believe in the Kingdom Come

Then all the colours will bleed into one

But yes I'm still running

You broke the bonds

You loosed the chains

You carried the cross

And my shame

And my shame

You know I believe it

But I still haven't found

What I am looking for

But I still haven't found

What I am looking for

This song came out right when I was leaving the way. Descirbed my life perfectly.......and still does.

I'm torn between Brandy by Looking Glass, Circle by Edie Brickell and this one below - I think I'll go with it -

What I Am

by Edie Brickell

I'm not aware of too many things

I know what I know if you know what I mean

Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box

Religion is a smile on a dog

I'm not aware of too many things

I know what I know if you know what I mean

Choke me in the shallow water

Before I get too deep

What I am is what I am are you what you are

or what?

I'm not aware of too many things

I know what I know if you know what I mean

Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks

Religion is a light in the fog

I'm not aware of too many things

I know what I know if you know what I mean

Do do ya

I'm not aware of too many things

I know what I know if you know what I mean

Choke me in the shallow water

Before I get too deep

Choke me in the shallow water

Before I get too deep

Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep

Don't let me get too deep

What I am is what I am are you what you are

or what?

Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep

Don't let me get too deep

Moon River

music by Henry Mancini, lyrics by Johnny Mercer

Moon River, wider than a mile,

I'm crossing you in style some day.

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,

wherever you're going I'm going your way.

Two drifters off to see the world.

There's such a lot of world to see.

We're after the same rainbow's end--

waiting 'round the bend,

my huckleberry friend,

Moon River and me.

The Lumberjack song by Monte Python!...Just kidding, I am just kidding! Jeez!

There is this old (I mean old, well maybe not that old) song by a bluegrass group, The Dillards.

"Carry Me Off" would have to be the song.

It's off an album titled "Tribute To The American Duck"

Anyway, it has great harmony/melody/etc, etc! Check it out if you can!

Still in my heart and very encouraging... :biglaugh:

Faith Hill

Wild One

They said change your clothes

She said no I won't

They said comb your hair

She said some kids don't

And her parents dreams went up in smoke

They said you can't leave

She said yes I will

They said don't see him

She said his name is Bill

She's on a roll and it's all uphill

She's a wild one

With an angel's face

She's a woman-child

In a state of grace

When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee

He said you can be anything you want to be

She's a wild one

Runnin' free

She loves Rock and Roll

They said it's Satan's tongue

She thinks they're too old

They think she's too young

And the battle lines are clearly drawn

She's a wild one

With an angel's face

She's a woman-child

In a state of grace

When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee

He said you can be anything you want to be

She's a wild one

Runnin' free

She has future plans and dreams at night

When they tell her life is hard she says that's alright

She's a wild one

With an angel's face

She's a woman-child

In a state of grace

When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee

He said you can be anything you want to be

She's a wild one

Runnin' free

Soon after moving to Memphis, I was having one of those Murphy weeks - everything just going horribly wrong. I was being bombarded from every side by one bombshell after another, and the light that I saw at the end of the tunnel was another train rushing head-on towards me. I felt so all alone as I had no close friends nearby to turn to who could give me refuge from this storm of life.

And this song came on the radio, and just eradicated all the fear, because it was like God reminding me He was with me, always, and I could lean on Him. And He wanted me to do so because He loved and needed me, in the way that all parents need their children to make their lives complete. Everyday of my life I am comforted with this knowledge. It doubles the joy and halves the sorrow of life each and every day.

You Needed Me (Anne Murray)

I cried a tear

You wiped it dry

I was confused

You cleared my mind

I sold my soul

You bought it back for me

And held me up and gave me dignity

Somehow you needed me.

Chorus

You gave me strength

To stand alone again

To face the world Out on my own again

You put me high upon a pedestal

So high that I could almost see eternity

You needed me

You needed me

And I can't believe it's you I can't believe it's true

I needed you and you were there

And I'll never leave, why should I leave

I'd be a fool

'Cause I've finally found someone who really cares

You held my hand

When it was cold

When I was lost

You took me home

You gave me hope

When I was at the end

And turned my lies

Back into truth again

You even called me friend

Repeat Chorus

You needed me

You needed me

That Ann Murray song got me through a few bad days too, Suda.

So did this one.

I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

At first I was afraid I was petrified

Kept thinkin' I could never live without you by my side;

But then I spent so many nights

Thinkin' how you did me wrong

And I grew strong

I learned how to get along.

And so you're back from outer space

I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face

I should have changed that stupid lock

I should have made you leave your key

If I'd've known for just one second you'd back to bother me

Go on now go, walk out the door

Just turn around now

('cause) you're not welcome anymore

Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye

Did you think I'd crumble

Did you think I'd lay down and die?

Oh no, not.I. I will survive

Oh as long as I know how to love I know I'll stay alive;

I've got all my life to live,

I've got all my love to give and I'll survive,

I will survive. Hey hey.

It took all the strength I had not to fall apart

Kept trying' hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart,

And I spent oh so many nights

Just feeling sorry for myself. I used to cry

But now I hold my head up high

And you see me somebody new

I'm not that chained up little person still in love with you,

And so you feel like droppin' in

And just expect me to be free,

Now I'm savin' all my lovin' for someone who's lovin' me

I'm free again!

This dates me and I must make the statment that I nolonger drink. But thats not the point.

Rednecks,White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer

The barmaid is mad cause some guy made a pass

The jukebox is playin' there stands the a glass

The cigarette smoke kinda hangs in the air

Rednecks, white socks and Blue Ribbon Beer

A cowboy is cussin' a pinball machine

The drunk at the bar is gittin Orn'ry and mean

Some guy on the phone says, "I'll be home soon dear"

Rednecks, white socks and Blue Ribbon beer

No we don't fit in with that white collar crowd

We're a little too rowdy and a little too load

But there's no place that I'd rather be than right here

With our rednecks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer

The semi's are passing on the highway outside

The 4:30 crowd is about to arrive

The suns goin down and we'll all soon be here

With our rednecks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer

No we don't fit in with that white collar crowd

We're a little to rowdy and a little too load

But there's no place that I'd rather be than right here

With our rednecks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer

With our rednecks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer.

This is the 60's version of the redneck song.

I left the white collar world with my corporate credit card, lease car, and expense account. To move to a small town and open my own bussiness. Hell yes I'm a redneck

My 15-year old son recently turned me onto this song. It is beautiful..if you ever get to hear it. Paints a picture of simple days. Reminds me of play, of lazy days, of childhood, of growing up, of broken dreams, of dreams fulfilled.....I hope I never loose childhood.

Swing Life Away Lyrics

by Rise Against

am i loud and clear or am i breaking up?

am i still your charm or am i just bad luck?

are we getting closer or are we just getting more lost?

ill show you mine if you show me yours first

lets compare scars ill tell you whose is worse

lets unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

we live on front porches and swing life away

we get by just fine here on minimum wage

if love is a labor i'll slave 'til the end

i wont cross these streets until you hold my hand

i been here so long i think that its time to move

the winters so cold summers over too soon

lets pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow

and ive got some friends some that i hardly know

weve had some times i wouldn't trade for the world

we chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go

we live on front porches and swing life away

we get by just fine here on minimum wage

if love is a labor i'll slave 'til the end

i wont cross these streets until you hold my hand

swing life away [4x]

I have this inner urge to be the Redneck Woman like BikerBabe but haven't been able to bring that image accross. Many times I think Had a Bad day by Daniel Powter. But my all time theme song would have to be Drive by Incubus.

Sometimes I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear

And I cant help but ask myself how much I'll let the fear take the wheel and steer

It's driven me before, it seems to have a vague

Haunting mass appeal

Lately I'm beginning to find that I should be the one behind the wheel

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there

With open arms and open eyes yeah

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

So if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive

Will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive, oh oh

It's driven me before, it seems to be the way

That everyone else get around

Lately, I'm beginning to find that when I drive myself, my light is found

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there

With open arms and open eyes yeah

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

Would you choose water over wine

Hold the wheel and drive

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there

With open arms and open eyes yeah

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

How I wish I could surrender my soul;

Shed the clothes that become my skin;

See the liar that burns within my needing.

How I wish I'd chosen darkness from cold.

How I wish I had screamed out loud,

Instead I've found no meaning.

I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,

All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.

Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.

I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.

It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

How I wish I could walk through the doors of my mind;

Hold memory close at hand,

Help me understand the years.

How I wish I could choose between Heaven and Hell.

How I wish I would save my soul.

I'm so cold from fear.

I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,

All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.

Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.

I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.

Far, far away; find comfort in pain.

All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.

It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

Tears and Rain
