In the example of one (the "muck and mire" one), he pointed out the interpretation was MUCH longer, and supposedly pointed out where the speaker had interpolated his own thinking into the translation. In another example, he counted out on his fingers, pointing out the interpretation had the same number of natural breaking points and the same overall time as the "tongue."
