  1. Wow!! WW, excellent job in breaking this down, and explaining it. If I may, I would like to add my two cents; forgive me for sounding petty. To this day, it ticks me off that a football player who never went WOW got a WOW pin. I had a very tough time on the WOW field, and went thru hell to finish the year. Yet this man who never went WOW, received a special ceremony where he got a pin he did not deserve. When I first read about this in a Way Mag, I was ticked. TWI made a big deal about giving him this pin, simply because he made big, big bucks playing football. I noticed that when Tony Collins failed his drug tests, TWI never said a thing about it. In TWI, some people were given special treatment if they had money and fame. If you were a peon like me, you got nothing. Forgive me again for being petty, but this behavior really ticked me off.

  2. The Way International is in the final stages of transitioning to "The Victor Paul Wierwille Memorial Museum." With each passing year, the mission statement of twi comes more clearly into focus: to preserve and promote the life, the quest and the legacy of Dr. Wierwille for all generations. Those who visit will find an exciting adventure in learning as they take the shuttle west on Wierwille Road as the old Wierwille Homestead comes into view. Many of us, especially corps, are already familiar with this tour. We've heard about the wierwille barn and the "upper room" loft where summer students slept. On Tuesday night, many of us attended "Aunt Sevilla's Twig" in New Knoxville and listened to her childhood memories and helping young victor. And, many have heard about the strip-bark used to erect the "House of His Healing Presence" and the serene and holy peace in the Way Woods. You see......this tour, and legacy of wierwille, has been in the making for decades. As more way corps realize the cloak of idolatry wrapped around twi's shoulders.....the quicker this memorial museum will become evident. After all, aren't the sunday service teachings merely a formality rather than genuine inspiration of heralded scripture? Visitors come to walk in the Victor Paul Wierwille Prevailing Word Auditorium and embrace the legacy once more. The ushers smile, the bookstore sales personnel are ready to assist, the Wierwille statute is on prominent display.....and wierwille is immortalized. Mrs. Wierwille's book, Born Again to Serve, was designed as a coffee-table book. Yes, have this large book displayed in the open for all who visit your home. Twi wants you to help sell the legacy. Surely, you have it on your coffee table, don't you? You see, tithes and offerings sent to twi's hq are NOT going to further the outreach of God's Word, nor help the community, nor feed the poor, nor bring others to Christ. Nope. Twi is solely designed to showcase the life and legacy of its founder. Long gone are the days when twi spouted, "The life of the ministry is in the twig." Those snappy little one-liners and outreach programs have long faded into the sunset of the preservation society. The last man standing, the only man standing in twi......is the man who so deeply loved "his kids." While hundreds and hundreds of corps and clergy deserted him....in the end, Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille ran his course in life, faithful to the end. And, now folks...on this tour, you are entering the Founders' Room of the auditorium where, we have displayed, notable men who were instrumental in (blah, blah, blah)...... <_< .

  3. Of course, many of us know the answer to that question already. I saw a post this evening on Facebook that inspired me to think about the question. Were you ever subject to Wierwille's angry rants? Or Martindale's? If you're curious, here's an interesting resource that provides a list of 10 questions to reflect back on your relationships with those "Mogs." For our younger greasespotters, perhaps you might have some insight on whether the organization (TWI) currently demonstrates a narcissistic personality. A couple of days ago, I found that the Power for Abundant Living book is for sale (from third-party vendors) on amazon.com. I found some of the reviews and comments on those reviews quite revealing. This is what I saw on Facebook that reminded me of Wierwille. Narcissists hurt people, they carry shame, low self-esteem, endured neglect, or deprivation, as a child, they create a container to keep the shame in, and repress it, they aren't aware how damaged they are, when held accountable, they deny and blame, subconsciously they feel unworthy, they can't bear to think there is something wrong with them, so they project, make it your fault, so they won't feel, the pain of their own self-judgement... - Marg - inspired by Ross Rosenberg

  4. IMO this is a perfect example of why JY gets the top position over R@pp. He will follow unethical, non-biblical orders and courses of action without question. R@ppenstein maybe was a couple steps behind lock-step. In other words, foxy loxy chose her successor just like VP did - like was shared in "VP and Me" - he was the one that whenever he was told to jump didn't ask "how high?" This is why TWI is a cult - the culture survives the personality of leadership. Allan, sorry you and your family went through that. As a good Christian and fine kiwi you certainly did not deserve this.

  5. Even though I understood the mission of GSC to be a life boat for exiting TWI folks, Rocky is correct about GSC not being a damage control for TWI. I only ascerted that because I thought that we could help keep a Christian organization active and INFLUENCE the outcome. Well, DWBH wrote something that made me realize that is an impossibility: TWI will institute it's sellected new president and as long as the previous controller lives, the TWI president will follow their dictates. Yes, I should have known but had dreamt of a TWI that was pure and devoid of the corruption - TWI has so much capital to do God's work, but, that's not what will ever happen so long as the leadership follows the direction it has now and in the past. Like I said, DWBH wrote well in relating how the transition of power works in TWI. I still ascert, TWI will experience another mass exit and GSC should be prepared to receive. I don't dream for another TWI, I dream for those assets of TWI being put to a good purpose, what an f'n waste.

  6. Again, I am a new member here at GSC. I have been coming here for years; I finally figured out how to post!! I was in TWI from 1978-1988. I went WOW in1978-1979 in Joliet, Ill. My WOW year was terrible!! One year was more than enough for me! I took the AC in 1985, in Rome City, IN. Lord, what a waste of my time, and money!! In 1988, Uncle Sam sent me to Italy, by way of the Navy. There were no real fellowships in Italy, so I left TWI for good. When I came back to the US in 1990, TWI was falling about. So I attended some fellowships near NYC; they were wonderful!! I know some people people were blessed with the time they spent in TWi; others were not. However, I had no idea of all the terrible abuses that went on in some places in TWI, until I came here to the GSC!! I can not believe how many people suffered in TWI. I feel so foolish, for saying this, but I really did not know. I have read so many horror stories about how so many people suffered so much in TWI. I met some great people, but I also met some a--holes!! I am thankful that God met me where I was at; but I can understand why others want nothing to do with him.

  8. I know for a fact Peggy is still devoted to him (Victor) even after he has plead guilty. I know Lacey (2nd oldest daughter) is still out in Spokane or Bellingham area. I can only guess she supports him also. It's crazy how deep seeded their thinking is for this Monster. I feel so sorry for Lindsay, she is Isolated and going through this without her families support. I know she has her extended family, which is wonderful, but for her own mother to deny all of this. She says (Peggy) "Lindsay has things confused". What a line of crap that is.

  9. Jean Yves de Liar...hmmnnnn...you mean the guy that called me on the phone when my family and I decided to check out of hotel Indiana californication halfway through our family corps training ?? The guy that said to me that twi would pay our airfares back to New Zealand BUT only IF we kept our mouths shut as to the things we had seen going on ?? The guy that ordered Paul Mosquito who was running Indiana campus at the time to throw me out of Stone Halls top window if I dared open my mouth before being escorted off campus ?? Jean yves de Liar who instructed New Zealand country co-ordinator to send goons round to my home once we got back to physically attack me in an attempt to intimidate me into silence ??.....Top pick for the job...lmao

  10. Yeah......just like wierwille's claim after his sermon on drunkenness. Supposedly, wierwille went to the back of the church and dropped to his knees ".....and asked the Father to forgive him and that he would NEVER AGAIN preach a negative sermon." Who ya gonna believe? PFAL or your lying eyes (and ears)? <_<

  11. Ever notice the transition stages in twi?.... 1970's......The life of the ministry is in the twig. 1980's......The life of the ministry is in the branch. 1990's......The life of the ministry is at the limb. 2000's......The life of the ministry is at hq. At the request of hq, busloads of visitors were traveling to the sunday teachings to fill more rows in the auditorium. "Come and see" had replaced the 1970's outreach of "Go and Tell." Twi is guarding the victor paul wierwille copyrights via a small oligarchy of central power. And, even though two of the wierwille offspring are mounting a charge that CFF is the true, rightful gatekeeper of "The Word".......TWI has a vicegrip on the property, the wierwille farmhouse and now the VPW Auditorium. In terms of wierwille preservation, does it really matter who's teaching scripture anymore?
