  1. Once during his anniversary celebration, I heard that man blubbering on and on in front of the staff about how much he loved his wife. If he did, why in the H did he cheat on her so much? The most heartbreaking thing I heard was him saying he would go and raise a dead twig coordinator, reprove him, and tell him to die again. This twig coordinator has died from health reasons. It had been comfirmed to lcm by corps in that area that this man had been warned about his unhealthy life-style (eating and lacking of exercise). I can't believe the ego lcm had. If ever I hated anyone, it would be him. I loath that man.
  2. I thought the guy who played Fin's dad in the dream was the lawyer who owned the house on the shore that Tony and Carmela wanted to buy (and then backed out bcause of the separation). Remember when Tony had the thugs out on the boat blaring music?
  3. Wonder1: Here are some things consider: 1. The Way has not apologized for wrongs it knows were done to people during lcm's reign. My only hunch on this is because they don't want to set themselves up for lawsuits as a result of it. 2. Some leadership in twi is still practicing control over people and their personal lives. This is one reason I left. I left December 2002. So that means that even though lcm was long gone (or is he???), leaders are still practicing the bad habits they learned from him. 3. They still teach that you leave God's protection if you leave twi. That is the biggest lie ever told. It keeps people in fear. That is wrong. I think it is wrong to downsize twi's wrongs. They hurt a lot of people and families and haven't apologized or made it right. They put the pefection label on themselves anyway. twi: "We serve God's Word on a silver platter." WRONG!!!! twi's leadership is served on a silver platter. twi: "Nobody teaches the Word like twi." WRONG!!! Go to any churches laterly? I hear lots of truth in church.
  4. Ilda is a popular girl. Look on some previous posts; she's been asked about quite often. She graduated from the kork a few years ago and went to work in switchboard at headquarters. She may very well still be there. Call twi and ask for her; she may be the one who greets you. She is a nice girl.
  5. Isn't it refreshing to see our priorities change after leaving a cult? I remember stupid things being upset that I didn't get a leather bound RTHS today, not driving 250 miles to see vp when he visited our state, and not getting a picture of me with lcm when I was on staff. Before I left staff, all of these things were dung to me. I have more important things to accomplish....like spending time with my new husband and making babies..... :D-->
  6. I was very hurt when vp died. I was a WOW, and out whole family was very emotional over his death. We were to be the first group of WOWs who would come "home" without being greeted at our pinning service by vpw. Now that I no longer worship men, I see my emotions were based on immaturity and blind stupidity. I am sorry when anybody dies, but I will never think of a man in such an idolatrous way again. That WOW pin means nothing to me today except for a year of hell spent with people who used grace as a license to sin (myself included--Sorry God).
  7. I know of a clergyman who was told to leave grounds during ROA 1995. I heard it was because he was fooling around with another woman while he was married. I also heard this man had recurring problems in this area. If this is true, did he get booted because twi had to show they were moral....yeah right....or was it because he stepped in on lcm's booty call???
  8. My question would be: Why was Craig Martindale allowd to remain as the president when they knew the life-style he was living???
  9. Where is your BELIEVING???? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL That's all it takes. Be like the frog who fell in the the cream. Keep moving until you turn that cream into butter..... Promises made by that darn cult, and I condemned myself for so many years -->
  10. I think people put a big name on nametags. I remember being at an ROA with my advanced class name tag. I was young when I got in twi and young when I took the ac. I passed by a woman on my way to the big top bozo tent and heard her saying "Wow, she took the advanced class before I even took the foundational class." I remembered at the time thinking that was ridiculous. She should have thanked her lucky stars she didn't get involved in that cult earlier. I would have been out by then if I were smarter then.
  11. Dot, Sure, I will post some pics after the event. It's only one week away!! I won't post pics until after the honeymoon though.... ;)-->
  12. Dot, Thank you! I did announce our engagement on GS Cafe. I didn't announce the marriage. We got married on March 12, and I moved to Arizona 2 1/2 weeks ago. We will have a church wedding for our family and friends on May 8. Then we will have a honeymoon!!!
  13. I think they gave some cots and other miscellaneous ROA stuff away to their local area. I doubt they ever gave money to a good cause though.
  14. --> But, we are not the ones in a destructive cult. -->
  15. Dovey, It's not in 3D....it's shaky. I think it is a way to view action scenes in the eyes of the character. If they are running and jumping and had a camera on their head, think of how you would view their film from their camera.
  16. I married a man who is a "new" Christian and who would be considered very green in the spiritual category. He is more than I could ask or even think of. He thinks the world of me, is very affectionate, and makes me feel like I am the most special woman in the world. Also, he is more honest with me than any wayfer man I dated. If he were not a christian, I would still feel the same way about him. I like Rascal's thoughts on this. Actions will speak louder than words. I always like to know how a man acts in public, with his family, and how he treats his mother or sisters. It is also good if you can find out how people at work think of him. I think it is safe to rely on your gut feeling. I knew the first day I talked to my now husband that we would marry. If you ever have any questionable thoughts about this man, ask him about it. I recently saw something in my husband that I never saw before, and it kinda bothered me. He was very honest to answer me, and then I wasn't bothered anymore. If a man (or woman :D-->) isn't honest enough to explain their words or actions, then I would say that is a red flag.
  17. It's been a while since I've been on GSC regularly. I can't find things like I used to because the websie seemed to change. I moved to Arizona, and my husband has a macintosh. Is that the reason why I can't find anything????? I know people have sent me private topics because now it seems they are going to my email. Sorry to you who sent them, I haven't figured out how to respond. Can somene help me????
  18. My hubby and I saw it today. Dot is right. The cinamatography is terrible, but the story line is a good one. Neither on eof us got sick or dizzy, but I found it very irritating and distracting with the way things were filmed. This was a very different role for Denzel Washinton. He played the part very well.
  19. You know, twi really doesn't have any original ideas. They copied ideas and set their path based on the old testament. If they think they are the new, dynamic church, why don't they blaze new trails? Who's getting revelation in there anyway? Boring..... -->
  20. Oh yeah....I remember that. There was a guy who had made a bronze in regognition of that with Elija approaching Elisha at the plow to give him his mantle. They were likening VP to Elija and lcm to Elisha with the passing of the mantle. The bronze was on display in the auditorium. I wonder if it still is since twi's Elisha copped out and proved himself the poo-poo head he really is.
  21. Shelbert, I moved to Arizona a couple of weeks ago. I am in the thick of wedding planning and trying to get a job. I almost had a tizzy when I found out that no florist would do flowers that weekend, May 8, since it is the day before Mother's Day. But I got the florist at a Safeway store to do them.....THANK GOD!! Other than that, we got everything else in place. I probably have to make one more trip to Vegas for shopping for final things, and we should be good to go. I will post some pictures for you guys after I come back from my honeymoon in Cozumel! I miss San Diego terribly. This town is small (2 major streets), and it is windy here a lot. Thankfully it is not cold though. I'm adjusting, and coutning down the days until we can move back to California......:)-->.........and have some babies in the next six months or so......:)--> I hadn't been on GS for quite some time before my move because I was crazy busy packing and training a new person for my old position. I trained one for a week, and then she left without any notice. I guess it was too much work for her. The second gir we hired got a crash course in a week. The poor girl was kinda freaking out on my last day. She's doing good now though. There were just a lot of things to my old job. I hope all of my experience and skills will get me a good one here im Arizona. Until then....I'm prayin'.
  22. Radar, how could I forget that any original idea comes from the mog/wog because God gave it by revelation? Man, am I becoming natural-minded or what??? I better go renew my mind, and then tell God what I want Him to do (since that's how I used to pray as a Wayfer.) I guess I should have remembered that since "Stayin' Alive" stole ideas from "Athletes of the Spirit" (even though Stayin' Alive" came out almost 2 years BEFORE AOS). I've been out of twi for over a year and already I'm missng the cutting edge of being spiritual....... :P-->
  23. I was watching Pulp Fiction on HBO last night. The infamous scene where John Travolta takes his boss' girlfriend (Uma Thurman) to get the adrenaline shot after a drug OD has a line that caught my attention. Travolta says, "If Marsal finds out about this, I will be a greasespot." I bet loyboy stole that line......
  24. Insurgent, You know twi explained things to benefit them. I remember one ordained guy who had problems in life and got droppeed from the corps. They believed he still had a gift ministry and even allowed him to go back in the Kork. But the poor guy still didn't end up making it. He ended up dying in a work-related accident. I remember lcm being pretty disappointed and po'd about this guy, as if this man had shamed the ministry. I felt sympathy for the poor man thinking about the guilt that must have been projected on him and how his life had been scrutinized by a bunch of hypoctites. In twi ordination, it's all about how the person glorifies the ministry (you know the ministry is the Word right?--HA! :P-->)
  25. I remember martinpuke saying he studied psychology. I don't know if he actually graduated because he was witnessed to while he was in college. I remember people being charged at least $100 for WAP. I remember the family deal too, but not the cost.
