  1. Linda Z, When I was there (1996-2001), she wasn't the dept. coord. Although it was still under her as a trustee. N*k M*xs*n was the dept. coord for way pub after rfr. I understand from friends who worked there they he runs it pretty similarly as rfr did. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  2. I saw it Saturday. It was very sombering. I bought popcorn before the movie, but I sure couldnt' eat it. That was nice the manager at your cinema passed out kleenex. I sure needed it. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  3. I can't wait!!!! The previews look intense! Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  4. I thought they were Limb, maybe even Region, coordinators. I don't remember where though. Let me think; maybe I will remember in a bit. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  5. I like that!! Thanks for sharing that WW! Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  6. Thanks for the update....what about Charlotte getting the baby? I missed that too. I saw Samantha tell Smith that she didn't want him to sleep with anyone else...anything else to that ending? And Miranda chases after Steve's mom and rescues her from eating pizza out of the garbage....anything else to that? Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  7. I was out of town last weekend, and I taped the show. I missed the last part of it because it must have ran more than 1/2 an hour. My tape ended where Carrie decided to leave Petrovsky. What happened after that??? I can't believe I missed her reunion with Big!! Can anyone fill me after that? I did see the part where she was on the street looking for a taxi and Big rode right by in a car.....man!! Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  8. 'bout what Shelbert? Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  9. Gee whiz OM, you do live in a country that does not require you to address anyone even if you are addressed. You can keep walking. But on the other hand, you could help improve someone's life......if you wanted to. ;)--> The choice is yours. Hope I don't meet you on the street if I am ever in need. 10. When we were in twi, it was discouraged very much to NOT give money to strangers, homeless, etc. Last night while shopping in Target, a woman approached me. She told me her car ran out of gas and asked if I had some spare change. She didnt' look homeless (not that it matters), but she seemed like she could have been my sister. I hesitated momentarily because of the waybrain, but then I cheerfully gave her $10. I put myself in her shoes and decided if she was lying, that was her problem. I just know if I were in a bad situation like that and someone gave me $$$, I would be so grateful. In contrast to my Waydaze, I really believe I am putting myself in a situation to minister and help people even more. That girl needed gas more than she will ever need pfal or wap. I hope to be better prepared next time that becomes available to me. Then I can really minister to someone's heart....if they want me to. ;)--> Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  11. CW, Do you think Christ in you and the spirit in you are one in the same? I wonder this. I have God's spirit in me, and I have Christ in me. How the heck do I know what is speaking to me? Maybe they are one in the same...... Omigosh! Does that sound trinitarian??? Some how I don't get my panties in a bunch anymore in thinking like that. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  12. I love having a relationship with the Lord now. In twi, it was so cold and distant. I remember being told that if we had any vision of God in our minds, it was idolatrous. I remember also being told that it was not available to have a personal relationship with God. This morning on my way to work, I was thinking about listening to the inner man. Who is the inner man? Is it Christ? I think so because I still believe in Christ in me. I was also remembering about the spirit revealing things to us. In twi, it was our gift, but I really believe now it is the Holy Spirit. I was trying to differentiate between the difference between the spirit in us and the inner man. Is there any difference? Maybe not. Maybe each has a different function. Anybody have any ideas? Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  13. Here's one of my favorites...:)--> God of Wonders Lord of all creation Of water earth and sky The heavens are your tabernacle Glory to the Lord on high Chorus: God of wonders beyond our galaxy You are holy, holy The universe declares your majesty You are holy, holy Lord of heaven and earth Lord of heaven and earth Early in the morning I will celebrate the light When I stumble in the darkness I will call your name by night Chorus God of wonders beyond our galaxy You are holy, holy The universe declares your majesty You are holy, holy Lord of heaven and earth Lord of heaven and earth Hallelujah... to the Lord of heaven and earth Hallelujah... to the Lord of heaven and earth Hallelujah... to the Lord of heaven and earth God of wonders beyond our galaxy You are holy, holy The universe declares your majesty You are holy, holy (x3) Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  14. I love worship service where I can express my gratitude and surrender myself to the Lord by singing to Him and lifting up holy hands to Him. I never dreamed in a million years that I would do this, but it is so healing. I was pretty freaked out to do it, so I didn't for a long time after joining my church. I realized how stiff I was concerning a relationship with God. I didn't want to be stiff. I wanted to be a friend of God, so I gave in, unclenched those tight muscles that my waybrain caused, and decided to enjoy my newfound relationship. Some of the songs are so healing and really put in you in the frame of mind of how much you really need God. Some really get my heart to realze what God accomplished for us. It is so different to be in a surrendering mind-set than to think that you have it all together. I don't have it all together, and I need God to help me. I never learned that while in twi. 15. Man, did I waste $29.99 on SpyHunter. Spybot is great! Thanks; it worked very well! Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  16. I watched closely, but it's hard to tell. My guess is that it is T*d Ph*ll*ps. He is the one who usually does the song leading at the sunday services. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  17. JL, Was that in Oregon when you knew Terry? Look in Yahoo people search. There are a lot of Terry Christians. Maybe you could find him and talk to him. Although I always knew him and his wife to be nice people, they always seemed unrelenting to their support to and for twi. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  18. That guy was pretty much raised in twi. He is the son of a reverend, and he recently graduated from the corpse. I liked him when I was on Staff. He is young, vivacious, and not religious. I hope his WC training didn't change him. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  19. LOL!! My boss said the same thing when I was playing the video on her computer. This video is really sappy and sugar-coated. It was sad for me to see so many people I knew while I was on Staff. I'm sad that they are still suckered in to that craphole of an organization which takes advantage of people. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  20. Ex10, Excellent thread!! I've been wondering all of this too. I sent you a private topic. :)--> ********************** Waterbuffalo, My sister told me about that book, but I was so against reading it only because of Benny Hinn authoring it. Then I realized my only thing against him was based on waybrain. I will read it some day soon. I'm sure he has some great things to teach about the holy spirit. 21. I recently purchased Spy Hunter because I got some horrible XXXToolbar (no, I don't surf porn sites) from some site that tried to take over my main page on IE. Spy Hunter took it off, but then I still had Startium Search Toolbar on my IE. I finally figured out how to get rid of that. Every day when I run Spy Hunter, PeopleOnPage comes up as a severe parasite to be removed. Anyone know where it comes from or how to keep it from getting on your computer? I know I can keep running Spy Hunter, but I want to know how ot avoid it all together. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  22. Terry is a great man! He and Bronte went to Tennessee (Memphis or Nashville???) in 2001 to coordinate a Branch. I saw him at ACS in Nov 2002. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  23. Teknon20: I was in twi almost 20 years. I couldn't stomach the thought of getting up in front of a bunch of wayfers to tell them I loved my life for the past twenty years. It would have been a lie. Part of my reason for leaving was because my local leadership was still trying to control my life. I talked to a lot of people when I went to the ACS in Nov. 2002, and I find that it is different in each area. So much for speaking the same thing. I moved to my area after being on Staff for 5 years at HQ. I moved into a house with 2 other women. I worked days, Monday through Friday, and they worked mostly night with sporadic days off. They wanted to party when they got home, and they wanted to have friends from work coming over. That's all fine and dandy, but it was always on nights that I had to get up and work. I talked to them, and they didn't want to change their life-style, so I made a decision to move into my own apartment. I didn't think they should change the way they wanted to live, and I shouldn't either. I went to go get an apartment closer to my work place. I talked to my roommates (and my landlord who is in twi also). Everything was OK as far as I knew. I then called my fellowship coordinator to tell her I was moving. This move put me in in a different branch. She was fine at first, but then called me 10 minutes later to give me the "safety in a multitude of counselors" BS story and why didn't I talk to her before making such a big decision. She in turn talked to the branch coord (who was also the limb coord). And this big thing blew up about me not considering that I was leaving these poor girls in a bad situation. The girls never voiced this to me. They didn't even after I left. I stayed friends with them. I told that fellowship coord that I didn't question my need for counsel as I was making the best decision for my life. In addition to this, I was told by my BC to tell people who inquired about the situation at HQ when lcm left to talk to their fellowship coordinators. I was not to talk about it at all. I was told by the same BC that my relationship with my boyfriend should not affect the household or there would be no marriage for us. I guess that meant we would have to go outside the household to get married. --> One of my roommates was demanded by our FC to come over to get her a$$ chewed. My roommate was bed-ridden sick, and the FC knew this. So much for the best leader first being the best servant...... The same FC DEMANDED that we attend her functions. She had fellowship 2 times a week plus 1 or 2 functions a week. Those functions were usually witnessing. We all got tired of twi being our life. We usually decided not to go. We got questioned when we didn't. I saw twi spoke out both sides of it's mouth. I also know that I wasn't too impressed by the current president while I was at HQ. She was bitchy to me once, so I guess I have a bad taste in my mouth. She has no charisma, and I don't trust her to be my leader personally. Not to mention that I really felt like a twi slave on staff. We worked our arses off. When I first started, we worked 55 hours a week. Try making up work that is not there just so you can put in your time........now that's what I call quality of life....NOT!!! Just a few things I wanted to share. Sorry it got so long. I was clueless too. Being on Staff and then coming to GSC helped open my eyes to twi's bad habits which started from the foundations with vpw. Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects.
