TheEnd I know how you feel also. I felt very alone and without purpose when I left twi. I went to a Divorce Care Group at a local church. It is group therapy, and it allowed me to vent my feelings and frustrations. It is a great support group. It really helped me not only to mend and recover my relationship with God, but it also helped me to move on from my 20 year cult experience and dysfunctional relationship with a man I had in twi. I wanted to say what I wanted to without being judged, and that group provided that safe haven for me. I hope for the best for you. What about the teaching he did in January 1996. TWI had a major snow storm, and nobody could make it to the STS. So lcm spewed the whole time in the auditorium either by himself or with staff only in the audience. Anyway, the tape was called "Prove the Sincerity of Your Love". It was lcm's teaching that you should give everything above your need to the ministry. He had fellowships listen to the tape and discuss their feelings on it. People were "counseled" on their thoughts if they disagreed with the new doctrine. Somehow I don't think this tape went out as a "regular" sts tape. I say BULL....!!!! I shared a house with two other way women. We had different work schedules and life-styles. I chose not to live with these two anymore. I found an apartment and moved to another branch. I was questioned as to my motives because I was "putting a hardship on these two women" by moving out. I was questioned as to why I didn't run my decision by leadership FIRST because afterall there is safety in a multitude of counselors. This happened in the spring of 2002. I told them I didn't question my need to move, therefore I didn't require counsel. Several phone calls went on behind my back with my ex- roommates to make sure they weren't hurt over my moving. For crying out loud; I talked to both of them before I made my decision!!! It's all a matter of control. twi wants control of people's lives. I heard of someone suggesting themselves to VP or they would leave. The person never got ordained. I know lcm made the decision on a bunch of ordinations in 1995. There were a few ordinations after this before lcm's fall, but lcm didn't do the ordinations himself. The Regions coords in the respective areas did the ordaining. We were taught in twi that earthquakes and other major environmental catastrophes in other countries happened because they didn't worship the one true God. After hearing the news on the Iran earthquakes, I don't believe that doctrine anymore. These countries don't have the resources or money to build as extravagantly like they do in California or Tokyo for example. How many buildings fell completely down in in Cal or Tokyo before they figured out how to lessen the impact? I don't think it had a thing to do with the religion of the people. I began questioning things after being a staff slave for a year or so. I left hq with an attitude that NOBODY was going to tell me how to live my life anymore, but I was still hoodwinked to believe twi had the foothold in the truth. That was the only reason I stayed after that. Going to the ACNotSoSpayshul last November sparked my desire to leave, and I did in about 2 weeks after that thanks to some GSC friends. Three guidelines to live by: 1) Never tell anyone to marry someone. 2) Never tell anyone to get divorced. 3) Never tell anyone how to live their life.
