  1. As a point of interest...Barnard also was involved with and promoted the Momentus training...
  2. ...The bottom line is that so many of the leaders of the splinter groups went out and applied the organization ideas that Wierwille instilled in them. It may well have been better if TWI had never fragmented like it did...at least then all the false ministers were in one place and they were easier to target and warn people about. Today there are numerous "ministries" across the country with former TWI leaders at the head...they all have different names and they all teach their own version of the bible, which usually resembles Wierwille's teaching quite closely. Even as Wierwille's enormous ego fueled his insistence on being the "man of God", the various splinter group leaders take on similar roles. Their organizations are usually pyramid echelons with a centralized power base...classes and tapes are the order of the day and revenue is generated by the same methods that VPW taught them...As far as I'm concerned they are all big frogs in little ponds. They generally make enough money to avoid from having to find a real job and oftentimes they end up fairly wealthy. Most of them profess to have broken free of the corruption that was rampant in TWI but in the final analysis they are still in the "God business"...They may be fooling their followers and even themselves but as far as I'm concerned they can all kiss my foot. Profiting from a religious organization is a cowards way to con your way through life...unlike other businesses they do not produce any tangible goods or manufacture anything useful that can be measured in any real way other than in the amount of .... they can get people to swallow...they prey on people's hunger for truth, desire to know God and fear of death...they exploit naive and hungry people for their own egos and their own bank accounts. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of sins in my own life but I have never knowingly lied in God's name for my own self serving purposes...God is everywhere around us and in us...you don't have to pay money to know Him...and if you DO know anything about God, sharing it with others should not be turned into a business...IMHO
  3. Haven't been around for awhile and I thought I would check this thread out...so Geer was on a feeding tube? Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Which end did they stick the tube in? If it were up to me I'd have shoved that thing up hi a**.
  4. Wow!...I saw the title of this thread "River Road Fellowship" and thought it was a new thread considering the current news about Barnard...I was a little bit stunned to see that these posts were written nearly 5 years ago! Now that Barnard is the subject of a nation wide man hunt, are there any updates from those of you who were involved with this guy? The truth of the matter is that there were many of us who went through the corps who could have pulled off what Barnard did...the reason we didn't was because we were not sufficiently sick, twisted, immoral, selfish or deviant enough to do it... http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/25279632/victor-barnard-the-history-of-a-cult-leader
  5. Yeah...I agree with Steve. John is facing some horrible experiences in his near future and I really don't want to kick the guy when he is down. I'll say that John Lynn has spent his life trying to be the best bible teacher he could be and I believe that he has probably helped a lot of people...Is he arrogant? Does he have his own sins in life to deal with? Has he ever deliberately lied to people for his own gain?...Probably so...but as we all draw closer to old age and the end of life, I have no bitterness towards him and I wish him well. I will pray for him not because he "called in his markers" but because he is need of prayer...I give my prayers unconditionally. May God be with him...and may He be with all of us as well.
  6. Yes...They actually downplayed TWI's adultery a bit because they claimed it was between consenting adults...Actually there were many children who were abused in TWI...both sexually and in other ways. If you ever spent any time at Rome City and witnessed the way kids were treated...it sends shivers down my spine today when I think about it.
  7. Lynn indeed has cancer of the bones and posted this letter on Face Book: http://us1.campaign-archive1.com/?u=8a014988fa2b8906ff424e0a6&id=13326cd120
  8. Hi folks...haven't been here for quite awhile. The Barnard issue drew me back out of curiosity. I listened to the Fox news report regarding Barnard and how he came out of TWI...As the Fox news reporter referred to VPW as Dr Victor Wier-wile, I couldn't help but chuckle...and it's only fitting that TWI has finally found it's proper definition in it's historical context as a "cult of adultery" LOL!
  9. I always thought Geer missed his calling...he would have made a great nazi officer in Hitler's army.
  10. For a number of years, this was the website to come to for cult recovery from the Way International...for many reasons it has ebbed and diminished in recent years...probably because TWI has ebbed and diminished greatly...however...if there are still any folks who need help...if you are still involved with twi or are having a hard time since you left twi...I am still willing to help you. Just let me know...I am willing to talk with you, pray with you, explain things to you...whatever you need. Twi is an insidious cult that harms people greatly...but there are solutions to the problems you face if you are still being effected by this cult...leave me a message if you want and I will be glad to talk to you and help you. Life after twi is GREAT!
  11. This looks like the last thread that was posted...2 days ago. Hi guys...thought I would drop in and see if the place was still open...coffee's cold...donuts are stale...what happened to this place?
  12. Haven't been here in quite a few years...thought I would stop by and mention what a bunch of lowlifes the leaders in TWI were...especially Martindale...Is he still sucking air or has he checked into an old folks home?
  13. Hi there...anybody here? Haven't been here for awhile...anybody I remember or that remembers me?
  14. ...and what does our country do best?
  15. You would think that even wierwille would realize that cult association is the kiss of death for a politician...(Perry is trying it on Romney right now)...
  16. I'm wondering if a twier vacations for a week in another country...do they count that country too?
  17. ...and twi built their house on deceit, using people and "supposing gain was godliness"... Of course "Dwelling together" is the perfect theme for them this year...Didn't Richard Dahmer "dwell" with his victims before he ate them?...First lure them in, then sink their fangs into their necks, draining them of their life and vitality.
  18. Congrats Ham...I'm glad that there are people who really apply themselves to this discipline...me?...I have trouble balancing my checkbook...
  19. I found that life was much better without cult indoctrination...
  20. Thanks Hap...I recognized you also from your photos...it's funny how some memories are always accessible... I've seen a lot of people come and go from the Greasespot Cafe...my best wishes to all of you reading this and all who are gone from the Cafe... ...and isn't it ironic that Dot Matrix and GrouchoMarxjr hook up?...who'd a thunk?
  21. Thanks one and all for your kind thoughts....
  22. charged with oversight?...What the f... does that mean? In other words, they own the business that they have started...
  23. Amish men grow beards but no moustaches... ...Rosie has a moustache but no beard...
