  2. Maxwell's (Silver) Hammer--------------The Beatles ??
  3. Lord have mercy. Next thing you know, we'll be hearing from someone who insists that "Kilroy was here" is an example of classic free verse poetry describing intricate political nuances of WWII.
  4. Stay tuned for another gripping episode of Wacky Stuff Exposed as we explore the possibility that E.T., The Extraterrestrial was actually a documentary.
  5. Hear Ye! Hear Ye! By the power vested in me by myself, I hereby proclaim myself to be a vested proclaimer. I thereby extend to myself, kudos for a proclamation well extended. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, The Bible Tells Me So is sophomoric, regardless of where the content originated.
  6. Oh, sure, NOW you tell me! After I've dedicated the last 10 years of my life to making those dechomai and lambano notations in all my Bibles.
  7. What did you learn? That life is too darn short.
  8. When People ask me where I'm from, I tell them. Then, they usually respond by asking, "Why did you move HERE?". My typical response is a rather simple, "It's complicated". What I've found is that, unless someone is genuinely interested in you as a person, they would usually prefer not to pursue a conversation about something that is "complicated".
  9. Yeah, I see your point. The whole thing was an exercise in kindergarten logic from day one. Snow storm my foot!---More like a snow JOB!
  10. No. It's not a doctrinal issue. It's simply an observation of how ludicrous it is to exalt the written PFAL materials over the audio materials of PFAL.( as if either one of them had any real value to start with.)
  11. 'Nother thing. This one has me perplexed, too. How's come visually impaired people would have to make special arrangements that weren't required of sighted folks? Maybe life isn't fair but I always thought that God was. (fair, that is)
  12. Here's something else that puzzles me. It's been said that 100,000 people sat through PFAL. Personally, I believe that number to be grossly exaggerated but let's say, for the sake of argument, that 50,000 people took PFAL. That would mean that 50,000 people were allowed to purchase a tainted product when the "pure" version was readily available. That doesn't seem very ethical, now does it? I wonder why a guy who had a personal connection to God Almighty didn't step up to the plate and correct the product flaws.
  13. I'm the kind of guy who wonders about stuff. Like, for example, let's say a guy is blind and has been reliant on the audio version of PFAL as his authoritative source. Doesn't seem fair, really, that he's been confined to a defective version, now, does it?
  14. Gee, Mike, I'm corn-fused. If there is no contradiction, what seems to be the problem?

    Another Poll

How shall I put this delicately? Some are---well---no longer amongst us. We ain't gettin' no younger----Know what I mean?
  16. Hi, Mike You've piqued my interest. Can you elaborate why you've deduced that wierwille's verbal teachings contradict his writings? If you don't mind, would you cite some specific examples?

    A Strange thread

Bang the drum, Dude. Have a great birthday.
  20. So then your stance is that "God taught VPW what to put in print". Kinda makes me wonder why God would have taught him things that have been shown, time and time again, to be inaccurate and then had him commit them to print. One would think it would have been just as easy, or easier, for God to show VPW things that WERE accurate and have him commit them to print. Why would God view promotion of inaccuracies regarding His word as a solution to any sort of problems traditional Christians might be faced with?
  21. I remember it too---just don't remember the exact session or paragraph or date or Way Mag issue or SNS # or whatever. That's not the point anyway. The point is he said it------- and several of us remember it.
  22. Are you referring to this? "We can not know anything about the spiritual world by way of the senses."? (page 24) Last time I checked, the mind was in the realm of the senses. So then how can "your spirit teach your mind"? And, more importantly, how does Romans 10:17 (in any way, shape or manner) prove that "your spirit teaches your mind."? The whole class is so filled with contradictions and unsubstantiated claims, it has no merit or value.
