  1. Year 2027, I did not watch your post video, I don't feel the need. I have not adhered to the concept of there needing to be proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ outside the Bible and spiritual experience. There's nothing to prove by historical data, we don't believe based on the findings or nonfindings of historical/archeological data - maybe some do but on what then does one believe? The Bible is pretty clear, you either beleive it or not, regarless of how one divides the resurrection records. I have my favorite verses, mostly from the Pauline epistles and John's gospel but we here already know those. With all due respect Year 2027, I would not expect alot of dissertation on this topic based on a video but rather, as noted, take it to the doctrinal forum - though, I see it also as perfect for "questioning faith". I just think the folks on GSC don't want to haggel over this topic, as crucial as it is to everlasting life or whatever term we desire to apply to the concept. Sorry if my 2 cents did not offer squat (I really miss that cents key on the keyboard, I think it was shift 8).
  2. When I started this forum thread it was quite early in my experience with GSC, here's what I originally posted: I would like some feedback from folks who have read the REV or who were even involved in the research. I realize that some folks on GSC have no (P) love for John.S but if you respond, I would appreciate it if you would keep it objective... Well, I made a mistake in thinking that responses would be objective - DWBH just proved that. There's way too much emotion and dislike for twi off-shoots to make that possible for objective evalution of the REV. Addmitedly, there were some very good disertations on the thread topic and I thank those of you who provided them, thus, I will probably continue to monitor this thread since the REV consistently updates. Now, DWBH, you said, " So, bye bye on this rev topic for me. Stick a fork in it MRAP. It's done.", thus, I would expect you will live up to your words, I don't anticipate hearing from you again on this thread. Tzaia, you seem to have an inside track with STF and the development/progression of the REV: can you ellaborate a bit more on the concept of the peer review that was expected? Thanks.
  3. So, what's language. You should understand this: if a frog says crivitz and no other frog understands it but a toad knows it's a town in north east Wisconsin, is it a language, is it SIT. Well no, of course not, at least to the frog but the toad, he get's it. I am not trying to be cute. So on the day of Penticost, 12 languages (there abouts) were spoken and there were folk in the assembly that understood. Do you ascertain that when you SIT their must be folk present to understand the SIT? Hope you don't croak before responding. My point: meeting with Christians while in military service in Europe, mostly around the Mediteranian, numerous languages spoken and no issues with speaking in tongues. SIT is not a TWI exclusive thing - get over it, SIT existed before twi and will exist, well, until now. Hey, not to change the discussion but I ask: don't you wanna be alive when the rapture occurs. Still on topic: what's more spiritual than being caught up in the air.
  4. Rocky, the hate I quoted was the hate exhibited by quite a few GSC posters towards twi - I was not speaking about any hate by GSC posters towards me - if I gave that impression than I had better proof my writings prior to posting. Now, I must disagree with your aspect of "spiritual abuse", simply because I have never heard of such a term - sounds more like some sort of demonic junk but I don't think that's how you meant it. Correct me since I want to understand your intent: you meant it in the mind set that so called spiritual folks dissed on followers with the supposition they were spiritual dumb asses. Now, if that's what you meant, then I also am a victem of the emotional ramifications of spiritual abuse: hey, I was a WOW in the branch leaders family - branch leader being a 4th Corp Gal (yeh, I understand that continual emotional beat down). About half way through the year I began to understand she "had issues" thus, I rationalized my continued trust in twi and spent another year on the field (state program, back then twi would not let you go WOW back to back). Yup, I blah'd but I did stay on topic (Overlords): Hey, ain't that a line from Lead Zepplin's Immigrant song?
  5. Yup, I have witnessed that (on line and TV episodes); I have not checked out your link as of this writing but will do so. Yes, it allows the brain to chill out and the colors are exceptional: how do I say kalidascope? Yes, Waysider, the "experiment/research" done by the University of Penn is one of those that I indicated.
  6. I think I got it: If the Dragon in my garage wants to SIT then it's O.K.; listen, I enjoy reading on the doctrinal forum but there's too much "personal" quiping going on about oneself - thanks to all of you who stick to the topic and not making it personal. This forum has picked up speed and I for one am greatly enlightened by it. Thanks, you have no idea how many folks probably come to GSC just to read the topics on the doctrinal forum. O.K., I'm done, please continue - please.
  7. Waysider, you talk of sleep deprivation, I am quite familiar, many times over with the experience. Ironic as it is, when my mind is racing on numerous topics and concerns, I SIT and fall into a deep sleep. Now I am sure such a statement begs controversy but I am only stating personal experience that exists to this day.
  8. Well, yes, skyrider but I gave up dis'n on these sort of folk and their ilk. I beleive in the here-after and if that is real, then they will be getting their due (or un-due as it were at the Bema). Sometimes I want to say: "Let it go", but that will never happen, revenge runs deep, even on the dead. I respond more seldom on GSC since all the hate I read would, at least to me, breed an inner discontent with even more of my past in twi. Sure, that was time quite often ill spent but to continuously dwell on the hate reminds me of a phrase from "Red Dawn": All that hates gonna eat you up kid. I think the GSC site has made its' point many times over and correctly so but can we exhibit some forgiveness. You know, like, thank you Lord that you can forgive Craig,M for being a dick. Listen, words spoken don't mean squat in a prayer, it's what is in your heart since that's what the Lord looks at.

    How

Thanks for the reminder Waysider. I think the "Drunk" story was probably the best lesson taught in PFAL. I don't care if it was true or not, it taught a good lesson. Not sure if it fit in with the rest of PFAL, who cares; the Drunk story has stayed with me for years and I thank you for bringing it to the fore front once again.
  10. I think I stippulated appropriatley Skyride, don't take part of what I said out of the whole context. I thought I was clear between what's in the Bible and what someone wrote about stuff in the Bible.
  11. O.K. Raf, given your opening statements, you can not be incorrect, you win the discussion regardless but I doubt winning was your intent, rather, simple discussion of the topic. I ask you, if both are "correct", are you not an arbiter and can thus not take one side or the other, yet, you did. You are sly like the fox.
  12. Not tracking your thought process here Bolshevik, especially with Jesus and the money changers. Maybe you took my reference to lawyers as being the "Biblical" lawyers, no, I was speaking in present day bottom feeders.
  13. To ascert to non-beleif is a paracox. You become a parasite on those with beleif.
  14. The question is absurd. "Ist's" proclaim against "Ism's": I beleive in something I don't believe. Rid'n the rick'n fence - don't that make your balls hurt?

    Free vocalization

Word Wolf, can you please explain the purpose, scope and restrictions to this thread. Reading through the thread it seems very sporadic though you identified a "doctrinal" root to it. So, "Free Vocalization", sounds like an invite to kaos to me but what the hey to I know. Am sure it will soon be shut down by the power broker if it were to get outa hand - looking for the speach police.
  16. This is the doctrinal forum, stay on topic folks. If you wanna talk about vpw or twi take it to the "way" site. I would like to see this doctrinal forum stay pure and unpolluted by crap statements relating to twi or vpw, they have no relativeness to this forum.
  17. I think I get your idea Waysider: let's plagiarize those who Plagiarize, who do the lawyers go after - well, they would go after all of us. Do you think Jesus would go after us for plagiarizing him? It's rhetorical, no need to answer unless you want to. 18. Plagiarism is a pill hard to swallow when speaking from the Bible, if we quote book, chapter and verse are we excluded of plagiarism? Or is it only plagiarism if some still alive or recently alive person "wrote about it". Think about it, we quote and repeat the words of Jesus and the apostles from the gospels, epistles, proverbs, psalms, etc. without giving credit. I guess then we plagiarise on a consistent basis. Where do you draw the line? Yes, vpw's stuff was not original, did he steal it and if vpw took it from someone else, well, who did that person take it from. I find this whole topic of Biblical plagiarism an imploding concept. Really, who cares if truth be known. Yes, I get it: VPW acted as though he "found" some great revelation from the Bible and not from someone else; yes, vpw was a turd for not giving credit, I get it but in the bigger picture lets just be thankfull we have available the Bible in its' many versions. Be thankfull you don't live in the middle east, we would be killed for these conversations - let that sink in a bit.
  19. Thanks Waysider but I doubt it will be moved because if it were, then you would be off topic to dis on twi. I am not a twi follower but even on the doctrinal forum it seems open to dis on twi or twi off-shoots. Then again, this is an anti twi site where any poster can dis at discretion on any forum. At times I forget that rule.
  20. Does this topic really belong on this forum? It would seem, at least to me, that it belongs in "doctrinal". Yeh, correct, now you can stay within GSC protocol and use the topic to dis on twi while avoiding the topic of the thread. I see games here on GSC by resurection of threads and then placing them into a forum thread that channels/stipulates what you can say. I also enjoy reading the resurrected threads but correctly post them so as not to restrict comment. It's strange how the old threads jump all over the place without restricion (thus now you can place them where you want) and now you are supposed to "stay on topic". It seems that stay on topic is a recently exercised rule. Just an observation, am sure I will take hits.
