  1. I haven't seen it yet... One reviewer that I heard from called this a "chick flick". Is this a true statement. (Of course Pirate had a good arguement that it's not ;)-->)
  2. A couple quick comments... 1. I have string on my chairs (for my cat to play with). 2. Karmicdept, I think you fit in fine! And, you are a kind wonderful lady! 3. I have had the pleasure of meeting some people that post here. It is always good to make new friends.
  3. TC/TL/FC: Twig coordinator / twig leader / fellowship coordinator: As time move forward, so did the name of the person who was “running” the fellowship. Translation according to usage: A technique used to try to explain a passage of scripture. At times this was less than accurate and/or was used to promote a doctrine instead of what the passage of scripture actually meant.

  5. From what very little I understand about trademark laws… One case might be close to “case on point” (I will let other people look it up if they want). A couple years back… WWF sued WWF for trademark infringement. These 2 big groups had world wide name recognition. Both groups had very good lawyers, lots of money etc… One group was “non profit” the other “for profit”. The non profit World Wildlife Fund won the case and the World Wrestling Federation had to change it’s name, stop marketing under WWF (toys, clothes, collectibles, change internet domain names, etc.). This cost the company “BIG” bucks. If I remember correctly, it came down to who actually registered first. Of course, this was in the court system for a long time. Just a thought, for whatever it might be worth… Also, Courts don't usually want to get into any doctrin debates concerning religious groups. It's that seperation of church and state thing. Courts deal with law not theology.
  6. Igotout brought a question to my mind concerning money "donated" to twi... I wonder how far back twi keeps the old "blue" and "white" forms? These forms had detailed information on who gave how much.
  7. ANY, group or organizeation only has as much "power" and/or "authority" over a person's life is determined by how much "power" and/or "authority" that person gives them. It is a statement of fact that, many groups and/or organizations have abused the power and/or authority given to them. Such groups are subtle in there techniques. These groups seem to prey upon people who want to "do good" for themselves and/or others. The greater the amount of "power" and/or "authority" that an individule gives away the greater the potential the abuse could be. Hopefully, when people begin to see abuse (to themselves or others), they have the courage to take back whatever "power" and/or "authority" that they gave and leave such a group.
  8. Fantastic news!!!! :)--> CONGRTATS!!!! :)-->
  9. I've posted recipies before... For the most part, I simply cook what I feel like cooking... So, if I get company over.... they will be surprised
  10. One thing I was thinking about (and I could be wrong)... If twi was planning on "going after" other groups and/or individuals who they think are infringing on there "trademark"... It seems to me, that they would start small with cases that they believe that they have a very good chance of winning. By haveing a "winning record" of these types of court cases, this might help them in the more difficult challanges that they might see in the future. IMO, twi might be "testing the waters" on this case. If twi loses, they don't lose that much. If they win, they build momemtum towards a more difficult case in the future.
  11. Dan, I am happy that Starlight has come home to you.
  12. Let me ask a question... When we ABS'd, was the heart "giving to God" or "twi"? When you think of being "good" to the household, do you think of "twi's" defination or what God's defination might be... Shouldn't "God's money" be used to help "God's people"? Many churches help those in there congriation in times of need with the Tithe that has been donated. And, the members of that church don't seem to have a problem with that. Of course, the church books are open for public scrutiny. It seems to me that twi was just selfish and self serving. This seems to me, that this is/was twi policy and practice from the "top to the bottom". Twi could have helped out if they wanted to.
  13. The Mormon Church welfare works very well. I have seen them help many in time of need. However, they do ask that you donate time to help others that are in need of assistance (if phyically able). I am not, nor have I ever been Mormon. But, I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and had/have friends who are Mormon. I have also looked into the belief system of the Mormon Church.
  14. I was wondering… We constantly hear of various groups, churches, organizations helping people who are in need or supporting our Soldiers who are deployed etc. Did twi ever help anybody other than themselves? I know the Mormon Church helps there “members” in time of need. In fact, they have there own welfare system. I can also say that Mormons are active in other charities, and the Church leadership is supportive of such activities. Can twi say the same?

The emails indicate that the FDIC has collaborated with credit card providers to provide a new service for those who wish to secure their credit cards against fraud and to be part of a secure online transaction network. The e-mail claims that, by accessing the embedded link, the recipient can get a free trial membership that provides coupons for discounts at some of the more popular online retail outlets. > > See FDIC SPECIAL ALERTS at: http://www.fdic.gov/news/news/SpecialAlert/2004/sa3404.html
  17. The breathing thing might be a little over rated --> But, I gotta have some standards
  18. To add to what Imbus said... Does he have a sister :D--> ;)-->
  19. Since you asked about other single... My standards are: 1. breathing 2. single 3. can put up with me. hhmmmmmm, I wonder if I didn't have such "high" standards, I would be married
  20. If i might suggetest something here... Now that a new thread has been started... It might be a good idea if someone smarter than me could post the "links" here and what airport we should fly into. I know that the information is buried somewhere in the middle of the other thread. Thanks.
  21. CW, Just one more point concerning your son. IMO, It would be in your sons best intrerest if he can run 3 miles, before he goes to basic training. And be able to do at least 45 push ups in 2 min and 45 situps in 2 min. If he can't, his time at basic training has the possibility of being misrable. Also, make sure he has very good running shoes!! You can't afford to be "cheap" on this issue.
  22. May you have a fantastic birthday!! :)-->
  23. CW, A career in the military.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ Does your son have good color vision? If so, electronics and medicine would be good "fields" to get into. Can you son "pick up" new langquages quickly? If so, then maybe a lingquest. The simple answer for your son is, he should try to get into something that he will enjoy and be good at. If I were to suggest a branch of the service, I would suggest the Air Force. Of course I will also give you a bias career field... (Don't laugh) Military Intelligence.
  24. I got the same e-mails... I delete them without opening them. If I don't know the e-mail addy and/or subject line, I delete... Thankfully, my virus scan (Norton) has caught viruses coming in.
