Yes, it could have easily been done. Someone that doesn't come in to greasespot and came into chat and used the name rascal, not knowing that rascal is being used already. I can see that happening.

So, because I disagree with you, you believe that I still have a twi mindset. I would think that disagreeing with most people would be because I am thinking for myself and not doing the 'group think' thing. I could say that people here at greasespot that disagree with me is because they still have that mentality hearts are hardened because she is doesn't have money to pay for medical bills so lets kill her. I believe it mark. I have worked in nursing homes and can believe this sort of thing happening. Its sad that this sort of things happen. If you've never worked in nursing home that things like this happened, I guess it would be hard to believe.

Galen, this is not Italy..lol This thing really bothers me. When I was in court recently over this girl that was threatening my sons life and had talked my son's friend into hanging herself they had a guardian ad litem come in and talk to all the children and parents and had to give a report to the court. When we went to court the report was given to us right when court started so we were unable to read the facts during the court session, so were unable to dispute anything that was said. In the report it said things that we had said but it was so miscontrued. And it had the guardian ad litems thoughts. She had already gone in with a prejudiced mind about what should happen and wrote her report in that way. Although we did get what we wanted (thank goodness), it made us look like we were trying to go after this poor innocent girl that had problems. What a crock. Also, with the girl that tried to hang herself....The doctors told us there was no hope of her living. That she did not know what was going on. There was no way for her live a normal life. That her responses were reflexes and only reflexes. She also had a feeding tube. They wanted the mother to stop everything because of no chance of living a normal life. When the doctors would come in and examine her they would come in for a minute look at her and leave. The mother would try and tell them that she was responding and they wouldn't listen to her because there was no way she could. Thank goodness she proved them all wrong. I saw her in the store the other day with her sister. Although she is having problems speaking because she is in need of surgery of her vocal cords she was able to respond and was almost normal.

Rascal, thats exactly what kept me in twi for so many years. If I didn't abs the hedge of protection would be gone and terrible things even death could occur. Wow, what fear we all lived in. Its just so amazing how at the beginning we were told that they had keys to unlocking the bible for us to live without fear-only to be in bondage of even more fear than what we started with. The more abundant life is living without PFAL. LOL and no to twi-ers, I am not possessed. lmao

In the '70's I was working in a nursing home. There was a beautiful elderly lady that was a resident. It was well known that she had lots of money. She was very friendly. I don't remember ever meeting her family. One day she suffered a stroke. I don't think it was too bad of one. Her family who never came and visit her decided to do npo which means nothing by mouth. So it was doctor ordered. She was not allowed to be given water or food until she died. Her family still never came to visit. She lasted about 2 maybe 2 1/2 weeks maybe a little more. It was very slow. Very awful to watch. She looked so thirsty. It looked very excruciating. It has stayed with me after all these years of watching someone die in a way that was very inhumane that most wouldn't even do to their own dog much less a family member. Would you want to die in that manner? I think if they wanted to get rid of me that bad put me to sleep like an animal. At least then I wouldn't have to suffer.

Have any of you seen someone die because someone decided to not give them food or drink? I have. It was horrible to watch. It was a slow death. I will never forget it as long as I live.

To me, life support is not starving someone to death. Its just so inhumane. As someone posted earlier and I told someone today at work, we wouldn't even starve a dog!!!!! I am upset about this. I have worked with brain injured. In the videos I've seen with her she is laughing smiling and looking at her mother with love. If I was her parent I would be so desparate and frustrated that this nation would allow anyone to be starved like this!!!!! In fact, I am ashamed. I do agree about life support. But I don't agree with feeding tubes being part of life support.

Please don't give up entirely the social work or all of your schooling. You've put so much work into it. Give it a couple of weeks. There are other avenues you could go with social work. One of them would be working in the human services area of a big business doing hiring and working with the employees. The social work realm is very big. Or working with a private organization finding funding for the organization you truly believe in that would help our society. See? There are many different ways you could go.
