Repentance, accounting, and dealing honestly with our ongoing sinful condition are ways of “cleansing the Temple.” Jesus zealously cleansed the physical temple in Jerusalem so that his Father’s house could be pure for worship. In like manner we are all called to present our bodies as living sacrifices or places of worship (Rom. 12:1). Cleansing our mind, heart, and body is a challenging process involving much hard work. But after our “temple” is cleansed, it becomes more useful as a place of deeper worship and joy as we experience more of the fullness of God’s presence. insightful posts, penworks!...........thank you for them! the forced denial of one of the most primal components of humanity, our psycho-emotional "being", was a cruel tool used by vic to "help us renew our minds"......as with so many other normal human attributes, emotions and the expression thereof required redefinition, because, in the long run, normal, human, psycohoemotional response to vic's twisted "training" tactics, would have encouraged any "normal", thinking, feeling, person to listen to their "gut" (as penworks described).........and get the hell out of there!!......but, part of vic's own psychopathololgy included the destruction of normal human thinking/feeling and replacing the resulting psycohemotional void with a pattern which allowed for that subtle, covert control over the people he was "training" in order to "set them up" for his attempts to feed his perverted "needs".....for sexual predation and absolute control over every aspect of his "kiids'" lives!.........please allow me to quote from another thread............ a critical "need" of any totalist system's ideology is to discourage, and eventually annihilate any critical thought among its adherents..........this necessity requires constant, aggressive, attack on the "normal" vocabulary of the followers in order to re-program the individual thought processes to align with the group-think mentality that fosters the reliance upon cult propaganda, which, in effect, obscures from view what the cult is really saying to its followers and the real world!................it fosters an arrogant, exclusivist mentality that sees the exclusion of "normal" idioms of speech as a "sacred mission" requisite to the spread and acceptance of the totalist ideology.............e.g. "the word over the world"!..........it helps to get the folowers to think in absolutes.......black or white only.........no gray or shades thereof!!!..............only "we" are right........."they" are wrong!!!!................it generates a false sense of security in the "rightness" of our group and a generalized disdain for the "wrongness" of all those who "oppose us"!!...................if you don't speak correctly, you will not think correctly!.........if you don't think correctly,("renew your mind"), you will never believe correctly!.........that's why you need "us" to correct your speech, so that "we" can correct your thinking and get you to vigorously believe what "we" say!!!!..................this psychodynamic is true of all totalist systems.............there is absolutely no room for individuality................no room for freedom of expression.............."the household" is your freedom..........all else is "slavery" to the "old man nature"...........so.......the lie becomes the truth...........just like goebbels sneered.................."tell a lie loud enough, long enough, and eventually............" the same is true regarding the re-programming of the emotions of the faithful......to successfully generate "group think" to replace individual critical thinking and reliance upon one's "gut feelings"......anyone expressing indivuality which ran contrary to vic's doctrines was of neccessity "shunned".......it is required in order to avoid the spread of critical thinking which would lead any normal person to question and eventually reject what "the teacher" was saying!!..... at the same time, the repression of normal human emotional expression generates dysfunction of the same!..which dysfunction is a necessary component in the 'leader's" toolbox to exert the powerful control over the group necessary to accomplish his wicked "goals"!............. thankfully, enough of us were able to break the chains of the "mind control" and restore to ourselves reliance upon our individual critical thinking processes and our own "gut feelings" to finally break for freedom!!!..............thanks to god for his grace and help in saving us from the horrible repression of thought and emotions prescribed for us by the "teacher"................"free at last!....free at last!!......thank god almighty, we're free at last"!!(MLK)..................peace.

wow!!!!!.......tremendous posts by you twinky, watered garden, doojable, rascal, potato................... the reason twi doctrine is laced with anti-woman venom is simple.........vic was a dyed-in-the-wool, really nasty MISOGYNIST!!...............he despised women......as if you women here at the spot had'nt already figured that out!!!...........he hated his mother, abused his wife and daughters, and inculcated that vicious misogyny into all the "leadership" training he ever devised or stole! when leaving twi, judy m from illinois, a FC grad and vp victim, turned me on to a book that really opened my eyes to vic's misogynistic attitude towards women.......i remember the title, but not the author's name.......MEN WHO HATE WOMEN AND THE WOMEN WHO LOVE THEM........a must read for any one (man or woman) who really wants to fully understand where vic was coming from as the great mog abuser of his sisters in christ!!!.......and to understand all those other idiots who followed him into the disgusting depths of abuse of their sisters in christ!!!..............the impact of vic's misogynism cannot be underestimated........and it must be understood in order for folks to make any kind of sense out of the ridiculous teachings regarding the christian marriage relationship as twi taught it!.......the volume of marital dysfunction generated by these horrendous "teachings" also cannot be underestimated!.......i encourage all those who seek to unravel the twisted doctrines imposed upon their marriage by twi, to get a hold of that book......it will provide good insight as to why you wives and single women "knew in your hearts" that something was'nt right with the way you were treated and viewed!.......it will also provide good insight for any men who "bought into" this crap or ever felt guilty about not being the kind of "head" vic and/or the dancing prez told them they had to be!!!..........i found much understanding and closure from reading that book............ and began to realize how profoundly ill both vic and the okie oaf were!!!.....................peace. hey tonto!,,,,,,hey strange one!!!............always a pleasure meetin' up with youse guys here in da forums!!!!............. bill m was a very accomplished psycho-emotional bully, to put it mildly!!..........i too had my "confrontations" with him in front of the whole corps!!!.......but no worry......he was just trying to make up for being "small" both in stature and psychosocially!!!!.......he did provide a lot of valueable stuff for those in the corps who could get around his interpersonal bullying.......but, for many, the price was far too steep to really be able to honestly say, "it was worth it"!!!! and, tom...i don't think you'll be running into him any time soon, seeing as he's dead!!!........however, your heart for tonto and t-bone is much appreciated, and, i for one, know that you would absolutely do what you said were you ever to run into him!!!.........strange you are.......just as you are forthright and caring!!!......i love you dude!!!!!...................................peace.

this was just such an absolutely terrific weekend.......just dunno what to say!!!......wonderful people, beautiful hearts and fabulous sharings from those hearts!!!.......ex 10 and hubby were most hospitable hosts.......hubby cooked so hard on saturday that he just plum tuckered himself out!!!......and talk about cooking.........dooj was outstanding!!!!!,.......best bracciole, lasagna and sauce i've had in years!!!!......she may be short but she sure can cook!!!!.......and strange totally lives up to his name.......really tough keepin' him away from the cat food........and the kitty litter!!!!....lol.................and meeting the folks there that i never really knew before was like coming home for thanksgiving dinner!!!!.......it was like i've known them forever!!!!!.......such talented, interesting and loving people!!!!!.........did'nt want anyone to leave!!!!!! thanks to all who came and shared their lives with us!!!......it truly was a privilege and pleasure........................love, and....................peace!
