    Soup to Nuts

I experienced the same thing as Oakspear and TheHighway. :) They went so far as to track down the source of a Pitney Bowes number to find out who I was. I also asked about Craig and Donna's marriage after he left and she became Rosie's personal assistant. I was told it was none of my business. I called Rico after I heard they donated to the Tsunami Relief fund and he was willing to speak with me until he found out I was not with the media. We had the same three meetings. The first meeting was live and in person at the Moynihan's. The second two were at the same place and I know the third meeting was a phone hook-up, but I don't recall if there was a hook-up or tape at the second meeting. I do recall the first being a "rah rah" pep rally / snow job on how great TWI is and how unbelievable the pressure must have been for craig when the floor was opened for questions. People who expressed doubt, anger and frustration at the following meetings usually disappeared soon after. It was the lack of information that drove many of us to the internet. We knew there was more going on than they were letting us know. Sadly, that's still the only recourse for those still involved who want to know anything.
  5. I did, too. :) Sudo, I sent you a copy of my e-mail. I'd be very interested in Raf's take on the piece.
  6. Jonny, I believe you, too. :)
  7. Thanks, Tom. :) I'm doing low carb for my blood sugar and to avoid Diabetes, too. Chas, the body processes alcohol first, so while it's not a carb - it does have to be "dealt with" before the body can go back to burning fat, so, it's not really good if one is trying to lose weight but some people CAN drink moderately (red wine and spirits - not beer or other high sugar/calorie/carb drinks) and lose weight. It depends on one's body, really. If one is not trying to lose weight, then there is definitely nothing wrong with imbibing in a "low carb friendly" drink. :) Here's a great article on it.
  8. HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS, GOOD BUDDY! I hope it was spectacular!!

Alright, Strange One - only because I'm partial to MSU Bulldogs and snowcones, I've hunted down your pictures of that beautiful DixieChick: Here and Here
  10. How Cool, Chas!! As much fun as you are, it will be a grand time. I'm sure all the butterflies will fly away once you're there and y'all hug each other's necks. :)

    Do you snore

People are different and what works for one person may not work for another. When I was married, what worked for us was simply burning a lavender scented candle a few hours before bedtime. :)

Chas, those corgis have the greatest personality. Tank is one handsome dude! In fact, I'm listening to James Herriott's collection on CD right now and just finished the story of a bull terrier & corgi that were best of friends with the corgi being just about the only dog the terrier didn't constantly try to kill. He even let the corgi bite and tug on his ears. .... oh, you probably know it. Anyway, was reflecting this morning on how cool corgis are and how I miss the one who used to live down the street from me. :) tcat, my first dog was named after the first dog I ever loved - a great dane named Duchess. Lovely, lovely dog! Great protection, too!
  14. Not showing up on the puter at work, will have to try when I get home.

    Dog Breeds

For the cute-ness factor, I vote for the Affenpinscher aka Monkey Dog because the face looks so much like a monkey. They are very similar to Schipperkes, WG. And the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen: such a cute, scruffy little dog. Hmmm..... I seem to have a thing for scruffy dogs. There is a couple with five - count 'em FIVE - basset hounds in our neighborhood. Coolest thing to see them all walking, especially if they've picked up the scent of something interesting. One of the bassets is missing right now, so I always keep my eyes peeled for the bugger. I sure hope someone finds him before he gets hurt.

    Dog Breeds

I, of course, am partial to border terriers. I'm pretty sure Jim will claim the same bias. I am particularly partial to THIS border terrier: WG, Jack Russell dogs are very high energy and they are very intelligent. They need lots of attention, exercise and training or they will misbehave like your SIL's. They have done that dog an injustice, I'm afraid. There are good and bad qualities in every breed - it's just a matter of what you, personally prefer. I could not spend hours or megabucks grooming my dog, so any breed that requires that is automatically "off" my short list. I do like many of those dogs, just not for me. I've had two golden/chow mixes that were not only beautiful but bright, funny and just plain awesome dogs. Nero, I don't much care for doxies because of the yipping and whatnot, but those things sure kick boo-tay in earthdog.... as do jack's and borders.
  18. Thanks, Sky! Will check it out for sure.

    'bout me

Welcome, Maria! We've got quite a few folks from CA at the cafe, so perhaps you'll run into some long lost buddies. Regardless, yes, you are indeed in good company. :) You're timing is perfect! I just took some cinnamon rolls out of the oven. First order's always on the house. Enjoy!

  22. 3Cents, you would know for sure, wouldn't you? :) I'm just darned certain that I read they did that, maybe it was under Craig's reign? I'm trying to find where I read it, but I think it was on WayDale because I'm having trouble finding it. It was people I know who said it - I just can't remember who. I vividly remember reading it, but not what WC they were in. I did find this post here from at least one person who was tested.
  23. :eusa_clap: Most excellent interview! I'm still working my way through it.... it's A LOT of information and extremely interesting. Here's a link to a thread where the Yak Twig is mentioned that I found interesting. :)
