  1. I believe that is specifically what he said....
  2. Chase Field capacity is somewhere around 45K. Not all of the seats accommodate reasonable views. Currently, the least expensive tickets still available for tomorrow cost $60, plus if purchasing online, a boatload of fees. They've sold nearly all of the seats... they're just b1tching too much. That's what I told him on the phone earlier this evening. btw, Hap... IF Rockies fans want to fly down here AND be able to see the game live, they'll likely still have to go through "brokers" (many have convenient "offices" right outside the stadium).
  3. That's why I said "pretty much"... to hedge just a bit. I know there's a cat breed like that too.
  4. 1 YES 2 YES (not that I'm any kind of authority).
  5. Pretty much ALL of them do (I think, but not being a biologist by trade, I have to hedge on that)... unless they are cold-blooded species... except for the inconsistently/inadequately furred members of the (NOT cold-blooded) species HOMO SAPIEN!
  6. btw, I would have (if I had answered prior to Lifted UP) said the same answer as rhino about the run scoring... for the same reason.
  7. How'd he die! Why do you have to do it by a Word attachment? What's wrong with just copy and paste the text into a post?
  8. Well, it's OKAY with me if the Indians win... I figure the Dbacks will have an easier time with them than the Sox (which beat the Dbacks two out of three games in Phoenix in June)... ... of course, that would be IF the Dbacks can knock off the Rockies first! Just practicing my trash talkin.
  9. I BARELY (pun intended!) remember the naked females... and certainly would not have been paying much attention to someone selling beer. Sorry. Yeah... whazza "chi-chi?"
  10. It would be quite presumptuous of me to profer guarantees. I'm NOT that "tapped in" to the "baseball gods!" I was, however, pleased with the outcome of last night's game. btw, if Steinbrenner is going to fire anyone, it should be the MORON that decided to bring Clemens back for the 2007 campaign... oh, wait, that would be HIMself, wouldn't it?!
  11. That's okay... the BoSox are probably going to win the ALCS anyway.
  12. Good grief, what does Regis know about baseball? Still can't respect the Dbacks, eh Linda? Make sure you don't watch ANY of the ALCS in HD... or you'll be hooked before you know it (unless, of course, the BoSox win that series).
  13. Back in the day... let's see, some 25 years ago, in SoCal... Black's Beach in or near San Diego... I guess it was such "excitement" I don't remember much detail... obviously, went mainly because of the novelty/to observe. But because others were nekkid, I (THEN) had no qualms about "letting it all hang out." As I recall, though I spent several months in SD (working for a now defunct telecommunications provider), I can only remember having gone once.
  14. And even IF ALL of their interviewees gave wrong answers, I SERIOUSLY doubt they chose a representative sample of the population of the US. Is this maybe something from Leno's "streetwalking" or whatever he calls it? OH, I know, he calls it "Jaywalking." (I think)
  15. This scenario most closely approximates my thoughts, feelings and actions on the subject... AND, it's pretty warm here in the desert more often than not... and when it's NOT warm, clothes are needed for OTHER THAN absorbing perspiration. One more caveat... I don't have to deal with perspiration on my whole body, just part of it. I do, however, NOT have to deal with having children in the house... AND, as soon as I come home (or into the house), my shoes come off, but I have to keep the socks on (uncomfortable otherwise). Hey Dan, just remember how old most of us are! btw, I figured out the problem with frying bacon with no shirt on back in the early 1980s... learned by experience!
  16. If the receiver is included, then the new dish will (almost certainly) be included. The dish is pretty much the least expensive component... but there's a part hooked up to the dish that is like a receiver also... but it probably all is included, whether you'll be going with Directv or Dish Network. Yankers are done for the year. I can't imagine you'd want to miss the NLCS and ALCS in HD!
  17. They're probably looking to the fans in Chicago for that inspiration! (i.e. ... there's always next year...) So, when will you have HD?
  18. Make sure you can get TBS in HD! ;) Yes, the Yankers won't go down without a fight... Steinbrenner threatens Torre, but whose idea was it to hire Clemens? What a maroon!
  19. Well, it's probably at least ONE key. I'm sure we go into marriage with unresolved baggage. And likely most of us didn't realize it until it was too late... I know that's the way it was for me.

    The Mom Song

    I certainly can relate!

    Madeleine McCann

Is there any other plausible scenario?
  22. Excellent insight Hap. In fact, in those last two regular season games, Melvin put more of the most recently called up rookies in the starting lineups. So, even though the kids played their hearts out (even then), it wasn't necessarily the "A" team at every position or spot in the batting order. Indeed, Clint Hurdle deserves some consideration for M.o.t.y., it REALLY has to be Bob Melvin's already. No question Matt Holiday is league MVP, and Tulowitzki deserves consideration for rookie of the year. But Melvin should get the manager recognition for leading this rag tag group of KIDS that got NO respect from baseball analysts even into last night's game. Anyway, if Melvin doesn't get the accollade, I doubt he'll be overly concerned if the Dbacks win the NLCS and the WS. btw, the Dbacks' payroll also was in the same range this year.
  23. And THIS Rock(y) likes the snakes in 5... However, it IS pretty difficult to count the Rockies out... the HOTTEST team in MLB over the last three weeks.
