  1. What’s ironic are the times when I have admitted being young and naïve to fall for wierwille’s con – and Mike jumps on that to say how smart and discerning he was to ignore wierwille’s ‘petty shortcomings’ and just absorb ‘The Word’. A weird role reversal for sure… maybe a pot calling the kettle black thing. "The pot calling the kettle black" is a proverbial idiom that may be of Spanish origin, of which English versions began to appear in the first half of the 17th century. It means a situation in which somebody accuses someone else of a fault which the accuser shares, and therefore is an example of psychological projection,[1] or hypocrisy.[2] Use of the expression to discredit or deflect a claim of wrongdoing by attacking the originator of the claim for their own similar behavior (rather than acknowledging the guilt of both) is the tu quoque logical fallacy.” From: The pot calling the kettle black - Wikipedia "oh, I feel so stupid! Why didn't I just ignore wierwille's petty shortcomings of plagiarism, delusions of grandeur, egocentrism, hypocrisy, moral depravity and just absorb 'The Word'...(then looking upward toward a predator's haven, with tears streaming down face - as seen on TV - hi Jimmy Swaggonmeister ) I have sinned Lord Anti-Idol !"

  3. Life is NOT about being perpetually chained to a group because one doesn't want to lose God's "hedge of protection." If you want to stay attached to twi because you genuinely love the lifestyle, more power to you. But if you harbor hidden cognitive dissonance, you CAN break free and won't be in any more danger from the trials of life if you go. This brief discussion of (emotional) antifragility may help. There is light at the end of the tunnel. There are communities where people understand and relate to what you've been through.

  5. And hers' the thing...I would have no problem with wierwille "putting things together" if had hadnt lied and said God taught him the Word like it hadnt been known since the first century and then one finds out that most all he "put together" supposedly under God's direction came from contemporary sources without the original aouthor's knowledge or permission. Think the call that p..p..p...la..g...what that word ?

  6. Princeton Theological Seminary is a real educational institution. The problem is that it's not the same place as Princeton University. Many people were led on and left to believe they were one and the same. Now, Pike's Peak Seminary, on the other hand was...can I say bogus here?

  9. I thought he wrote the literals and everything else that has his name on it from his own work and walk with God. That's what wierwille said and the way international still says. It wasn't until I did my own homework and was willing to face the truth that I dropped the way international and their lies.

  12. The first thing that comes to mind after reading this diatribe is all the fear that was attempted to be injected into all of our lives by a TWI President declaring that we would be “greasespots by midnight” if we ever walked away from “gawds ministry”. I am certainly thankful for Jesus Christ my lord and savior for the strength to navigate through that false teaching and it’s impact upon me and the community of Christians I have interacted with. The problem with this line of reasoning is that it ends up in uncertainty. People exposed to and adopting the teaching view their own past and others lives with a lense of “mental assent” and “cultivated fear” as their boogeyman and never truly certain whether boogey is gonna get them or not. Like you. Suggesting that somehow repetitive reading of 6th grade level material is going to either jump someone over the “mental assent” gap or somehow after 20 years they can read, understand, live principles but still be “mentally assenting” This instability and insecurity is not introduced by the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ it is taught by conspiracy theorists with a view to isolate and control you for their own benefit. My response to VPs horse $hit is mentally he can F off down the road with that garbage. Jesus said “my yoke is easy and my burden is light” So if your personal doctrine twists you up and does NOT provide genuine answers it’s probably a false prophet in back of it.

  13. Mt 5: 43You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,s 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same? See, you can get blessings whether you are righteous or unrighteous - whether you do what TWI says, or whether you are a grease spot by midnight. You get sun and rain just the same. God's blessings don't depend on us being part of some organisation, or indeed on anything at all apart from God's goodness. However: Php4:Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. If you want God's peace as well as his general blessings, there are things that you need to do. And: John 16:23In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. 24Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. You get blessings because of your confidence and trust in God. Not because of your confidence and trust in some orgnisation. Especially a corrupt one.

  18. So if Everyone insists Mike is wrong then Mike is right. Does that mean if Mike is right about something Everyone else is wrong? What if Mike insists HE is wrong? Then Everyone insists he is wrong, Making Mike right? If Everyone insists Mike is right, . . . Then he must insist he is wrong

  19. I dont think that God actually endorses any organization. Its people who say that their organizations are godly and God is involved. So, I feel that God transcends organisations whether they are good bad or indifferent. Organizations are the works of men and Jesus Christ will judge the works of men on their own merit on that future day. So some organizations may be right on target and others not so much. To say that God instituted a 501-c3 is ludicrous. Especially when you search the history/requirements for a 501-c3 because there is a strong influence of what can be said or not said or you lose your tax exemption status. So the claim that the way international is gawds minustree is complete trash. God is not limited by an organization, in fact God isn't limited. With that said, God loves his people even if we are deluded on our various doctrines and are stumbling around from here to tin-buck two in cult land. Nothing will seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. So, whether in TWI or the roman catholic church God takes care of his people and loves and nurtures in spite of how goofy we get on doctrinal issues. Now does that mean there arent consequences for doctrinal errors? Nope. Wierwille's writings and hodge podge theology scrambled my eggs rather well when it come to all things God/Jesus Christ and Im still sorting it out. Does it mean that God endorses an ungodly cultic organization like the way international because his people are unfortunately stuck in it's grips? Well, did God endorse the pharisees because Saul was a participant for much of his earlier life? What we see is Jesus Christ drawing Paul out of the corrupt organization he was in and setting him on a new trajectory and newness of life. Paul was willing to be led. So my long winded answer is God isnt endorsing a group or its leader by taking care of those who are involved in said group(s) thats just what God does. When I got answers to prayers in TWI it simply meant that God answered my prayers. Now, I used to think it was reflective of the doctrines that TWI taught....now I just understand that God loves us no matter what and he will bless his people in spite of doctrinal issues. Christianity isnt an intellectual pursuit, though wierwille tried to make it that way. God looks on the heart and scripture is filled with people who loved God, had faith, and lots of error in their minds. Moses was a pagan at the time he turned aside to see the burning bush, yet God lit the bush anyway. None of us have the full picture at this time.

  20. Here's another relevant link: It’s 1944 and sixteen-year-old ballerina and gymnast Edith Eger is sent to Auschwitz. Separated from her parents on arrival, she endures unimaginable experiences, including being made to dance for the infamous Josef Mengele. When the camp is finally liberated, she is pulled from a pile of bodies, barely alive. The horrors of the Holocaust didn’t break Edith. In fact, they helped her learn to live again with a life-affirming strength and a truly remarkable resilience. The Choice is her unforgettable story. **** Btw, now in her 90s, Edith is still alive "and kicking." Her story is phenomenal.
