hello shell, I know your a great parent and will do whatever is best with your kid. My personal opinion is that kids should not have contacts until in the teens and then only then if they seem responsible. My daughter got contact lenses when she was thirteen and she still didn't care for them and ended up wearing glasses still to this day. Although she is looking into wearing them again, I hope at age 19 she will be ready. This is only my opinion for my kids. Every parent and every kid is different.

I think its great Dot, that you are an honest person and do your best. But sometimes picking out someone else's mistakes makes that person a whiner if done enough times. Bosses don't want whiners they want people that can work together and get the job done. By pointing out other's mistakes does not make working together a great atmosphere. I sure wouldn't want someone telling on me when I had done something that you thought wasn't good. Then you get people complaining about you and thinking 'oh she doesn't think her sh!t don't stink'. I'm not saying your this way, Dot, I'm saying that this might be what people perceive. I say keeping your mouth shut and don't worry if someone is doing whatever by the water fountain. Its none of my beeswax. If someone gets credit for what I did, then there are ways to let others know without being a tattle tale. Might I suggest looking at your problem from the outside from others eyes to see what might be going on? I'm sorry if I sound harsh don't mean to be and don't take it personal. Maybe its a case of you needing to lighten up a bit?

The first years of when I left I waited for an apology. In fact I felt I needed it. It had cut to the core of my heart. I did have someone write me an e-mail and apologized and I didn't even realize she had done anything but she had thought about it for years and it bothered her. It did make me feel good. Now years later it doesn't really matter. So much has been in the past now and I have moved on. If they apologized now it would make me happy for a day or two but it won't guide me to having a great life afterwards....lol I already have a great life. No, I wouldn't go back to twi in a million years!!!!! I would rather pick life than death!!!

I know exactly what I would have said and it is similar to geo's. I would just say F you and walk away. Not worth the time and effort for someone as dimwitted as him. I was shopping and a guy tried to talk to me but all he stared at was my boobs. Nothing else. I didn't even have a face. Decided that the next time that happened I was going to stare at a guy's crotch to see how they like it. And darned if it hasn't happened yet.....

I don't trust anyone who I haven't even met in person let alone ever heard their voice. Now that doesn't mean that I can't obtain some people I chat to every once in a while and 'feel' that I know them. But I wouldn't put total trust in them....in fact I've learned never to put total trust in anyone. Heck, I don't even trust my own kids, why would I trust anyone else? I mean like HELLO....
