Heck! People who teach that Christmas was originally about Jesus are spewing fiction too. Actually, it was the Winter Solstice holiday _stolen_ from the pagans by the Christians who wanted to use it for their own evangelical purposes to endeavor to win over the pagans to their beliefs.

Thanks, Raf, well-written! It still stings with me that my ex stole Santa from my son by telling him, at age 5, that Santa was really Saint Nicholas, who died hundreds of years ago, and my son went on the bus to announce that Santa was dead. The true meaning is that Santa gives secretly, without expectation of so much as a thank you. Kinda like Jesus, yes?
