What's the point. Who cares.h As far as I have heard the leadership is 99 percent new recruits who haven't figured out what the heck they have gotten themselves into. There are only a couple of old timers on the field who were jerks and still are. There is one that I think is a decent fellow and have no idea why he's hangin' around. I only brought it up because at the very least the threat of using this kind of power would scare the bajebees out of the oil companies. I'll bet you would see gas at half the price it is now. (There is enough oil for the world to last for 200 years.) The oil companies are only raising prices based on future consumption.

Dear Lisa- I am sad to hear what you went through. Most of us went through abuse, it was a cult we were sucked into and hopefully we are trying our best to forget it like a bad dream. I was happy because I was told to be happy. LOL In answer to your question, when I look back now. At first I was happy, but they sucked the life out of me and gradually I became a walking zombie. And if you ask anyone with any brains that exactly what happens to anyone who stays long enough. Now, I'm seeing some of that life I once had come back and it's reflected in my accomplishments. Did anyone see the interview on Oprah with the girl who got out of the Colorado city cult. She says-- ----- you are not allowed to leave the cult through fear and intimidation. ----- decisions are made for you by the leader and you follow what he says because his will is God's will ----- you are told (encouraged) to not have any outside relationships with the world. ----- if you do not listen to what they have decided you are banned and cast out. scary, very scary doesn't it remind you of something, uh......oh.......twi....oh my God they should all be hung.

I hear you. They had a good thing going. Many of us learned some good things from some of the honest people that were involved. Many good folks who spoke up were sent packing. I'll always be thankful for those guys. We will never know until the return how much impact it really had. Until then I know I don't need any man or ministry to show me that God is real and he will take care of those who trust him.

They told me I was not welcome to attend any fellowships. I told them I wouldn't come back if they gave me a million bucks and then told them they were @@@ holes.

Great thread Sky-Hit the nail (or mog) right in the head. Where are all the VP defenders? Guess they can't say anything now they been shown where the guy was coming from. Another problem arose from their lust and greed that they never counted on. I know of several leaders from limb leaders on down who got wind of the "secret mog sex games" and went at it with anyone they could get their hands on. Ruined a lot of people's lives. I still say they should be hung. The whole lot should be put in jail. And where were the wives? They knew what their men were doing, counseling woman at late hours of the night one on one. If they had any guts they would have left these bozos. These supposed leaders were always counseling women one on one contrary to what they were teaching. Hypocrites.

That's gotta be one of the creepiest things I ever did see.

It all started when one poor child dialed 911. I can see something like this happening with twi someday. I know many here who were either molested or beaten in the name of the ministry. Have you heard Dr. Phil interviewing some of these folks who escaped the cult in Colorado. Doesn't it remind you of the way. When people would leave (escape) the cult they would have nothing. Everything was under suspicion. The cult made money using these people like slave labor. Tje cult ideals were lauded higher than family. To them you are dead if you are not part of their community. Woah-deja vu.

If you read back through the "twi" thread you will find many posts about recent events. I was in till 2003 and have associates who are still in. Ask away. I can tell you fore sure it's more boring, more dead, more stifling, more religious than ever.

Those who were involved in the adultery know that what they were doing was wrong, they just didn't want to give up their good times. They are the ones who will have to answer one day. I have nothing against catholics. There have many good people. But what's with the "circus suit" the Pope wears. He looks like a cartoon character. Can't they come up with a better outfit. I guess it's part of the show.

Why is this allowed. That's my question. These men should be hung out to dry and put in jail (VP and LOY should have been locked up too). These men raped 6 year olds. Sounds like child abuse to me.

Have you seen the movie "Jesus Camp". It is a documentary about the evangelical movement. Very scary. Brings back memories of twi horror. But worth watching to be reminded of what we escaped from.
