Happy New Year, everyone, and may we all be freed of delusions in the coming year!

I think we have a pretty good teacher. If you can go beyond what the holy spirit is willing to teach - well, you're doing well. You must be bigger than God. Whose knowledge is infinite. John 14:6 and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you. Luke 12:12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” However, going beyond what some human being taught you is definitely achievable. God graciously gave us brains to think and to work things out. He expect us to use this marvellous gift, this ability to think.

There's a school of thought that says life is an eternal NOW. Right now, Jesus is being born. Is living and ministering. Is being crucified. Is being resurrected. And Moses too is right now being born, living, dying and - whatever. Likewise, following that line of thought, our great-great-great grandparents and our great-great-great grandchildren are being born, living, dying, and ... ? I understand quantum physics sees time in a different way. Jesus, Moses, your ancestors and your descendants, are all alive now (as well as being dead). But not alive in any way we can comprehend. Oldies, we have only one earthly life to live. We don't get a second go (reincarnation). I do not believe in any purgatory or post-life redemptive process (prayers for the souls of the dead, doing penance etc) except what's dross in my life will be excised, burned up, removed, so that all that remains is what I did in love. Somehow, the positive energy of what was done in love remains. How? Who knows? The best anyone can do is live life the best they can, love God the best they can, help fellow human beings the best they can, and leave everything else to God.

With the internet being *the information highway*...... we are able to relay this information, and dispel twi's misinformation (deception) for anyone who wants to partake. Why does twi WARN THEIR PEOPLE TO STAY OFF THE INTERNET? As corps (who were indoctrinated with lies).... we were repeatedly told twi's history and falsehoods. Then, the most adamant sycophants (loudmouths) went on to leadership positions, ie region coordinators. Yet, how many lies/falsehoods have we uncovered... Wierwille's death certificate is examined (another thing twi tried to hide). Etc. etc. Practical, common sense critical thinking analysis on all of these threads. Far from wayspeak.... this is the KIND OF INFORMATION THAT SETS PEOPLE FREE FROM INDOCTRINATION. Peace.

I can't exactly answer for Skyrider, but GSC is comprised of input from active members...so I think he means he's glad to see we are still making viable contributions to the stated purpose of GSC vs GSC bring an entity capable of independent action of its own volition, and by design or inadvertantly punishing innocents.

Thanks guys….. life is good, all is well. It’s good to see GSC continuing to sound the alarm as we move into the 2023 new year. Even though twi tries to guilt advanced class grads and corps to *come back to leadership roles*…. that horse don’t ride anymore. GSC’s impact has traveled FAR and WIDE. All who’ve contributed to this effort….I raise my glass in salute to you. We are on the right side of this, while twi hides in the shadows of evil.

Those of us who exited twi, AND have now done extensive background research on the cult (as opposed to being carried away by youthful groupthink and peer pressure).....maintain strong convictions of the manipulation and exploitation from the cult. It is my belief that most will recognize the early warning signs of an abusive relationship, sound the alarm for others and stay away. Many of us were deeply entrenched in the programs and networking of this cult. Whether it was WOW, Fellow Laborers, or Way Corps.....we saw the underpinnings that were non-Christian or pseudo-Christian, at best. The higher up the hierarchy, the more Pharisaic the cult's colors show thru. And, when wierwille enters the spotlight of Scriptural scrutiny, the drunkenness, serial plagiarism, bullying, striker, sexual predation, misogynic undertones, etc.....put him in the category of a man of the flesh. While there are still some who idolize wierwille, and post on GSC......their drumbeating of "this great man" is falling on deaf ears. As adults, we've moved on to the weightier matters of Scriptural integrity....or pursuits in life, career and family that give fulfillment. We see thru twi's deceptive scam that is played on the youth. We stay true to our own personal convictions and a core of GSC-posters stay committed to warning others of this evil that lurks near the flock of God. God bless. Happy New Year 2023.

Your point is well taken. I always took that statement to mean you can't go beyond what's in your head from what you've been exposed to, from whatever source you choose.

Just getting up. Stayed over with a friend, got an early morning cup of tea in bed. Good way to start the new year Lots if fireworks in the valley last night, and in the surrounding hill ridges. Big noises, bangs and low rumblings. .When I was a child, the church bells used to ring, and on a distant train line, engine whistles were blown. No fireworks. Sometimes, someone would come "first footing," and bearing a piece of coal - supposed to bring good luck. These days, not so much of any of that. People are in pubs celebrating together, or at private parties. And they go outside and frighten neighbourhood babies and animals with noisy fireworks. Peace, people. Great travel bag, T-Bone.

What really weird is when I fly to the antipodes... I arrive home before one of my flights has departed, or some such nonsense. Mind you, sometimes when going there I leap from one day to another two days hence. That could be really weird. If you left Australia, NZ or the Pacific Islands on 1 Jan, you might not arrive in Malaysia, Singapore, or wherever until 31 Dec the previous year... I think I'd better go to bed, my brain will start hurting soon. Dateline travel is very odd.

Happy new year to you all, folks. I'm already into 2023 but most of you will still be lingering in 2022. Let's try putting an argumentative year behind and moving on in a little more companionable way, hey? (I can see this as a NY resolution lasting a good 30 seconds.) The memoir of my time in TWI exists here interwoven in threads. While I appreciate those who have published works of their time in TWI for me in my path I choose to focus my public and post TWI life endeavors elsewhere. I post here for recovery, public service, and connection.

Too far along a different path now. Better to look forward. I'd rather write about what I've learned since. Which has a root in what happened then - but indirectly. As I've posted before, I now do a lot of work in gardens. I have learned so much about God and learning what works and what doesn't. How a plant can flourish in unsuitable locations and how it doesn't thrive in what looks as though it should be perfect. I could easily write a book about that! How tending a desired plant, pruning it, nourishing it, weeding, companion plants, giving support, etc, all help. How to shape a plant, to show it at its best. Plants' resilience. Plants' fruitfulness, growth and dormancy periods. Positioning so that none gets in the way of others but that they work well together in shape, colour and usefulness, despite there being many different plants. The weeds: the things that'll spoil the desired plant by taking its nutrients, or entwining it and deforming it, or swamping it with foliage the desired plant can't cope with. Other pests: insects, viruses, and such like. Sometimes even the best(looking) locations sometimes just don't suit a plant. Why? I don't know, but the plant knows. God knows. Put it somewhere else and that might make all the difference. Even sickly plants can be helped along, though they often won't ever do so well. And then there are some plants, that no matter how much care and attention are given simply will not thrive. They seem to get smaller the more they're helped. Ultimately, the only solution is to remove them completely and put something else in place. What sort of plant are you? Are you in the right location, with enough nutrients, light, shade, moisture, and pollinators? Or are you stunted because you don't have your needs adequately met? Are your blooms, perfumes and fruits as delightful as they should be?

Negotiations over the absurd are a waste of time. it boils down to arguments to defend wierwille / PFAL are based on a priori - a presumption that wierwille was chosen and guided by God to teach “The Word” as it had not been known since the first century. Something I find idiotic and idolatrous! ~ ~ ~ ~ My arguments against such undeserved veneration of wierwille’s anti-Christian ideology are grounded - NOT in reverence for wierwille and his works - but on quantitative and qualitative empirical evidence of wierwille’s words and deeds - a potpourri of twisted Scripture, hypocrisies, despicable behavior, the testimony of those he abused, exploited and sexually molested. ~ ~ ~ ~ A theory is an explanation of the relationship in a set of observations. The observations should provide evidence for the theory. Solid evidence supports a theory in the way that legs support a table or columns support the roof of a building. The overwhelmingly contradictory, illogical, incoherent, unbiblical and deviant characteristics of wierwille’s doctrine and behavior leave the a priori of him being chosen and guided by God without a leg to stand on. To argue that wierwille was the real deal - chosen by God to teach “The Word” to the modern world is to say that God is a senile old coot who forgot what Jesus Christ accomplished...and the Old Codger of the Empyrean Domain must have also forgotten that Jesus Christ is supposed to be what doctrine, theory and practice revolve around...the Most Holy Long-in-the-Tooth must have lost track of the truth - for He had wierwille say "The Word takes the place of the absent Christ"... It’s a shame the Transcendent Old Geezer has gone soft on the 10 commandments - cuz He directed wierwille to say "as long as you love God and neighbor you can do as you full well please". Must be Alzheimer’s of the Divine Mind for Him to forget He’s omnipotent and now has to submit to “the law of believing “ once - in the late 60s there was a ‘disturbance in the force’ when the Ancient of Days Cantankerous Creator of the Cosmos had His sacred afternoon nap zzzZZZ ZZZ interrupted by a pseudo-Christian cult-leader shouting something about Jesus Christ coming back as Lord of Lords, King of kings, as God Almighty. The Omniscient Geriatric Prime Mover had to confer with the rest of the divine council at The Metaphysical Assisted Living for Supernatural Beings to determine if wierwille was talking about Him or His Son. Statement to be issued at some future day and time and hour and minute and second and millisecond as it already was were and has have or had been. Who is The Logos? Who's on first? Who is the first? I see. I look at Messiah Lutherans local outreach page. I see they let the Girl Scouts use the building they pay for. I see they host a fair. I see they distribute videos of Jesus life door to door. Then I contrast the job descriptions of volunteer assignments in the Way. One witnesses Christ. The other a class. One helps the community. The other isolates members from the community. One plants good seed. The other plants faux trees.
