  1. And remember to think of your pets in any emergency planning! It may help to ask "What would Lassie do?"
  2. As Waysider said - what wierwille did to folks was in NO way petty. Sorry to take offense at you suggesting folks leave vengeance to some higher power - ha ! AS IF folks revealing all the lies, manipulation, plagiarism, sexual molestations, and misrepresentations made by wierwille could EVER inflict all the punishment that turd really deserves! Save the pious platitudes for some cheesy sugarcoated supposedly "Christian " website. No...you miss the point of Grease Spot entirely !!! It's to tell the other side of the story...not the cheesy sugarcoated self-righteous propaganda wierwille and the way international pumped out to adoring fans - NO -- NOT that story.... Grease Spot tells the OTHER side of the story - the dark underbelly of the beast....aka a brood of vipers....whited sepulchers...Pharisees who search far and wide to win a single convert to make them twice as evil as they are (Matt. 23:15). Grease Spot answers the call of duty for those who were in the wierwille cult - who now want to warn others who might get sucked in - or to help those who got sucked in get out ! This is not vengeance - it's more along the lines of danger warnings and rescue work. NO WHERE in the Bible - - I repeat, NO WHERE in the Bible are we instructed to look the other way and be silent when false prophets try to ply their trade.
  3. those morons should have been bound and gagged to stave off the flow of bull$hit !
  4. Great post , Don't Worry !!! Just like everything else the great con man wierwille sold folks on - a Twig being self-propagating, etc. was just another one of his false sense of empowerment bull$hit ideas. I think an expanded literal translation according to our "favorite" plagiarist's abuse would read: Every Twig is propagating wierwille himself, governed by wierwille himself, supporting wierwille himself. That's not to say this is how every Twig literally functioned - but depending on the degree to which the believers of any particular Twig actually bought into "all things the way international forever rah rah" then for all intents and purposes that's the degree to which they functioned as such.
  5. you left your emergency flashers going after you broke down...no big deal...i can understand your dilemma...you don't want to attract a whole lot of attention but you also don't want someone to accidentally run into you because they didn't see your space ship.
  6. I've got a jack AND I'm willing to help you - but not sure if that's what your space ship needs....if you're broke down anywhere near Area 51 I know where there might be something we could cannabalize some parts from - - and I'm not talking an old WOW-mobile either.
  7. There's Something About Mary - that is a very funny movie ! I love the off-the-wall characters – like the Hitchhiker (Harland Williams) with his 7 minute abs video
  8. Some enterprising individual at TWI Headquarters…or maybe in an offshoot - should come up with a product that would generate some cash flow while at the same time endearing followers to their favorite cult leaders…like say maybe idol nesting dolls… ...now if it was me designing it – I think wierwille would be the smallest doll (being the patriarch of little pi$$-ant idols that he is - - also in another sense - symbolically - after opening up each doll you would finally get to the "juicy caramel center" - - - the con-man who started it all - the rest were merely derivatives of him...or perhaps a seed...a bad seed...like a seed of a weed...not to be confused with The Wrong Seed - - oh get your head out of PFAL and just buy the d@mn idol nesting dolls !)... ....couldn’t find an appropriate image for idol nesting dolls – so I went with the next best thing:
  9. Hang in there George ! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all the folks in trouble...I heard on NPR today the city management of Dallas and Fort Worth are prepping to provide shelter, food basic medical services to thousands of evacuees.
  10. A lot of wierwille admirers have been doing that for years – if you know what I mean…yeah, vpw was a real pain in the neck alright.
  11. Not to be confused with Ebonics…which is cool to listen to…have to slow it down though - - otherwise it’s Greek to me.
  12. Our research is just as good as those we've plagiarized from. == == == == If you want accuracy and integrity in research...go to an accredited school...if you want to waste time and money come see us.
  13. I'm thinking dream #3 may be on the order of a supernatural disclosure along the lines of the whore in Revelation 17.
  14. oddly enough, they worked out a lot better since I left TWI...for example: separate truth from error - - Grease Spot has helped a lot ! more harmony in the home - - family gets along great - - don't have to argue over what to do on Twig night...since we don't have Twig anymore increases prosperity - - oh yeah, since all my money doesn't go to support a cult anymore overcomes worry and fear - - still working on that one...I worry I will run out of sarcastic ways to poke fun at a cult I use to fearfully serve !
  15. Twinky, don't make me come over there and pinch you !
  16. I’m fascinated by comedians (many of whom started out with comedy being their only thing) who later took on some serious dramatic roles: Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks, Jamie Foxx, Billy Crystal, Billy Connolly, Steve Martin, Steve Coogan, and Kristen Wiig…I know some of the classic actors – like Jimmy Stewart, Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant could easily handle comedy or drama… but I wonder if going from comedy to drama is somewhat easier for those who have a long suit in comedy – I tend to think being good at comedy is a lot harder to pull off because there’s so many variables that have to be just right – timing…your target…your “ammunition”…hitting the right tone, etc….in my opinion, a bad drama isn’t such a big disappointment as a comedy that is NOT funny.
  17. Human WTB, I've never seen that - but have read a few summaries about it after reading your post - sounds interesting - I'll have to catch it sometime; Wikipedia says though it was not based on a true story, some critics compare the Forrester character to the real-life writer JD Salinger....and come to think of it - i think i remember a preview about a Salinger movie - i'd like to catch that too. George, I really like Princess Bride too. Rob Reiner was behind that - and also This is Spinal Tap....i admire the way Princess Bride is played more or less straight (maybe that's some of the dorky element you referred to) - while still having a lot of funny lines and situations...my favorite scenes: Westley and Vizzini in a battle of wits and drinking poison, Westley and Prince Humperdinck exchanging threats while Westley is trying to recover his strength, and the visit to Miracle Max & Valerie "have fun storming the castle" ....- - Spinal Tap is often over the top and goofy funny - -but i like that too."does your amp go up to eleven?"....and what bass player isn't impressed by the live performance of "Big Bottom" - if i remember the scene correctly they all are playing bass guitars.
  18. alas....i guess seconds will no longer be available on Shepherd's Pie.
  19. Grace, you're ok in my book...just keep being who you are.....Even though Grease Spot is a cyber-world and at times we all can get on each other's nerves - I still prefer this wonderful divergency any day over that homogenized sugarcoated phoniness of TWI.
  20. Speaking of idols - here's a little ditty about TWI's favorite idol....to the tune of The Carpenter's "close to you" Why do turds suddenly appear Every time wierwille's near Just like pee, they long to be A WASTE of time
  21. Great post, Grace !!! Your post resonated with me on several levels ! And it brought to mind Ross & Kessler's 5 stages of grief and loss: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. I tend to think in some cases - many folks may never "totally recover", "totally heal" , "fully resolve" or whatever you want to call it - from a destructive experience - such as being in a cult for a number of years....that's NOT to say one cannot bounce back, move on, rehabilitate, be on the mend...whatever once they leave a cult...I broke my left hand in a really bad rollover in a work truck; I am right handed - but when Tonto wants a stubborn jar lid opened she calls on old Fiddler Crab T-Bone and his left claw of death to open it; so maybe there's some strengthening in the recovery process - like having stronger critical thinking skills. I consider my recovery as a work in progress until the day I die...maybe still have a few bouts with denial, anger, etc. but I really work toward acceptance as an overall step in the right direction. I think that's a healthy approach - and if I'm not mistaken by your online presence - you seem to have a healthy attitude in your take on things.
  22. If it doesn't make sense...stick around for a couple of years....it will ! == == == == Who needs the keys to biblical research....we just break in !
  23. Pulp Friction is great ! You’ve got me thinking there’s probably another group just below my all-time-favorites…maybe an every-so-often-favorites. Pulp Fiction, Memento, Donnie Darko, Inherent Vice are all in that group with a subset of weirdness all their own – probably a few others I can’t think of right now. They have a temporal-distortion-trippy vibe to them…kind of a non-linear narrative which can be disjointed and often frustrating on first run through – but I get a big kick out of that because it’s such a different approach to storytelling; all of these I’ve watched 3 or 4 times the first year they came out – then after that maybe catch them every other year or something. These movies are almost like puzzles – once I’m familiar with it – it’s fun to revisit after being away awhile to see if I remember how it all goes together. You had to mention Office Space ! I must bring up the big 3 of Mike Judge movies – Extract which is like Office Space but from a boss’ point of view. And Idiocracy – a goofy “futuristic” dystopia – which kinda has some current-times truth to it if you know what I mean. all 3 are big favorites at my house ! By George, I think you’ve got it !
