  1. One of our lady posters ( who I love to bits)on here was in her household 'family' when the co-ordinator noticed she wasn't eating her chillie...she wasn't because of her own whatever reason...they literally forced her to eat the daymn thing whilst gagging and dry retching...is that submission ??
  2. And yet I seem to remember a twi teaching where devil spirits first put out the feelers to see a reaction, i.e. uncle How!e touching a girls bum to see the reaction and if he can push for the next level etc...how do you spell 'ironic'?! on the conscience thingy, someone recently gave me their idea and that is that the conscience is kinda like our 'default mode' when we're not listening to God...I like that !!
  3. As one who 'bashes heads' with the 'mod squad' from time to time, my advice is to take a breather every now and then and enjoy a coffee and learn to agree to disagree !Again, something we were never able to do in twi. Also I am thankful I can semi-politely argue without having to be concerned about the phone ringing or the sound of jackboots walking up my driveway lol...enjoy the liberty and freedom
  4. Skyrider said "At Emporia Campus, when wierwille came to visit/teach.....the corps coordinators instructed us to line the circle driveway and greet the motorcoach with huge, fanfare adulation. This over-the-top fawning was just one more nail in the mog-doctrine, imo. My in-residence twig was one of two international corps twigs on campus.....one Venezuelan, one Canadian, a married couple from Great Britain, and a New Yorker (and 6 or 7 regular joes) --- and just before Christmas break it was announced that a small staff would stay on campus to assist those "who had NO PLACE TO GO" for Christmas. Why didn't wierwille and his lieutenants charter a small bus, or something, and invite these INTERNATIONAL GUESTS/CORPS to hq rather than leave them abandoned on an empty campus, in an empty cafeteria, during the holidays? Where's this "household love?" Where's the compassion? So....I phoned my parents and we extended a gracious welcome to David & Ruth Th0mas (from UK) to spend eight or nine days with us. My parents bought them presents, were gracious in every way....and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed having guests from Great Britain in his home. I don't know why this bothered me so. It was just ANOTHER example of twi-hypocrisy that I began to see up close my first year in-residence. Truth be told.....I had somewhat pondered NOT RETURNING TO THE CORPS PROGRAM AFTER CHRISTMAS so, this small extension of "looking out for the little guy" [and not myself, by bolting] totally changed the trajectory of my life."..... Whilst I understand what you're saying Skyrider, as 'International Corps' at Indiana campus, we relished pretty much having free reign of the campus, helping ourselves to the walk in frige/freezers in kitchen and sleep ins etc....no 'overlords', it was grand !! :biglaugh:/>/>

Thanks for that WW ! I posted without even realising I was taking it back to doctrine
  6. Oh, I think the 'debate' is even simpler to define. Perhaps it boils down to whether one still believes in God and whether one believes in His Word. After all, if one can prove the fallibility of the bible, one can dismiss what we think we know of God and even get to the point of debunking Him altogether. Some choose this path, others stay off it. Either way, the individuals decision does not make for a neutral debate no matter how hard we try

And perhaps this is one of the workings of the holy spirit, freeing up the mind, abandoning the fear of looking silly ? Much to do of the workings of the holy spirit especially in the areas of signs, miracles and wonders appear to look absurd ! I'm thinking cursing fig trees, bathing in the Jordan, coins out of fishes mouths etc...are/were played out with the potential to end up looking 'silly'. perhaps believing really is the absence of fear ?
  8. Hiya Twinky, yes fool is an apt term. When he found out we were still doing church, his message to us was to "never forget where we had come from". My response was "don't worry, we've made sure we NEVER FORGET where we've come from lol
  9. well, correction...not THAT new...he's been working on it for the last 2 years
  10. Here's something recent then...my bro-in-law, an 'innie' based in Hawaii, has been compiling a book on everything that is wrong with twi. He plans on presenting it to the board of trustees at some point. Good 'luck' is all I say
  11. Oh I don't think the 'board' is dead Roy, the frying pans just getting warmed Now the board of trustees of de Vay...they could very well be dead, someone oughta approach the chairs and blow in their eyes just to check ?

  13. I like what you're saying Roy !!! will try and find article I read about the vibrations given off in prayer, love you bro, you are God's child !!
  14. I could ( almost ) handle the BORINGNESS ( is that a word ) ? lol of twi IF they had impeccable morals, faultless love and stringent honesty, transparency and integrity...but I don't thimk that's ever gonna happen...merry Christmas everyone from the land Downunda ...freedom is still the greatest gift
  15. Why isn't it as big as it was in the '70s ? Because they stayed STUCK IN THE '70s

That's pretty deep Roy !! not to mention prayer vibrational healings God bless you brother
  17. wooooooooowwww Wordwolf....all I can say is there would still be those in twi who would do similar as VB if they thought they could get away with it ...sick ba$tards
  18. You're right Twinky. Bumped into Mar##n and Loui$e a couple of times, still in...looked like shells with the life emptied out of them. Always remember J7ff M7lster saying about the day he realised unbelievers around him were happier than the believers he knew
  19. Sending a wow team to little ol New Zealand ?! Sure glad there's plenty of us ex-twi Australians and New Zealanders to fly the flag for GSC then
  20. And I saw bullying in other ways, orchestrated ways actually, like Philemon 21 being quoted to exhort people to do MORE than was required; at other times people being screamed at for doing more than was asked !!!
  21. where's the 'like' button ?
  22. All things are lawful as you quoted, but not all things are profitable. I didn't say one had to work for righteousness, but rather one should 'work it out'...i.e. put it into action. Saved by grace, now ditch the unprofitable and that man shall be blessed indeed !
  23. I've always looked on righteousness as 'right living'...not necessary for salvation, but necessary when it comes to being 'blessed of God'. I do not believe a Christian man or woman is going to be blessed of God for example, whilst living a life of debauchery and blatant contradiction of the righteousness of Christ!.Biblically and practically it does not seem to be the case and I'm sure many of us can testify to plenty of examples we've heard of, read about and/ or been eyewitnesses to.
  24. The term 'so heavenly minded, of no earthly use' springs to mind....well, I'd like to think there's a bit of 'heaven' in his mind somewhere !!
