While I do admire their courage, Twinky.. I just don't think that is a smart thing to do.. Martyrdom. Yeah.. Sounds good, but there's an ego and pride side to that as well.. Actually in Matthew 10:23 Jesus says if you are being persecuted in one city, flee to another, for you will not go through all the cities before Christ returns. Which IMO means don't sit their and let them kill you. What good are you then? What good would Christ had been if he just sat there when they tried and throw him off the cliff? What good would David do had he just sat and waited for Saul to get him. Or Paul just sitting in the many cities when they were after him instead of being let down by the basket from the city wall. No they left the persecution. All these guys martyrs that just said, Fine, take me.. Yeah.. I don't think that was all that smart. Unless of course God told them to, which maybe some were. I don't know.. Jesus was for a purpose at the right time, no doubt. But I don't think that should be the norm.. Sit there and let them kill you. For those in.. get out! You can do so much more out! I guarantee it

Personally, I think much of the accounts in Christian writings are over-spiritualized. Sure, Paul seems to have a method when visiting towns, visiting the synagogue, speaking concerning the basic things of Christ. But I think when it came to actual people, one on one, or groups, it was all personal. It was just sharings of the heart with one another. How else can you find their need? I feel that way about Sat. or Sun churches that have large groups. The typical pastor has to pick something he thinks will meet the majority needs of everyone. Yet it won't meet everyones. It can't. Too much diversity. When it talks about Paul "long preaching" in one section even past midnight, it uses the word dialegomia, dialogue, discussions.. No doubt, when you have too large a group, you really can't effectively dialogue with em all, but "I think" the best times are those one on one, or small groups where everyone's hearts are able to be reached because there's two way communication. There's the ability to get into where each person is at and needs, as opposed to just the basic broad subjects that are hit n miss (IMO).. Just cause some sections people didn't want to hear Paul again, didn't mean their hearts weren't for God, it could be, what was shared just didn't seem to "hit" at that day/time/hour...

Disagree with leadership.. Now that was the worst thing in the world you could do. And it didn't matter how stupid the matter either. Case in point: While working at HQ, I owned a laptop and discovered a flaw in their design. So the manufacturer ended up sending me for no charge a much better model. It arrives in the mail at HQ, and I show this new laptop to my department. And my department head comes over and wants to mess with it. He starts pushing on a button hard that isn't suppose to be pushed on without releasing a different lever, and I try and gently let him know that he's not doing it correctly, to which he disagrees and then goes into a tirade about how I wasn't meek and blah blah blah.. The guy near broke my freakin laptop!

Honestly, you guys just aren't spiritually mature enough to handle it.. That's all. Now hand over your money, cause if you aren't spiritually mature enough to handle that, you certainly can't handle your own $$..

I was at a leaders conference in TX where someone spoke in French.. Not that I knew a bunch of French, but the few words I could understand, I could pick out in the interpretation.. (But then someone who knew that person better than I mentioned the person "possibly" knew French...)

If you are good at it.. Don't give it up.. Heck no.. I do understand the gnawing thoughts that TWI put in there.. They were all about people giving up their talents so they could be TWI's scrub brush or chair stringers... If I was in TWI now, I'd be saying, Renew your mind man, get over TWI and get back into those instruments! lol.. But I'm not.. Thankfully! The expertise I have in certain areas of life, while I still pick them up, I do from time to time have my mind wonder back to the thoughts TWI used to criticize. And all in all, for me, it just serves now as a time to recheck and ensure I haven't left out God in whatever area I do serve in. I think as long as you don't go out and be like some singers that forget where they came from, forget their family and friends, forget God who blesses em, play on!

I hope you know you're loved.. And I'm glad you're out of those screaming fits. And if you need something, don't forget you still have a great big resource like the body of Christ that can help.. (I don't want to say just me, cause I know many on here share that same view, but I'm available if you need something).

Yeah, Sunesis.. That about sums up my thoughts on the matter.. And because of that.. I don't.. Have no reason to. Never saw a benefit. Never did it much while in except when asked. And really ust didn't know what I was doing when I was in. Making up gibberish for certain! lol.. I mean, we were asked to perfect our gibberish by practicing it.. So my gibberish got to be some pretty good gibberish by my standards.. We practiced to make sure there were no repetitions, lots of different sounds, and so forth.. Yup.. Only, my son.. At 2 yrs old.. He does it better.. So I've been outdone by my 2 yr old.. What a tongue he makes up.. I have it on video too! lol.. And then his "other" tongue (His first language is Polish), well, he kinda beats me on that even!

That was it.. Gee.. How the adversary has clouded the truth so much, no one has ever shot a documentary detailing that truth.. I think you might be able to shoot a movie based on these new "facts".. Might actually make some money off of what we know about the adversary. Oh wait, that 's what the Adv. Class is all about.. Doh! Might get a lawsuit over copyright infringement..

I never did bite on all those stupid little "teacher" statues people were buying when I first got in.. First the teacher statues, next they acted like the themed posters were untouchable, then those really ugly BOT pictures, as if I wanted something that ugly in my house. lol.. You betcha..
