Krys -

I always admired your handle and avatar - it's so feminine.

I've looked for some new avatars for you, and offer the following:

You guys are a real blessing to me! (yeah, I know the terminology.....) I had no idea the effect that the butterfly had on you. And your words warmed me and made me feel loved....and that's good, cuz I love you all too.

Chaz, what a bunch of wonderful places you found. I found a pink butterfly who had a few buddies with her - but I'll have to go back and check around again. Thanks Chaz for all your snooping and surfing for me.

We'll see how this plays out. Thanks everybody.

I remember - and your was always one my favorites... Didn't you have a pastel-colored cat cup before that? If I remember correctly, you had said that you got your handle from a Laurel Burch (sp?) cup you had - and I think I have one like it.

This avatar is my first and only one. But yes, that's where the name "Catcup" came from. When composing my first post on WayDale, I realized I needed a "handle" in order to post. When I was pondering what I should use as a "handle," I was holding onto the handle on my favorite Laurel Burch mug. It was a white mug covered in cloisonne cats. I therefore concluded my handle would be "Catcup." :)

Mine is just ...............................me

half crying, half hiding, not sure about revealing too much after leaving.........(what is she crying about anyway???? TWI maybe? loss, broken hearted, angry???)

and a big Lord of the Rings fan.........I used to have Awren and Strider kissing, since that represents my big heart for love...... :love3: (hence ''bliss'')

but, I kinda liked her mystery in this pic..

and we women are full of it! (mystery that is :wink2: )

so I'll keep it.

This was a nice thread - so thought I'd bring it back up as there are a number of new people hanging out in the Cafe since the last post.

My avatar looks like a new day dawning. That's where I feel I am now, on the brink of new and exciting times, with a new outlook on life from a spiritual perspective, and taking my first baby steps on this new journey. Of course, it's a purple day, 'cause that's my favorite color.

Mine is the HOLY SPIRIT Dove, and the name I chose, i.e. BrideofJC, is because this is how I think of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and it is the HOLY SPIRIT

who is preparing those in the church who will be ready to go into the marriage supper of the LAMB.

I love music.-----All kinds-----------Always have.

But, I have a special fondness for blues and harmonica oriented music.

My avitar is a figurine(not one of those fancy schmantzy German ones) that someone who knows me very well gave me a few years ago.

It's a kid sitting on a fence rail playing harmonica.

On his left side is a hound dog with big floppy ears and wide open eyes looking up at him as he plays.

My wife, also a "grad" but not a poster, took a picture of it and posted it for me.

When I first saw it, I was surprised that it has an almost Norman Rockwell kind of feel to it.

That's when my " grandchildren" started looking in over my shoulder and offering their own two cents.

In case you haven't met them, they are Cletus(that's his name), Cleophus(he's the ornery one) and Clara Belle( that's short for Helen.)

I suppose that, in a sense, my avitar is really a part of me that most people never see.

Ha Ha-- My grandson Cletus( that's his name) just said, "Geepers, Grandpa Waysider, are you really gonna post that sappy junk?"

Now, where do you suppose a modern day kid got a word like "sappy"?

Ya know, this got me ta thinkin'.

Those young'uns ain't been around these parts too much lately.

What do you suppose is so all fired important that they don't have time for their old Grandpa waysider lately?
