The Twin Cities Branch

They post their Household Heartbeats online (state level bi-monthly newsletters - latest posted is July/Aug 2006), details of the upcoming advanced class, and lots of photos. There's a photo rotator toward the bottom of the page, but this link is better: TTCB Photos

Found this one interesting from their WAP class run this in 2002:

x1pnp_rgmi5o50ZpVUumezZKV95wWQMUa45w6ObtmURhq3FV88v41f_O_5L1Bms-T4y4jrbe5e4VMNK5ApqGFoxsv0YUF359x0ifCi6pa7GhBzIRsHVxv4hIimeZ6I4mSSbbLT9IWXNMNY

Notice Craig's book in the back right.

Notice also it appears they haven't run a class since 2002.

If all these pictures were from 2004, I wonder how many are still standing. They were young and I have a tendancy to believe that they are just getting old enough to take these classes. TWI Mom and Dad's offspring!

I have to admit I laughed when I saw some of these people wrapped in blankets, sweaters and coats. I can't help but remember how darn cold I was when I took these classes. :sleep1: One thing I have to admit, they know how boring these classes are and they had to do something to keep us awake.

The lingo makes me want to puke. I cringe everytime I hear the way lingo!

aw c'mon... it's a nice little site... I was just wondering why no one had on nametags... and where were all of the youth? it was a youth advance at someone's house?

No Tom, it was a class. There's been at least one (that I know of),

run in the past year, and most likely some others I don't know about.

What surprises me, is that they actually have a site up, and yea -- now that you mention it --

there are no nametags!! Woooo!

I used to get promo stuff from B & R Sage (been around a year now) for the stuff they were promoting

down there in the twin cities (mpls./ st. paul). Seems like twi is *alive and well* in the twin cities,

at least it is if you look at their *newsletters*, and (now) their website.

Mpls/ St. Paul has a host of twi/ ex-twi groups that range from wap classes,

to the original pfal (run on a farm -- near Anoka Mn),

and the group that granddaughter has been speaking about.

It's a smorgasboard of shoots, and off-shoots up here.

Wait a minute -- this is Minney-soda. It's not a smorgasboard -- it's a LITTLE LUNCH :biglaugh:

I'm confused by the class dating.

In 2002, they were teaching "live" classes, after having dumped Craig's video version. Yet in the pictures they are definetly setup to watch the TV.

The only date in reference to their class is on the main picture screen, saying:

THE CLASS!

May 02

I'm thinking it's a typo, or is in reference to May 2nd of this year. It would make more sense, since the new video class came out around this time.

Greasy Tech -- good questions, and I don't know the answer.

When a bunch of us were kicked out of the *my space* forums, they said that now classes were taught live, since Craig was in disgrace. Mebee they have re-negged on that??? I don't know. But yes -- yer right -- video -- up front and center. <_<

Makes ya wanna go Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Ok, let's see what the books are here...

Dead center.

Bullinger's Companion Bible.

Front left,

Pillai's "Light Through an Eastern Window" and Volumes 1 and 2 of "Orientalisms in the Bible",

complete with the Orientalisms Index (study guide).

Front middle:

Brochure: "Workmen of the Word."

Front right:

"Strange Scriptures That Perplex the Western Mind",

and "Manners and Customs of the Bible."

(Two copies of "Strange Scriptures", I wonder why?)

Back right:

"Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed"

"Are the Dead Alive Now?" (2 copies)

"Jesus Christ is Not God"

and "Rise and Expansion."

Why the heck is "Rise and Expansion" such a heavy book

when lcm's always light on content?

Back left:

On the right is "Witness of the Stars",

then 2 books I don't recognize,

then "Figures of Speech Used in the Bible",

then another book I don't recognize,

then the New Bible Dictionary,

then Bullinger's Lexicon,

then 2 books I don't recognize,

then Young's Concordance.

That's a lot of study materials for people who are not allowed to actually STUDY...

Ok, let's see what the books are here...

Dead center.

Bullinger's Companion Bible.

I have to disagree WordWolf.

Wide-margin Bible (yes),

Bullinger Companion Bible (no)

I have both an (old) wide margin that looks just like that.

I have 2 Companion bibles here -- that look NOTHING like that.

The entire type and page format is different, one from the other.

It makes sense for them (twi) to offer the wide margin variety,

so that *students* can write in the *proper doctrine*,

as they are being taught in whatever *class* they find themselves.

(Just my IMO -- but what they have there, is NOT a Companion Bible.

Companion Bible leaves very little room for notes.

and definitely no wide margins. ) :)

No Tom, it was a class.

I thought it looked like a class... it's just that the pics were tagged "Youth Advance"...

Hey, how about that chair alignment?

The chair alignment looks pretty good NLL... I stretched a piece of string across my computer screen and checked... :biglaugh:

(I figure the little bit they're off is due to the students rocking back in them so I cut them some slack)

I was in the 13th Corps with Bill and Renita ... they look happy and seem to be enjoying serving God in their own way. Admittedly, I think the Way is abusing them and one day they will be sorry they gave their youth to further that organization ... but on the other hand, unless they have changed dramatically (and they may have) from our Corps days, they have pure hearts and a desire to serve God and His people. From the looks of things, they are managing to be a shining light in the midst of a very crooked organization. May God bless them and help them out to a brighter day ...

Someone posted recently that B & R S@ge are Limb and/or Reg. coordinators for this area.

I wonder if Bill travels around packing (a gun).....like he used to during his Arkansas reign (1990-1993) ?? IMO, it always seemed paradoxical to "be packing" and "be preaching" on an itinerary??

Yeah, nice folks.......but don't know how they stomach the legalism and dull droning of rosalie & co.

Seeing that living room set up with those chairs made me shudder. Having been out of twi so long I had forgotten that we used to look at our homes primarily as places to run classes or have fellowships, and the "living" was an afterthought. I just went and stood in my living room for a minute and thanked God that it's arranged for the comfort of my family, and not for the selling of a product.

And then her next thought was how to re-arrange it for the umpteenth time.
