At the moment, no one is actually leading anything.  There is a core group that organizes the phone teachings, but no one is telling anyone what they should be doing.  It's refreshing, actually.

When my friend was asked if he wanted to teach, he chose his own topic - no micromanagement.  That was great!

So it's kind of like Dana Carvey's routine on "organized religion"???

la la la ..... disorganized.....

Hey, Taxidev..........if that is what floats your boat, then go for it.

Me? ........it has hypocrisy and sleaze written all over it.  Imo, there is NO WAY these guys can step away from mother-cult international, and run their own mini-cult, praise-be-to-wierwille national with nothing other than smug hypocrisyThey simply are just late to the splinter party........following in the likes of geer, lynn, carr, finne-gang, seed, burton, wrenn, shroyer, clap-on, panarello, etc. etc.

As far as I know, all those groups tell "their people" to stay off Greasespot........who needs those pesky questions and personal experiences exposed for all to see?  Yet, you consistently come here and express your opinion in how "great" this new splinter is.  Fact is......it belies decades of splinter-history.  The red flags are flying and have been for decades.  All those clichés, buzzwords, and tweaked teachings were red-light, cult-like seductions that have been exposed here at The Spot six ways to Sunday.

I will never walk thru another door that has a twi-offshoot waiting to "teach me da word."

I agree Sky rider, sleaze and hypocrisy written into their DNA, with big boss man mentality ( waiting in the wings ) I predict there will be an announcement within a year concerning who is the head honcho. Will be interesting to see who will be the apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, evangelists. Most of the ones I know in there, forfeited their ministerial rights and privileges before God Almighty YEARS ago.

Allan, bingo!  But, I wonder if the group will be together in a year.  A lot of the people involved, seem to have over-sized egos. I think R&R may bite the dust, in a year.

You are mistaken, sky.  I have never said this group is great.  I may have said my local group is great, but that involves none of those who originated R&R.  I may have said some of the things they've done are great.  But I'm pretty sure I have only said I'm willing to give them a chance to prove themselves, that I've noticed some shortcomings already, and I like the phone call teachings.

But, hey, no group of people is going to be perfect, especially a group that has so many people that had been so corrupted for so long.  I applaud them for leaving TWI, and I am in wait-and-see mode.  Like I've made clear before, I have none of them on a pedestal, so I'm not blinded by any of them.  So far they have done and said nothing that suggests they are in it for the power, glory, or money.

From my perspective they have done and said nothing that suggests they are in it for ANYTHING OTHER THAN the power, glory, or money.

  1. Their past history is an indicator of what they will do unchecked
  2. Their modus operandi is the same as the Way - i.e. phone hookups, teachings, titles, caste system within their "household"
  3. Response to our inquiries show a condescending dismissive response setting themselves up in equality to Paul of Tarsus
  4. No "One Body One Lord" Christian mentality - are not working with, reaching out to, integrating with mainstream Christianity in any sense.
  5. Instead of considering past as dung, there is pride in "how much Word they know" and positions, consider it as a resume entitling themselves
  6. All they have to offer positively now is one more blowhard with a phone hookup (i.e. AT&T pre-breakup technology approach).
  7. Within their group they "apologize to any they've hurt".   Unfortunately those whose lives they deleteriously affected are not among those present in their group, as those people will have nothing to do with them.  They won't say it anywhere publicly for the same reason the Way won't.  Probability of exposure to victim lawsuit.
  8. They send people out "witnessing" to bring people to them, not they go out witnessing to bring people to Christ.
  9. There is a group that decides on weekly teachings.  Right now they are making a display to not micromanage anyone as that is what they b1tched about Rosie.  They are "displaying a better option" to potential followers.
  10. But it's still a core group that decides about the teachings.  Not a democracy like they were propounding to reform the Way.
  11. Their major premise and approach was and is to draw people away from the Way.
  12. Their "demands" letter to the Board of Directors of the Way was an ultimatum.  That's even stronger than Martin Luther's approach nailing a list of unaddressed issues to the church door.
  13. Their outward show, however was one of humility.  "Let's do the Word in confronting those BOD".
  14. Their issues, however, were not Word oriented.  Where in the Word does it say how long someone serves in a position?  Or when retirement is?
  15. They have initiated a "coup" a takeover, a drawing away.  Because of their good words and fair speeches many "twigs" are enamored by them and can just switch allegiance from the Way to the RNR railroad.  This is a passive setup for taking over later.
  16. Their efforts and approach are very similar to the initiatives of Clapp and Shroyer starting CFF.

I am far past the point where someone can show me their teeth smiling, shake my hand, be amiable, and cause me to trust their character.  Can a leopard change his spots?  Can a zebra change his stripes?

I agree.  Those dumb@$$es could probably learn a thing or two themselves browsing the annals here at GSC.

Which were what? Just curious since you named these two. I remember a while back that Pawtucket said Shroyer helped quite a few people coming out of the stress of leaving twi. Your post is really insightful chockful.

Yeah, who did they think they were?  Get outta the state.  Get outta the planet.

The really crazy thing is, Wayfers felt compelled to OBEY such ludicrous commands.

I was in MS with the "Lollys".  They were always kicking people out, or threatening to.  They even threatened to kick a guy out of town who was from there!  And they got mad at him when he took back his furniture that he had left when he went WOW.

We are just like the Way - the same Word - except for without the politics, micromanagement, or controlling rules.

So if you like the Way, or the Word in the classes you learned in the Way, but you don't like the controlling rules, this ministry is for you.

Above was their approach.

This R & R Railroad splinter group might become the most micromanaged, controlled group.......to come down the tracks.  Time will tell.  After all, Moneyhands, Forts, and Horneys took their marching orders from the corps director, martindale, and ran the corps thru the paces of an indoctrination program.  What all did the Moneyhands see and allow to happen at the Indiana Campus?  When wierwille came on campus......how many girls were escorted to wierwille's motor coach late at night?  Or, the Forts at Emporia Campus?  And, don't tell me that the Horneys stopped the pimping of girls to Cabin 12 when martindale came for his visits?

So............these guys "ran with the wolves" who ravaged the flock.  They not only turned a blind eye to the destruction of others........they followed orders to give the bum's rush knowing that lies and character assassination abounded.

These guys were NOT watchmen over the Lord's heritage........

.........how could they be watchmen over the Word of God?

Seems that their premise is to start another splinter group absent the micromanagement, policies and controlling factors of The Way.  Yeah, riiiight.  Well then, they are either clueless as to the depth of issues that should be addressed........or, they do NOT want to tarnish the wierwille brand by addressing the compounding doctrinal issues.  By their non-admission of all these errors and evil............THEY ARE ALREADY CONTROLLERS AND CONTROLLING THE MESSAGE.

  • The doctrinal issues in wierwille's ministry brought about its demise, as well.
  • The Absent Christ......that's one of the cult's biggest foundational errors.
  • Law of Believing........if it all works for saint and sinner alike, why do I need a savior?
  • 7 Dispensations.......fundamentally flawed and sidestepping JC at every juncture.
  • Adultery & Sexual Predation........why did NONE of the corps coordinators confront this?!!
  • Cloning Corps...........the corps program was jaded from its inception.
  • Etc. etc............

Anyone else catch this little bit from the end of that video?  At 56:10 (God granted me the ability to find it within 1 minute of where I restarted the video - praise be!)

Jackie H@rney "We don't want to burn any bridges.  As far as... There's been people that have been cranky with us...  But we love you.  And if you ever want to talk, if you every want to do anything, we're here.  We are not going anywhere.  We are not going to stop ministering...  Because the gifts and the callings of God are without repentance.  And we are not going to be bitter.  We are not going to be starting a website about how bad everything is.  We are going to be moving the Word.  That's our life."

So, DWBH...  how does "Hi, Ralph" fit into this?  Are you "cranky" with them?

I laughed out loud when she made the comment about the website.  Really, Jackie?  Really?  This site is a place people have gone to be healed from the rotting cesspool that is TWI.  This is where I realized I had been drinking from a poisoned well.  Facing that reality doesn't make me bitter.  Calling out the evil doesn't make one bitter (or even cranky).  Showing people that there is life after following a cult leader for years - that is not bitter.

If one is determined to only find the negative at the GSC, that's what one will find. It's not honest and lacks integrity, but this should come as no shock by now. It's really cute the way these splinters like to refer to the GSC and explain why they're not going to explain.   Lots more people got deliverance here and got on with their lives than they've actually HELPED. Perhaps it's "deliverance envy".  The GSC has a proven track record lasting more than 20 years, and they spent the last 20 years as drones to the twi cadre and hurting people whenever they were told to. Either they did that knowing they were hurting the people- and were fine with it because they kept it up for DECADES-  or they hurt people for decades and had no idea they were ruining people's lives.   Either way, that track record should disqualify them all from leading ANYTHING.  But, no, they've silenced their consciences over the decades, so they see nothing wrong with what they did- only with someone pointing it out!  Just like with vpw, where his rapes were forgivable, but bringing them to light was inexcusable!

This was business as usual for all of them FOR DECADES.  But NOW, we're supposed to believe that's all COMPLETELY changed. And they're UNREPENTANT of DECADES of what they did.  Which is proof it hasn't changed.

WW, IMO, the GSC is a place where people try to tell the truth about their experiences with TWI.  Some of us had great experiences in it, and many of us had horrendous experiences in it. I had some great times in TWI, and some terrible times in it.  But, what I really value about the GSC, is that people don't try to romanticize their experiences in it; their experiences were theirs.  I think the R&R group is trying to Bullsheet people, by talking about how loving, and sincere they are.  Where was all their love, and sincerity, 40 years ago??  They knew a lot of what went on behind-the-scenes, and did nothing about it.  Now, 40 years later, they want to "teach The Word?"  What have they been doing for all these years??  They have had years to teach, and now they want to do what they should have been doing for decades??  Forgive me, but I don't like being lied too for years, and years. Nuts to them!

So far, I have heard or seen no one in R&R give this recommendation.  Granted, it is slightly possible I may have missed it.

Shut the fridge up, lady - your sugar coating is starting to melt.

That woman, starting out as a major part of the problem, was never about "moving the Word".   Unless you consider the same ole cover up shenanigans with Craig and bolster your position in a cult moving the Word.   Suffice it to say that of course she won't be looking at how bad everything was, as it would expose how bad she was.  And she has children.

So it sounds like the ex Corpse maven coordinator here has probably heard second-hand about GSC and has a snide offhand comment to make about it.  She wants to point out how telling the truth about the past is somehow different than "moving the Word".   What does she mean by "moving the Word" anyway?  Participating in the council that semi-plans weekly teachings for the RnR Railroad? Does leadership phone hookups with the other band of RnR railroad workers?

Probably not much similar to Jesus life.

You know that "moving the Word" phrase when I reflect on it more has to be one of the stupidest cult ideas ever.  I think it deserves another thread.

I agree, but what would be the major category it would go under?
